The long sword pierced through Kaito's figure, and the sneak attacking Kumogakure jōnin paused subconsciously.
"wrong!"
There is no sense of lag which happens when penetrating into a real object, and only when you look closely at the back of this figure, you will notice a hint of disharmony.
The next moment, the figure of Kaito and some of the surrounding background exploded at the same time, turning into large feathers that blocked the sight of this jōnin.
[Water Style: Scald]
In fact, just a moment ago, Kaito, who had sensed the 'Anticipation' prompt, had already put his hands together and performed the 'feather dance' to escape first.
He then lowered his body, leaned forward to avoid the opponent's sneak attack, and quickly formed seals with his hands to perform ninjutsu.
He opened his mouth and spit out a stream of hot water, which passed through the feathers still floating in the air and splashed onto the enemy who failed in the sneak attack.
"S~Die little devil!"
The sudden burns, even the mentally tough ninja still couldn't suppress the pain, he hissed, but still held the long sword tightly and chopped forward.
"Boom~"
Just when this Kumogakure Jōnin was stunned, a blue figure suddenly appeared above his head from a distance, and kicked him down with great force, smashing him directly into the ground. The powerful force caused the ground to crack and rocks to splash.
Kaito, who was preparing to launch a sneak attack after Water Style: Scald, looked at the huge pit in front of him and the messy enemies in the pit, and the corners of his mouth twitched uncontrollably.
"As expected, I can't fight in close combat! If I had rushed in close, I would have been sent away along with the enemy!"
Ken scratched his head in embarrassment.
"I'm sorry, Doctor Kaito. I was delayed by the opponent's lightning clone just now. Fortunately, you are okay."
Although Ken didn't keep an eye on the jōnin who was fighting with him, if someone else was attacked by surprise, their life would be in danger.
However, Kaito saw that the other person was covered in dirt and dust, and estimated that it would not be easy to deal with this person. The situation was urgent, so he didn't say much.
Ninjas on the Kumogakure side died one after another, and even the number of senior ninjas was reduced by one. The balance of the battle immediately tilted.
In the blink of an eye, several more Kumogakure ninjas fell.
The other party seemed to realize that something was wrong, and several of them immediately took out flares from their pockets and threw them into the air.
“Stop them!”
Ao immediately yelled when he saw this.
At the same time, he spit out a huge water bomb from his mouth, knocking away a flare that had not yet had time to launch into the air, along with the Kumogakure Jōnin who threw the flare.
Ken immediately kicked the ground with both feet and jumped into the air. With a lightning kick, he knocked down a flare in mid-air.
Kaito, who had been on guard at the side, also quickly activated his dynamic vision and used the high-speed stab of the Shinso to destroy one.
However, even so, two flares still exploded in the air.
The Kumogakure ninja who fell to the ground wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth and stared at Ao with a ferocious look.
"You're ninjas from Kirigakure, right? You can't get away!"
Ao looked at Kumogakure Village Jōnin who was struggling to stand up in front of him with a gloomy face. He ignored the other party's threats and gave orders.
"Deal with them and evacuate quickly!"
The Kirigakure ninjas, who already had the upper hand, did not let the other Kumogakure ninjas escape after they worked together to kill the last jōnin.
Before leaving, Mei performed a huge-scale 'Earth Style: Tearing Earth Turning Palm Jutsu' to simply cover up the traces of the battlefield, and everyone quickly evacuated the place.
However, this cover-up can only delay time.
Ao used perception ninjutsu to lead the way in front, while Ken was responsible for holding the line at the back.
After all, the number of enemies in this battle is almost twice that of their own side.
Among the eight people from Kirigakure, everyone was injured except Kaito and Hozuki Shingetsu who mastered the Hydrification Jutsu.
Azusa, who was the most seriously injured, even had a half-broken kunai stuck in his left abdomen. He could only hold on and not fall behind.
However, other Kumogakure ninjas might surround them at any time, so now is not the time to stop and perform medical ninjutsu.
Kaito could only quickly take out the medicine he had prepared from his backpack and throw it to everyone, then immediately cast an Aqua Ring to flow through the injured people.
Of course, this was just a simple way to stop the bleeding and seal the wound. While running at such a high speed, only a medical ninja of Tsunade's level would dare to treat other people's injuries.
After all, treatment is a delicate job. If you are unable to concentrate and accidentally connect the wrong nerves or blood vessels, you are not saving lives but killing them.
"Captain! Azusa can't hold on any longer!"
Yuka Tamura, who had been silent all this time, also became anxious at this time.
Fortunately, Ao was not as indifferent as most of the Kirigakure ninjas. After looking back, he gave the order decisively.
"There are no enemies catching up within the perception range. Clean up the traces and spread out to find places to hide. Let Kaito heal first!"
Ten minutes later, in a cave.
A giant bear died in its own lair with its eyes open.
Kaito let out a long sigh and removed his hand from Azusa's body after using Mystical Palm Jutsu.
Fortunately, Azusa's wound only slightly scratched his internal organs, otherwise, under such tight medical conditions, Kaito would not dare to guarantee that the other party could survive.
After seeing that their teammates were no longer in danger of life, Team Ken thanked Kaito sincerely.
"Uh, this is what I should do. I'm a medical ninja after all."
Afterwards, he treated several other injured people one by one, and everyone finally recovered from the tense atmosphere.
"Ao-sensei, what should we do next?"
Mei, who was less seriously injured, simply applied some medicine and did not use Kaito's treatment. She asked Ao about the next course of action.
Ao said after a moment's silence.
"We can't rush directly to Sigu Town, otherwise our tracks will be discovered by Kumogakure's people and our targets will be too obvious."
"Kaito, let Blue deliver the information to Fujie first and remind him of what happened just now. Be careful not to expose the intelligence station."
"Okay, Ao-sensei."
Kaito, who was packing up medical equipment, immediately nodded in agreement.
After thinking about it, Ao took out the map and said.
"We must investigate Sigu Town. After all, this is the only clue at the moment, but we need to re-plan the route."
He pointed at a mountain range on the map.
"Sigu Town is located close to the Land of Fire border mountains. We will go directly to the Land of Fire border from here and go to Sigu Town along the mountains."
"And Kumogakure's AB combination appeared in this small town near the border. Maybe their target is in the mountains.”
The eight-man team set out again after a short rest.
This time, everyone did not dress up as samurai, but changed back into ninja gear. Ao used perception ninjutsu throughout the whole process to avoid all ninjas.
Just as the Kirigakure members were entering into covert action.
On the other side, in an ordinary small town house.
"Ai-sama, I have received news that all 15 members of Raizai's team were killed near Valley Town."
"That idiot Raizai~ Why are you coughing so much?"
Killer bee, who was about to speak, was stopped by a look from his eldest brother.
Ai turned his gaze back to the Kumogakure ninja who was responsible for delivering the message and asked with some annoyance.
"Is it done by those lunatics who believe in Jashin again?”
