‘So he noticed the scroll in Ao-sensei's hand and prioritized the jonin Ken?’
Although his mind was still filled with fear, anger and other emotions, Kaito still forced himself to calm down a little and think about the current situation.
'Perhaps it's because of his age that he didn't see us, who were obviously younger than him, as a threat.'
‘These are not important now. In the original work, does the Fourth Raikage have any weaknesses?’
Kaito's brain was working rapidly.
Trying to find a way to win, or even a way to escape.
However, the opponent is Ai who possesses the 'Lightning Chakra Mode'.
His speed in a small range is comparable to that of Namikaze Minato, who possesses the spatial displacement skill of the "Flying Thunder God Jutsu". His defense is enough to withstand the attacks of the tailed beasts. His strength is comparable to that of Tsunade, and his attack power can almost shatter Susanoo's defense.
This opponent, who can be called a killing machine, has already firmly reached the level of Kage even though he is not at his peak yet.
‘Perhaps illusions can ignore the defense of the lightning armor, but currently we only have Tamura who specializes in illusions. However, this kind of strength illusion is unlikely to affect Ai, and he may even be killed instantly after being exposed.’
‘Blue's Round should also be able to penetrate the defense, but the opponent's body is also strong.’
'Damn it! Damn it! Why do I have to face such an enemy!!!'
No matter how he thought about it, Kaito was ultimately overwhelmed by a strong feeling of powerlessness. It was precisely because he had read the original work that he felt more desperate than others.
Just as Kaito was thinking quickly.
Ai, who had not received a reply for a long time, became a little impatient and spoke angrily.
"If you don't want to, I'll get it myself."
The sound of the first half of the sentence is relatively normal, but the second half has a discontinuous and tearing feeling.
Ai's figure has started moving again, and violent lightning tore through the air and charged towards Ao.
Kaito, who was always staring at the opponent, could barely see Ai's movements with the dynamic vision brought by his "Keen Eye".
While running at high speed, Ai clenched his left hand into a fist and formed his right hand into a claw, obviously wanting to grab the scroll directly.
"stop!"
Following Ao's roar, Ai's figure suddenly froze. After plowing two deep marks on the ground, he stopped with a grim expression.
It’s not that Ai is so honest and obedient.
At this time, Ao did not defend or counterattack at all. Instead, he clenched the kunai in his hand and pressed it against the scroll that sealed Hyuga's body.
But before Ao could open his mouth to discuss the conditions with the other party.
Seeing Ai suddenly stop beside him, Hozuki Shingetsu finally couldn't suppress the anger in his heart and wanted to avenge his sensei.
"Go to hell!"
"Water Style: Great Water Arm!"
Hozuki Shingetsu jumped high, his right arm bulged unnaturally and became muscular, and then he punched Ai's head hard with hatred.
However, Ai took the punch without dodging.
The result was just a gust of wind caused by the shock wave from the collision between the fist and the head, and the cracked ground under Ai's feet, who stood still.
Ai turned his head and looked at Hozuki Shingetsu who had a look of disbelief on his face.
"Who do you think I am, little brat?"
Ai's words were accompanied by a simple swinging punch.
The lightning on Ai's arm prevented Hozuki Shingetsu from completely turning into water, and he was knocked away the moment he came into contact with the fist.
After knocking down a large number of trees, Hozuki Shingetsu exploded into a splash of water and fell to the ground, struggling to condense into a human form again.
Just when Ai wanted to rush forward to finish off the little devil from the Hozuki Clan.
Ao shouted again.
"I told you to stop!"
Although Ai suppressed the rage in his heart and stopped, the opponent's unrivaled momentum still intimidated everyone present.
With his eyes fixed on Ao's, Ai spoke slowly.
"Don't be so arrogant, Kirigakure guy."
It was not until this time that Ao regained some initiative, but the kunai in his hand still had no intention of leaving the scroll.
"I can give you the scroll, just let them leave first."
"Ao-sensei!"
"Mei! Shut up!"
Ao interrupted Mei's words with a shout, his eyes still fixed on Ai, waiting for the other party's answer.
Ai also ignored Hozuki Shingetsu's sad scene and looked coldly at Ao who had a determined look on his face.
"Why do you think you are qualified to negotiate with me?"
"That depends on whether you care more about the Byakugan's bloodline limit or our lives."
Ai was silent for a moment, then spoke slowly.
"Okay, you little devils can go away now."
Ao let out a long sigh, still not daring to move at all, and just gave orders quickly.
"Kaito, take them away first, leave this to me."
"Yes, Ao-sensei, please be careful."
Unexpectedly, just as Kaito finished speaking, Ai instantly appeared beside him and reached out to grab Kaito's neck.
This time, Ai was always within the perception range of "Anticipation", and Kaito also kept his dynamic vision on to stare at the other party.
He actually leaned forward to dodge the opponent's grab at the first moment and rolled forward to avoid it.
Just when Ai was about to grab Kaito again, a stream of water finally arrived, wrapped around Kaito's waist and pulled him away from where he was.
Seeing that Kaito was saved by Mei's water whip, Ai did not step forward to catch him again, as if nothing had happened.
However, everyone's emotions became tense again.
"What are you going to do?!" Ao glared at Ai and yelled.
Ai first turned his gaze to Kaito who had just dodged his attack.
"Not bad, kid. Your name is Kaito, right?"
Then his gaze turned back to Ao.
"He stays too, the others can go."
Ao just kept silent and didn't say anything. He knew that his little thoughts had been seen through by the other party.
Ao originally planned to destroy the scroll containing the Hyuga Byakugan once his students had safely left.
This kind of scroll has to be kept confidential. Once the scroll is destroyed, the things inside it will naturally be destroyed as well.
Even if he dies here, he won't let the Kumogakure Village obtain the Byakugan.
However, if Kaito stayed, could he really have the heart to let his student sacrifice with him?
Just then, a voice came into Ao's ears.
"Okay, I'll stay and accompany Ao-sensei. Let the others go first. Do you have any additional conditions this time?"
Kaito looked at Ai with cold eyes and spoke in a calm tone.
When Ao asked him to leave, Kaito, who should have been thankful that he was able to survive, did not feel the slightest bit of joy in his heart.
On the contrary, it was when Ai asked him to stay and accompany Ao that he felt relieved.
It was not until then that Kaito realized that he was not that afraid of death.
Although I would not be willing to sacrifice myself for the Village like Ao-sensei, But if I were to fight to the death for my sensei, teammates, and people close to me, it seemed that there was nothing to be afraid of.
‘Actually, I should have been dead before I transmigrated here, right? I've lived for so long after being transmigrated in this interesting world. I think it's a good deal.’
