At this moment, the little frog, who was suspected of mastering some kind of space-time ability, was staring at Kaito with an innocent look on his face.
Orochimaru didn't know what it was, but Kaito would not make a mistake.
Just now, Blue obviously used the ghost-type skill "Lick", which triggered his own ability "Protean" to transform into a ghost-type Pokémon.
[ Ability - Protean ↓
Effect - changes the Pokémon's type to that of its previously used attack. ]
The biggest feature of Ghost-type Pokémon is that they are immune to Normal-type and Fighting-type attacks.
Judging from the situation just now, it seems that after localization, it directly turns into a ghost body, making it immune to physical attacks.
However, the specific degree of immunity remains to be tested.
Because all the moves that the little frog had mastered before were either water-related skills or general-related skills.
Therefore, Kaito was only guessing all along that Blue might have the hidden ability 'Protean', until it was officially confirmed today.
"Tell me, when did you master the tongue licking skill?"
"No! First tell me how you evolved?"
However, in the face of Kaito's serious questioning, the little frog just replied,
"Quack? (⊙_⊙)?"
Kaito held his forehead in silence.
Looking at Blue, who was almost as tall as him but tilted his head to look at him with an innocent expression, he could only sigh in the end.
"Okay, it's nothing, Blue, you did a good job~"
He put his hands on the little frog's head and rubbed it for a while, looking at his enjoying expression. Kaito himself didn't seem to care so much about these issues.
In fact, he did have some guesses in his mind.
Blue himself has been training very hard recently and may have reached the brink of evolution.
In addition, when he summoned the little frog for the first time, he was covered in wounds and looked quite miserable.
Perhaps it is because of this that the stimulated Blue evolved again.
‘Since I care so much about my little frog, why should I worry about these unimportant things?’
Kisame, who was standing by, also enjoyed the harmonious scene between the man and the frog.
But he couldn't help but step forward and interrupt.
"Doctor Kaito, should we retreat first?"
After hearing Kisame's question, Kaito was also a little troubled.
Regardless of the fact that Orochimaru would definitely continue to chase them, even without Orochimaru's pursuit, it was not possible to escape from the encirclement of nearly a thousand Konoha ninjas.
However, just when Kaito was still thinking about countermeasures.
A figure suddenly appeared beside the two of them and spoke.
"No need to retreat."
The two men subconsciously drew their weapons and were on guard, but after seeing each other's appearance, they relaxed a little.
The person who spoke was Biwa Juzo.
At this time, he ignored the two men who were still holding weapons, but just stood there and looked up at the sky.
Kaito also seemed to sense something and raised their heads to look upwards.
“Sizzle—sizzle—”
“Swish—swish—”
Strange sounds continued to sound in the sky.
Dozens of figures wearing strange equipment flew past Kaito and the other two and appeared above the dense forest.
Moreover, the number of figures equipped with strange equipment is increasing rapidly, and it seems that they are about to cover the entire sky.
"Are they sky ninjas?"
Kaito is very familiar with this strange equipment. Isn't this the gliding flying wing used by the remnants of the Sky Ninja before?
But when Kaito's chakra was poured into his eyes and he activated his 'Keen Eye' to observe carefully, he discovered.
The group of "Sky Ninjas" flying over the dense forest not only had their khaki-yellow hang gliders painted aqua blue, but also had four neatly arranged "~" symbols printed on them.
"Isn't this the symbol of the Kirigakure Village? Our village also has its own flying unit?"
Kaito and Kisame stared in amazement at the reinforcements that kept appearing in the air.
Although both of them participated in the previous mission to deal with the remnants of the Sky Ninja.
They also know that the village has recovered a complete Sky Ninja Ship.
But neither of them expected that the village's efficiency was so high. After only a few months, it already had an established flying unit.
And it can be seen with the naked eye that the number of people in the flying unit of the Kirigakure Village at this moment is far more than the number that can be carried by the previously captured Sky Ninja Ship.
At this moment, the flying ninjas that covered the sky and the incessant "swish" sounds brought Kaito an unprecedented sense of shock.
However, Kaito glanced and noticed that Biwa Juzo standing nearby did not seem to be surprised by this army.
Biwa Juzo, who was not shocked at all, naturally noticed the strange expression of Kaito easily.
He actually spoke up for the first time to explain.
"I have been at the front-line command center. I know that a large number of ninjas in the village were not returned to the village after being withdrawn, but were sent to a remote island for secret training."
"Thanks to the strange ship and the remnants of the sky ninja that you captured, the village later used intelligence to seize all the ships and equipment in their hidden base."
After hearing this, Kaito thought the same thing.
As for Biwa Juzo's identity, he is basically one of the people with the highest status in the front-line command center, except for Karatachi Yagura.
Besides, the Seven Ninja Swordsmen have no intention of defecting at the moment.
It is impossible to hide such important information from him.
"But if you come here now, the Sky Ninja Hang Glider also relies on the air current to fly, so it won't..."
Before Kaito could continue thinking, Konoha once again used the same wind style ninjutsu.
And it is obvious that this time, facing a large number of flying troops, Orochimaru is not the only one who releases ninjutsu.

However, since the Kirigakure Village dared to send such a special force to the battlefield, how could it not have the means to deal with various emergencies?
After all, as one of the five major ninja villages, the Kirigakure Village is not like the Land of the Sky, where without flying equipment, they may not even be considered ninjas.
Kaito saw a group of Kirigakure Ninjas flying at the front of the formation, forming seals with their hands at the same time and releasing ninjutsu.

Countless huge wind balls were spit out from the mouths of those flying ninjas, continuously bombarding the turbulent air in front of them, forcibly smoothing out all the turbulence in this airspace.
The excess wind even caused considerable chaos to the Konoha ninjas on the ground.
Although these ninjas who released the "Big Breakthrough" were also blown away by the reaction force of the ninjutsu.
But these people immediately readjusted their balance in the air, dived down again, and merged into the large group.
Kaito couldn't help but nod secretly after seeing this.
"This is how the flying ninja unit should be used! Those sky ninja guys are simply heretics!"
"What a pity! This method is only suitable for large-scale flying units. If someone uses it alone, they will just be wasting chakra with the enemy."
"But as expected, they still have to use ninjutsu to attack to be considered a flying ninja!"
However, being slapped in the face often comes so quickly.
Wait until a large number of flying troops arrive directly above the Konoha ninja.
These people immediately and in unison took out a weapon from behind that Kaito was quite familiar with.
“Da da da da—”
The sound of kunai machine guns continued to ring out, immediately turning the Konoha ninjas on the ground who were unable to dodge into a hornet's nest.
Kaito was somewhat embarrassed and forced to explain himself.
"Uh! It must be to save chakra!"
“Well done!”
