"I will stay."
Everyone looked at Kaito in astonishment after he said this.
Even Ai looked at the young boy again.
"You're good."
There were two compliments from the enemy, the first one was for Kaito's skills, and the second one was for his character.
"Are you interested in coming to Kumogakure Village?"
"Ai-san, please fulfill your promise first."
Kaito did not respond, but reminded the other party again.
Ai waved his hand very casually.
"I didn't mean to stop them."
The other four people looked at Kaito in silence after hearing this.
"You guys go ahead, don't stop, go back to the village directly, I'll stay here with Ao-sensei."
The four of them looked at each other and said nothing more. If they stay here at this time they would only become a burden.
Azusa went to pick up the water body of Hozuki Shingetsu, which had not yet fully recovered. Yuka Tamura cleaned up Ken's corpse with a sad look. Mei also looked at Ao and Kaito with a worried look.
Only Zabuza was still staring at Ai's figure, as if he wanted to engrave the other person's appearance into his mind.
What he got in return was Ai's somewhat mocking smile.
"Blue, you should go back with them too."
However, the little frog just stood there motionless, staring at Kaito stubbornly.
"Quack!"
Kaito leaned down, rubbed the little guy's head, and said with a smile in his ear.
"Trust me, go ahead. If you don't follow them, who will pass on the information to me?"
"Wait until they leave safely, and I will summon you back."
After hearing the following words, Blue reluctantly nodded in agreement and jumped to the side of Mei.
Wait until Azusa and Tamura come back again hugging their teammate and sensei.
The four of them took one last look at Kaito and Ao, then quickly ran towards the depths of the mountains.
Instead of returning from the coastline of the Land of Hot Water and having to worry about the subsequent encirclement and suppression by Kumogakure Village, the four of them seemed to be choosing to directly enter the territory of the Land of Fire and take a detour back to the Kirigakure Village.
"Can you give me the Sealing Scroll now?"
Ai said impatiently.
Ao ignored Ai's words and greeted Kaito.
"Kaito, come over here."
At this point, Kaito did not hesitate and flashed to Ao's side.
While Ao stared at Ai, he carefully handed the kunai and scroll to Kaito.
"Kaito, you react faster than I do. If anything happens, destroy the scroll immediately."
Kaito was slightly startled when he received the scroll, but he agreed calmly.
"Yes, Ao-sensei."
Then Ao formed hand seals and performed perception ninjutsu, probably wanting to find out whether the others had left safely.
However, Ao, who was about to perform the perception ninjutsu, froze in his expression and spoke slowly.
"Ai-san, you are not here to look for us, right? With your speed, you can catch up with them at any time. As long as my subordinates leave a safe enough distance, the scroll can be handed over to you."
Ai looked at the conversation between Ao and Kaito with an indifferent expression and nodded.
"It is indeed your bad luck, but I will just wait, my business is not that urgent."
After saying that, Ai casually took off his thunder armor and sat down cross-legged.
In fact, Ai came out to look for his younger brother Killer Bee.
Before, Killer Bee was kicked out of the town by Ai, and he waited and waited but this stupid brother didn't come back.
Ai immediately knew that this guy must have been unable to bear the loneliness again and had gone off to play somewhere, so he had to go out and look for him in that direction.
Who would have thought that when he heard a battle from afar and rushed over, he would run into the Hyuga main family bloodline that they, the Kumogakure, had been looking for for a long time being obtained by the Kirigakure team.
Seeing Ai sitting down so casually, Kaito also sat down naturally.
Although there is still a strong desire to survive at this moment, there is no fear or tension, but instead a sense of relaxation.
‘It seems that once you make up your mind, things aren't that scary anymore.’
In this way, only Ao, who maintained the Perception Ninjutsu, was still standing there.
If there weren't a large number of civilian corpses and traces of battle here, Kaito and Ai would look like tourists on a leisure outing.
‘In the original story, Ao clearly got one Byakugan, but now he has two, but he is stuck in this dead end.’
‘That guy is not one to keep his promises. If he gets the Byakugan, he will definitely kill me and Ao-sensei.’
‘But the attack speed of the Fourth Raikage is so fast, it shouldn't be painful if I die, right?’
‘Oh, by the way, I remember that Kumogakure also had a one-eyed military advisor. When I read the original story, I felt that he was very similar to Ao-sensei. Will the Byakugan fall on him in the end?’
Just when Kaito was letting himself go and starting to daydream.
Ai on the opposite side looked at the kid who seemed to be in a daze with some surprise, and almost couldn't help but sneak attack and snatch the scroll.
But after thinking about the fact that this guy had previously dodged his sneak attack, he decided to give up this risky plan.
Kaito's emotions at this time had already gone from the fear of death to the other extreme, and he didn't notice Ai's strange expression at all.
Thinking that he had to wait anyway, Kaito simply opened the system panel.
Relying on the fact that only he could see the system panel, Kaito planned to do the lottery in front of his enemies.
Looking at the pitiful 350 gold coins on it, Kaito himself did not know whether to laugh or cry.
‘Two draws? Even though a single draw can produce miracles, can two draws without even a small guarantee really save me and turn the tide?’
Although he thought so, Kaito did not give up. At least it was still an opportunity.
‘Let's Forget about the flying pool. Even if I draw 'Fly', I feel like the opponent will blow my head off the moment I leave the ground.’
"Even if I get 'Dragon Ascent' or 'Oblivion Wing', I may not be able to turn the tables with my chakra capacity."
‘Let's look at the general pool. I don't want to draw a gold prize to get a 'Hyper Beam' or 'crystal stars'. As long as I can draw a 'Breath’ or a 'Perish Song', it can help me kill the enemy. At the very least, if I draw a 'Play Nice', it might save my life.’
Kaito kept scanning the general prize pool for prizes that could potentially save lives, with mixed thoughts running through his mind.
This time I really regret not drawing from the 'General Pool' before.
Although the water and flying prizes can steadily improve one's strength, it seems that only these strange and bizarre things in the general pool can help the weak defeat the strong and make a comeback in times of crisis.
Ai, who was sitting opposite Kaito, looked at the kid's constantly changing expressions, sometimes expectant and sometimes annoyed, and was completely confused.
‘What is this kid doing? Is he looking down on me?’
However, considering that the little devil did not make any other moves, Ai suppressed his annoyance and continued to deal with it calmly.
Even Ao, who was performing perception ninjutsu, looked at the two people sitting on the ground with some strangeness.
Kaito ignored all this and focused his attention on the lottery button with great anticipation.
‘First Shot!’
