"Hey~ Isn't this Mōichido-sensei? Are you here to ask about the publication progress of your new book?"
"Don't worry, we have already made arrangements. Your masterpiece will be printed and published soon! I believe this book will be a big hit in the entire ninja world!"
When the president of the publishing house named Mashiro saw Kaito entering the room, he immediately greeted him enthusiastically, even a little flatteringly.
As for the 'Mōichido-sensei' he mentioned, it is naturally the pen name of Kaito.
Although Kaito really wants to make money, he'd better forget about becoming famous.
"I am not someone who values fame. I'd rather leave the title of best-selling author to Jiraiya.”
Even before Kaito came to the publishing house, he first used the Transformation Jutsu to become a young man without eyebrows before publishing the book.
He just doesn't want to be burdened by fame in the future.
"President Mashiro, you said before that the publication would be arranged within three days, and I was thinking that the time has come. When I can get the finished book and keep a copy for myself as a souvenir."
"Mōichido-sensei, what are you talking about? After the book is printed, you can ask for as many copies as you want. It would be nice to give them to friends as gifts."
"Uh, there's no need to send it to a friend."
Even the shameless Kaito showed a hint of embarrassment. He didn't have many friends to begin with, and he didn't want to reduce the number further.
Just when the two were communicating harmoniously, a very discordant voice interrupted.
"Our publishing house will not publish your book!"
Editor-in-chief Takagi walked out of the office with a righteous look on his face and threw a pile of manuscripts in front of Kaito.
But before Kaito could do anything, Mashiro jumped up from his chair.
"Takagi! What are you doing? You have no right to speak here!"
"President Mashiro? This gentleman? It seems that he doesn't approve of my book?"
Kaito is not a person without temper, so naturally he has to put on some tone at this time.
President Mashiro quickly waved his hands and then bowed to apologize.
"Mōichido-sensei, you misunderstood. He is just our temporary editor! He has no right to make irresponsible remarks."
After hearing this, Kaito looked at President Mashiro with a smile.
"Really? Looking at his aura, I thought he was the editor-in-chief of your company. If that's the case, then I have no choice but to change to another publishing house."
"After all, I have other works to publish later. If your editor-in-chief doesn't agree with my work, it will definitely affect the importance your company attaches to my work."
When President Mashiro heard this, he was not worried but happy. His eyes seemed to be shining and he quickly stepped forward to hold Kaito's hand.
However, Kaito dodged it without leaving a trace.
President Mashiro didn't care either, his face looked like a blooming chrysanthemum as he smiled.
"We attach great importance to Mōichido-san's book. It is the most important project for our publishing house right now."
Then he turned back to look at the editor-in-chief named Takagi and spoke with a serious face.
"Takagi-san, you are fired now! As for the funds, I will pay you later!"
Former editor-in-chief Takagi had an angry look on his face and pointed a trembling finger at Mashiro.
In the end, he turned around and left the publishing house without saying a word.
President Mashiro continued to chat enthusiastically with Kaito with an indifferent look on his face.
In fact, Kaito was not too surprised by such a development.
Before choosing this publishing house, Kaito conducted a detailed investigation on the background of the publishing house.
This President Mashiro who seemed a little fawning in front of him was actually a collateral disciple of the Daimyo of the Land of Water. Compared to people in the ninja world, he was of noble birth.
It’s just that the other party doesn’t like his current life and wants to make his own way, so he came to the Kirigakure Village to seek development.
However, the previous two businesses failed, so he bought the Dream Eater Publishing House some time ago and started over again.
As for Editor-in-Chief Takagi, he is the former president of this publishing house.
After the publishing house was bought, Mashiro was a little worried about his lack of experience, so he give him the position of editor-in-chief.
Even Kaito knew that his second business had been secretly using the family's power, but it still ended in failure.
However, Kaito did not mind the other party's experience of failure. Instead, he valued the fact that the other party was willing to use the family's power to help his business.
In this way, Kaito's books can be better promoted in the Land of Water and even the entire ninja world.
However, after the previous investigation, Kaito did not expect that Editor-in-Chief Takagi would be so disgusted with his book and even refused to publish it.
'I wrote about the spirit of struggle and the promotion of positive energy! But you rejected my story. What an ignorant fellow!'
Kaito silently complained a few words in his heart, wondering if the other party was too miserable.
From what Mashiro said just now, it seems that Editor-in-Chief Takagi still has shares in the publishing house, and President Mashiro is ready to buy them out directly with money.
The other party might be richer than himself, so Kaito is not in the mood to feel sorry for him.
Finally, he has solved the little setback in his money-making plan.
Kaito refused President Mashiro's request to stay for dinner, using the excuse that he had to go back to finish his story, and left the publishing house happily.
"Can I just sit and collect money from now on?"
After turning an intersection, Kaito, who had released his Transformation Jutsu, was still fantasizing happily.
Blue also jumped from the roof of the publishing house to Kaito's feet and followed his pace.
"Kaito? Why are you here today?"
A gentle female voice with some surprise came from behind Kaito.
Kaito, who was still obsessed with the fantasy of money and had golden lights in his eyes, was so frightened that he shuddered.
"Uh, haha, Aunt Keiko, why are you here too?"
Kaito turned around slowly and stiffly, as if the ability of "Technician" had left him.
At the gate of the publishing house, a gentle figure with blue hair was standing there with a smile on her face.
As if not noticing the strange look on Kaito's face, Nakamura Keiko slowly walked over and spoke.
"I have a book on pharmacology here, which was published by this publishing house. So I came here to have a look today."
Nakamura Keiko pointed at the Dream Food Publishing House, then tilted her head and looked at Kaito in a strange manner.
"Is Kaito on a mission?"
"Oh, yes, yes! I was on a mission, right here, and I just finished it."
When Blue saw that his master was talking nonsense again, he jumped to Nakamura Keiko's feet in disgust and pulled her trouser leg.
Nakamura Keiko understood, bent down and picked up Blue.
"Blue was also very well behaved today."
“呱~e=(o｀*)”
Kaito glared at the dishonest little guy and put on his signature smile again.
"Aunt Keiko, I just finished my mission. If you're not busy, can we have dinner together?"
"Okay, I just happened to have a new idea for a Special Military Ration Pill, Kaito, see if you can use it."
