"Your Highness!"
Click! Click!
All the warriors stationed around rushed in.
Those nobles whose heads were opened were still alive.
The white heads were exposed to the air, and their eyeballs were shaking wildly.
“You, you guys…”
Isibi slumped limply in the chair, trembling all over and looking at the scene with horror, looking at the sudden and completely unexpected scene in front of him.
The originally wonderful dinner now turned bloody and terrifying.
What's going on? How could this happen?!
Squeak! !
Mifune raised his hand and swung out a very fast sword, instantly cutting off the wrist of the woman behind him, and at the same time repelling the old man behind Isibi.
"Your Highness."
Looking at the strange figures gradually gathering around him, Mifune clenched his samurai sword, stood in front of Isibi and said in a deep voice: "These guys are not like the ordinary civilians you mentioned."
The woman who was originally standing behind Mifune moved away and raised her hand whose wrist was cut off by Mifune.
As Mifune and the samurai looked on with either solemn or suspicious gazes, the hand actually grew flesh and blood at a speed visible to the naked eye.
"This samurai-san really doesn't know how to be gentle with women."
The woman said while laughing unscrupulously and sarcastically.
At this moment, a slightly mocking voice came from outside the door.
"I was wondering why the atmosphere in Daimyo Mansion seemed too quiet today. It turned out to be because there were fewer dogs barking."
As soon as he finished speaking, Yoshitaka stepped into the hall. The warriors blocking the way were kicked away, and the "Demons" made way for him. Seeing the nobles whose heads were knocked open, Yoshitaka's eyes flashed with a strange look.
It seems that Lord Kumokawa had already made preparations and had been waiting for this moment for who knows how long.
The top leaders of the Land of Rain are all here.
At dawn, the entire Land of Rain will be in Lord Kumokawa possession without even a single ripple.
BANG!!
The armless and legless warrior in Asa's hand was thrown directly onto the wooden table with a dull and depressing sound, as if hitting Mifune's heart, making his heart sink suddenly and his face look a little angry.
Yet another samurai from the Land of Iron had his hands and feet chopped off, such a humiliation!
“M-Mifune-sama!” The warrior’s face was distorted with pain, and he wailed while struggling, “They are the rebels from the northern part of the Land of Rain!!”
But Mifune just stared at Yoshitaka's somewhat familiar yet unfamiliar face, narrowed his eyes subconsciously, and said hesitantly: "You are...Yoshitaka?"
The Land of Iron is the place with the largest number of samurai and swordsmen. In order to hone his sword skills, Musashi went to the Land of Iron to seek advice many years ago.
At that time, Yoshitaka was Musashi's youngest disciple and the one he paid the least attention to. Mifune was just an unknown figure in the Land of Iron. The two had a brief exchange.
Although Yoshitaka was not very talented in kendo, Mifune was not an arrogant person, and because they had a similar passion for kendo, the two of them got along and communicated happily.
Mifune admired Yoshitaka's perseverance and loyalty, but he never expected that after not seeing him for many years, the next meeting would be like this...
"Long time no see, Mifune." Yoshitaka greeted him, but there was no smile in his eyes. "But you came at an unfortunate time."
Feeling the chill in the air, Mifune clenched his sword tightly and said in a deep voice, "Aren't you a disciple of Lord Musashi? Why did you go along with those rebels? Where is your loyalty as a samurai?!"
"Go along with the rebels? Loyalty? Hahahaha!" Yoshitaka laughed, as if mocking himself. He suddenly raised his finger and pointed at Isibi, grinning, "You should ask the prince behind you about this."
Being stared at by him with a cold gaze, Isibi's body trembled, but he quickly adjusted his demeanor and smiled: "You go back now, and I recognize your independent status, how about that?"
Before Yoshitaka could speak, a slightly childish voice suddenly came.
"Go back? Go back and wait to die?!"
"Hey! You..."
Ryuu, who was hiding outside the door, suddenly broke in. Asuto behind him also had a helpless look on his face. He spread his hands to the frowning Asa, indicating that he couldn't stop him either.
Mifune looked at the boy who looked to be in his early teens, frowned and said, "I can give you some money and food to take back."
"Money and food?" Ryuu's young face was filled with hatred that didn't match his age. He pointed at Isibi and sneered, "The civilians in the entire Land of Rain can't even get enough food. No matter how rich you are, can you be richer than this guy?"
"This so-called daimyo has not been able to feed everyone for many years. How many people can your money feed? Can it feed everyone?!"
Veins popped out of Isibi's forehead, and he said in a fierce voice, "I can't do this, but can that Muzan brat do this?"
"I have been away from City of Dawn for several years. I joined City of Dawn when it was first built. I don't know if there are still people starving to death, freezing to death, or dying of exhaustion."
The old man suddenly spoke, a trace of nostalgia flashing across his eyes: "But when there is not enough food, Lord Kumokawa will starve with everyone else, when there are not enough clothes to wear, Lord Kumokawa will suffer with everyone else, when there is too much work to do, Lord Kumokawa will be tired with everyone else."
"It's fake! That's his disguise!" Isibi said in a gloomy tone, hatefully, "He's just a liar who deceives people with lies. Only stupid lowlifes like you would choose to believe him!"
The old man didn't even look at him, and said calmly: "It doesn't matter if it's fake or disguised, at least the liar you mentioned is willing to pretend, isn't it? You noble lords are not even willing to pretend."
After that, he turned to look at Mifune, who had a gloomy expression, and said with a smile: "Sir, you said you are willing to give us money and food? I know you are a good person, thank you for your kindness."
"But I can only tell you that even if you give money and food, it will be taken away."
Mifune retracted his gloomy gaze towards Isibi, stared at Yoshitaka and Asa beside him, then looked at the expressionless Demons around him, and said in a deep voice: "I don't understand, don't you know the consequences of rebellion?"
"This is a serious crime that cannot be redeemed or pardoned, and it will even bring disaster to your family and neighbors!"
The old man hunched over and smiled slightly, "Of course I know."
Mifune turned to look at the old man and asked, "If you knew it, why did you make the mistake? Why did you become a traitor? Why did you betray the daimyo? Why..."
"Because we are hungry, because we hate, because..."
The old man paused slightly, his scarlet pupils contracted, and he looked at Isibi, his tone full of hatred: "We no longer have neighbors, our home has been destroyed! We no longer have family members, they have starved to death!"
"The only reason for our lives now is hatred!"
As a samurai who followed the pure samurai spirit, Mifune felt pity for the weak and said bluntly: "After the rebellion is quelled and the war is over, I will urge His Highness Isibi to give you justice."
"justice?!"
Mifune’s words seemed to have touched Ryuu’s sore spot. He became emotional and his tone became hysterical: "When my whole family died and I was the only one left, who gave me justice?"
"My parents would rather starve to death than leave me the last bit of food, but when someone took it away, where is the justice you talk about?"
"Now, you say you're going to give us justice? Hahaha!"
Ryuu couldn't help but burst into laughter, laughing so hard that he fell backwards and laughed wildly and wantonly. Perhaps he was laughing at himself, perhaps he was laughing at Mifune in front of him, or perhaps he was laughing at this "extremely fair" world.
He finally understood the purpose of lord Kumokawa asking him to come here, and finally understood the true faces of these so-called samurai, daimyo and nobles.
"Hahaha!"
The laughter gradually died down. He looked at Mifune and said fiercely, "This is not fair. This is just a remedy for the mistake I made! But it's too late!"
"You said treason is a serious crime, and that rebellion will be punished by death. It's as if you can survive without rebellion. You are liars! You are the real liars!"
The penniless, skinny and short boy was now pointing at the general of the Land of Iron, the high and mighty Daimyo of the Land of Rain, and loudly laughing at everything the two said: "But you can't fool anyone anymore!"
"You, you deserve to die!"
Finally, Isibi, who thought he was superior, was completely enraged by the repeated offenses of the untouchables in his eyes, and shouted: "Musashi didn't dare to speak to me like this when he was alive. Who do you think you are to dare to question me?!"
After that, he looked at Mifune who was protecting him, and said sternly: "Mifune! Kill them all! Kill all these untouchables! I support you unconditionally, and I support the Land of Iron unconditionally!"
Hearing this, Mifune suppressed his disordered breathing, retracted his disgusted glance towards Isibi, turned to look at the people in front of him, clenched the sword in his hand, and a hint of hesitation and doubt flashed across his eyes.
After a moment, he raised the sword in his hand, pointed it at Yoshitaka and the others, and said in a deep voice: "I don't want to kill you, but I also have my own position. As a general of the Land of Iron, I must abandon my own selfish desires and give priority to the interests of the country."
"So, for the last time, I advise you to leave. I can refrain from attacking you!"
Although Mifune disliked Isibi and was somewhat disgusted by what he said and did, he knew where he stood.
He now needs Isibi's promise. The Land of Iron now needs the support of the Land of Rain. If they want to make the Land of Iron a neutral country, Isibi's proposal is the fastest way.
"Ha, Mifune, you're very strong. I can feel it."
Hearing Mifune's words, Yoshitaka praised him from the bottom of his heart: "Even Musashi-sama is not as good as you are now. In the way of kendo, you may go further than anyone else, but..."
He drew the short sword from his waist and faced the dazzling sword light of Mifune. Without any fear in his eyes, he sneered: "Let's not talk about whether you underestimate me. Even if you can kill me, what does it matter?"
"You can kill me, you can kill the kid behind me, and you can kill everyone here who wants to rebel, but can you kill all those people outside who are hungry?"
Mifune was silent for a long time, and finally squeezed out a few words from his throat: "You are good at talking, I hope your swordsmanship can also be at this level!"
In response, Yoshitaka raised his short sword.
"Then, let's talk with the sword!"
As soon as the words fell, the two figures disappeared from the spot in an instant.
Bang! Bang!!
The speed of both of them was pushed to the limit, and the solid wood floor beneath their feet was cracked. They appeared on the wooden table almost at the same time.
Yoshitaka raised his short sword and stabbed at Mifune's throat, but Mifune was even faster than him.
He swung his long sword to deflect the short sword that was stabbing his throat, and then slashed it diagonally, trying to use Niposa to cut Yoshitaka in two.
But in the next moment, two streams of white mist flowed out from the corners of Yoshitaka's mouth, and the already extremely fast speed became terrifying.
clang!!
The sword blades crossed, the long forged steel edges cut out a dazzling sword light, sparks splashed down like rain on the table, and the sound of the friction between the blades was sharp and harsh.
The short sword was biting onto Mifune's famous sword tightly, and all Mifune saw was a pair of gray eyes and a hideous and ugly scar under the corner of the eye.
In those eyes, Mifune did not see any indignation, nor did he see any resentment or blame, not even any anger, only a passionate desire to fight.
Mifune's eyes narrowed slightly, and he said in a deep voice: "I thought you were swinging your sword with hatred now."
"I'm the same as you!" Yoshitaka grinned, "I also love the sword in my hand! I will also bet my life and my whole life on something inexplicable, stupid and stubborn!"
Clang! Clang!
As soon as the words fell, the blades met each other, the blades intersected, the harsh friction sound rang through the ears, and the falling sparks seemed to ignite the wooden table under the feet.
Every time they swung their swords and heard the crisp sound of breaking through the air, the two of them felt joy from the bottom of their hearts. Every time they chopped, seeing the two swords slashing so fast before their eyes, their souls were excited.
"I'm different from you too!"
The blades collided together again. Facing Mifune's gaze, Yoshitaka licked his lips and sneered, "I'm not a samurai. To win, I will do anything!"
As soon as he finished speaking, his chest heaved, and the potential energy in his body roared and surged within his flesh and blood!
"Rain Breathing: First Form: Flying Ink!"
The short sword in Yoshitaka's hand, which was used to fight with Mifune, slashed out, creating a string of bright and hot sparks between the two of them.
When the sparks bloomed, Mifune's pupils seemed to reflect raindrops as black as ink.
