Konoha, second training ground.
A large cloud of dust rose up on the training track, and a green figure could be seen speeding along.
"Guy, come on, faster and faster!"
Might Dai lay prone outside the fence of the training ground, stuck his tearful head through the fence, and shouted, "This is your youth! Is this the extent of your youth?!"
Until the dust on the runway cleared, a short figure in a green tights knelt on the ground with his hands on the ground, tears streaming down his young face.
Snap…Snap…
"Wow, I'm sorry, Dad. I'm almost four years old, and I still can't run around a hundred laps on the playground. I'm sorry to disappoint you again!" The boy's tears kept dripping to the ground.
Might Dai ignored the "No Crossing" warning sign and jumped over the fence into the training ground.
"No no! Guy, you did it!"
He hugged Guy, who was crying bitterly, and patted Guy's back while crying: "You ran 102 laps! You didn't give up, you broke your limit, Dad is proud of you!"
"Woo-woo-woo! Dad, I want to run 400 laps tomorrow!"
"Wow! Guy, my son! You will definitely become a man stronger than anyone else!!"
The father and son, wearing the same green tights, hugged each other and cried, making the scene look both funny and passionate.
"...You two only know taijutsu, and you want to be ninjas? You can't even get missions above D-rank."
In the shooting range of the training ground, Uchiha Shinji looked at the two people hugging and crying on the runway. He felt like his eyes were going blind and couldn't help shaking his head.
This father and son are quite famous in Konoha. Even the reclusive Shinji has heard of them. Unfortunately, they don't have a good reputation.
Eternal Genin, the son of Eternal Genin.
Because he only knew Taijutsu and not any ninjutsu or genjutsu, Might Dai, who was almost thirty years old, had failed the Chunin Exam countless times.
The main way for ninjas to make money and support their families is to take on missions posted in the village, but not everyone can do the missions if they want to.
Generally speaking, unless there are special circumstances, missions like S-rank and A-rank, which are related to national confidential matters and missions related to the country or village trends, require one to become a jonin in order to take them.
For B-rank and C-rank missions, which may involve combat missions between ninjas and mission executors may be injured, one must become a Chunin to accept them.
When a Genin is alone, he can only accept D-rank missions that are not life-threatening or don't involve direct combat, such as investigating the location of pets, helping to dig taro, weeding, babysitting, etc.
In peacetime, the villagers had a lot of spare money and there were a lot of D-rank missions, so Might Dai's life was relatively easy. But as the war situation became increasingly severe, the number of D-rank missions dropped sharply.
The number of C-rank missions such as personal escort is increasing, but as a Genin, Might Dai needs a team of three to accept it, and no one is willing to team up with a "waste" who only knows Taijutsu
Since he can't even perform the most basic Three Body Technique, Might Dai can really be considered a "waste" in the eyes of most people.
In addition, after Might Dai was born, he was also judged to have no talent for ninjutsu. With the amount of training that the father and son were practicing at the same time, the requirements for the quality and quantity of food were very high, and there was one more mouth to feed in the family.
If he hadn't married a medical ninja, Might Dai wouldn't even be able to raise his children now.
Even so, in order to reduce family expenses and train his son, he hasn't exercised as vigorously as before for a long time.
Family has made Might Dai, who had to fed his entire family, become cautious.
"Brother Dai!"
Just as Shinji was slightly distracted as he looked at the father and son, a slightly familiar voice brought him back to his senses.
After seeing the conspicuous golden hair in the distance, Shinji disappeared silently in the training ground.
But a white figure also left with him.
"Oh! Minato!"
Might Dai wiped away his tears with his big hands, and smiled instantly when he saw the man. He said with emotion: "It's rare to see you come so early. Are you also getting excited?"
Although he was already used to his way of speaking, Minato still subconsciously touched his nose and smiled: "It's just that I have something to ask you, but you are still working hard as always, Brother Dai."
He turned to look at Guy behind Might Dai, with a warm smile on his face: "I haven't seen you for a while, Guy, you have grown so tall."
"Of course!" Might Guy wiped his nose with his thumb, smiled with his hands on his hips and his teeth shining, "I will definitely become a man stronger than anyone else!"
"Then you have to work hard." Minato smiled and reached out to rub Guy's watermelon head. "Guy should be old enough to go to school, right? I know that your classmates are very strong."
Shiranui Genma of the Shiranui clan, Yuhi Kurenai of the Yuhi clan, Asuma Sarutobi the son of the Third Hokage, Hatake Kakashi the child of the White Fang of Konoha, and the Hyuga clan and the Uchiha clan...
While the war on the front line continues, Konoha is gradually recovering from the ruins it once was, and many new sprouts are thriving, which makes Minato, who has now graduated and become a Genin, very excited.
Thinking of this, he looked down at Might Guy. Thinking of the fact that Guy was judged to have a poor talent in ninjutsu, a flash of pity appeared in Minato's eyes.
Although Guy's talent in ninjutsu is better than his father Might Dai, and he is not as bad as Dai who cannot even learn the Three Body Technique, but it will be difficult for him to become a jonin through ninjutsu in his lifetime, and it will be difficult for him to catch up with his peers who are from the ninja clan.
However, this thought only flashed through Minato's mind, and he quickly suppressed the idea.
No one knows better than Minato the sweat and hard work that Might Dai put in to become stronger in the past, and no one knows better than him the hard work and everything that Might Dai is putting in to make Gai stronger now.
Minato has always respected Might Dai and admired his perseverance and optimism. Might Dai is a real man and does not need his pity or sympathy.
He also believes that Might Guy will one day become a big hit. With such a father, Might Guy will definitely go further in the field of Taijutsu.
"Minato, you just said you have something to ask me?"
While Minato was thinking, Might Dai asked curiously.
Hearing this, Minato came back to his senses, pursed his lips, and said hesitantly: "Actually, it's like this..."
——————
Meanwhile, in the Hokage's office.
Sarutobi Hiruzen stood in front of the window, looking at the village shrouded in the morning sunlight. Looking at the restored peaceful and tranquil scenery, a smile appeared on his old face.
But he quickly stopped smiling and looked down at the crystal ball in his hand. The ball reflected Minato and Might Dai in the training ground.
"Might Dai, Minato Namikaze..."
Thinking of Might Dai's file, Sarutobi Hiruzen frowned.
Minato Namikaze, this child has long been in his sight, but what he values is only the will of fire in Minato. Whether in terms of appearance or character, Minato is simply the perfect spokesperson for the will of fire.
Sarutobi Hiruzen originally wanted Minato to become Kushina's "bond", but the Nine-Tails Rebellion that happened later was somewhat unexpected for him. Uzumaki Mito made Tsunade the Nine-Tails Jinchuriki, which disrupted his plan.
Coupled with the ever-changing situation on the front line, he has not been paying attention to Minato Namikaze, and he doesn't even care much about Kushina.
But what Sarutobi Hiruzen didn't expect was that Jiraiya would notice Namikaze Minato.
What was even more unexpected was that Jiraiya would take the initiative to come to him and ask for someone, a "Eternal Genin" just because of a word from Minato Namikaze.
"The blue-eyed child of prophecy..."
Sarutobi Hiruzen's brows gradually furrowed, and the wrinkles on his face were also tightened. He murmured: "Jiraiya, what are you thinking about? Are you so naive that you even believe in such nonsense?"
"Or do you just value talent? Do you just see your former self in Minato?"
Thinking of this, he couldn't help but shake his head and laugh at himself.
Minato's theoretical scores were the best in the class, and his practical scores were also among the best. Jiraiya was once the last in the class, so how could he possibly see his former self?
That could only mean that Jiraiya truly believed, or at least had hope, that Minato might be the so-called child of prophecy.
As the Hokage, Sarutobi Hiruzen would not believe in any prophecy, let alone believe that there is anyone who can change the ninja world now.
Nowadays, most of the wars in the ninja world are caused by the fundamental system of one country, one village. This system is unbreakable and has become a dead end, yet it maintains a strange balance.
Even if the First Hokage was to be resurrected, he might not be able to change everything that he had "created".
Even if the first Hokage was resurrected and said that he wanted to reform the ninja world and break the one country, one village structure, the first person to jump out and oppose it would be him, the third Hokage.
"Forget it, let him be. Just don't let anything happen on the front line." Sarutobi Hiruzen sighed, feeling a headache again. "Each of them is a worry. Only Orochimaru can give me peace of mind..."
Boom! Boom! Boom!
Just then, there was a knock on the office door.
Sarutobi Hiruzen suppressed the fatigue on his face and put the crystal ball in his hand into the cabinet.
"Come in."
As the words fell, the office door was pushed open.
"Third Hokage-sama!"
Might Dai walked in timidly. It was obviously the first time he was summoned by the Hokage. When he saw Sarutobi Hiruzen, he suddenly bowed, then bent over and asked tentatively: "Minato said, you have a mission for me?"
When he said this, his eyes became a little fiery.
Sarutobi Hiruzen quickly helped him up, with a kind smile on his face, he said: "Yes, Jiraiya is carrying out a secret operation, and he is in need of a ninja who is proficient in taijutsu."
"Minato strongly recommended you to Jiraiya, but as a Genin, you are not actually needed to go to the battlefield right now, so I still want to ask for your opinion, do you want to..."
“I’ll go!”
Before Sarutobi Hiruzen could finish his words, Might Dai stood up suddenly and almost hit Sarutobi Hiruzen in the face.
He clenched his fists tightly, his eyes seemed to be burning with two flames, and he repeated without hesitation: "I'm going!"
"..." Seeing his passionate look, Sarutobi Hiruzen was silent for a moment, and asked again, "Don't you want to consider it? This mission is still very dangerous. No one will blame you even if you refuse."
Might Dai shook his head without hesitation, revealing his shining white teeth, and smiled with a thumbs up: "A true man's youth is not afraid of challenges! Even Guy will support me!"
With the reward for this mission, their family’s life would no longer be so difficult.
Seeing his unreliable look, Sarutobi Hiruzen sighed in his heart again.
Forget it, just go. Jiraiya has already set off for a long time anyway, and I don’t know if Might Dai can catch up with him.
If nothing unexpected happens, it won't be long before Tsunade and Jiraiya's relationship is over. Let Might Dai get the bounty of an S-rank mission, just as a favor to that brat Jiraiya.
With this in mind, Sarutobi Hiruzen handed a document to Might Dai and warned him, "Remember, this mission is confidential. You must not tell anyone!"
He didn't want people to know that he, the Third Hokage, had to give Genin a backdoor.
"I Understand, Third Hokage-sama!" Might Dai snatched the document, turned around and was about to leave the office.
"Wait a moment!"
Sarutobi Hiruzen quickly stopped him, thrust another document at him, and added, "It just so happens that a jonin squad is going to carry out a mission along the way. If you go with them, you can look after each other."
Might Dai subconsciously glanced at the documents in his arms.
Leading jonin: Hiru...
After only glancing at the words, Might Dai raised his head, turned around, pushed the door open with a bang, and shouted, "Oh my! My youth, here I come!"
Behind him, looking at the door creaking under the weight, Sarutobi Hiruzen's hand froze in mid-air, and a look of worry gradually crept onto his face.
Is this guy really okay? He won't die on the way, will he?
————————
Above the aerial fortress, the morning glow is reflected on the horizon.
The moment the sky ninjas walked towards the gangway, the rising sun shone on their faces. They subconsciously raised their hands slightly to block the sunlight and squinted their eyes to look down into the distance.
Tori stood beside the launch track, staring at the sky ninjas and said in a deep voice: "Are you all ready?"
"Of course!"
The sky ninjas grinned impatiently and put on the goggles in front of their foreheads.
The sky ninja plane parked on the deck was flashing a red beacon light, and the snow-white takeoff indicator light cut through the darkness on the runway like a sword. The control tower's radio transmitted a signal allowing takeoff in the heavy rain.
"When we reach that area, our war will begin."
Tori's eyes swept across their faces, the corners of his mouth curved, and he shouted: "Let's go wake up those guys who were once trampled in the mud by us and are now dreaming peacefully!"
"Pull them up by their hair, tear open their eyelids, and make them remember. Let them remember the taste of fear, let them remember the sound of our wings breaking through the air!"
After saying that, he slowly raised his hand, and under everyone's gaze, he suddenly dropped it.
Bang! Bang!
The black wings roared and flew across the deck, leaping out and speeding past. The "Falcon" that took off also heard the excited howling of a madman.
Looking up at the "falcons" flying away one after another, a hint of excitement flashed across the eyes of Tori.
Immediately, he turned to look at the red-haired girl who had come up behind him silently, grinned and said, "Now, it's time for us to set off."
Uzumaki Yiko wiped the anti-material sniper rifle that refracted black light in her hand and said softly: "It's time to fire the first shot of the Uzumaki clan's revenge."
