"Do any of you three want to transplant that Byakugan?"
As soon as Ao said this, the three little ones looked at their sensei in surprise.
Although the Third Mizukage had said before that one Byakugan could be left for Team Ao to deal with, everyone actually assumed that Ao would be the one to use the Byakugan.
After all, as a Jōnin and a perception type ninja, the Byakugan is perfect for Ao.
Ao seemed to notice the students' surprise, shrugged, and spoke casually.
"I'm a jonin now, so I don't really need this Byakugan. Besides, I couldn't have completed this mission by myself."
Upon hearing this, Kiato and the other two looked at each other.
Zabuza spoke first.
"I don't need it. I didn't contribute much in this mission."
In fact, among the three, the one who is most suitable for the Byakugan should be Zabuza. He has a talent for perception, is good at close combat and the Mist Hidden Jutsu, which makes him a perfect fit.
But since Zabuza said so, others will not force it.
Mei didn't hesitate either.
"Me too. This mission was mainly completed by you two, Ao-sensei and Kaito. Otherwise, it's hard to say whether we can come back alive."
Both teammates refused, and now everyone's attention was on Kaito.
But in fact, Kaito doesn't want any contempt.
My eyes are fine, and now I have the 'youthful version of Byakugans' effect brought by 'Keen Eye’. There is no need to change to an unsuitable pair of eyes.
Besides, he had system plug-ins to rely on, so he didn't think much of this ordinary Byakugan.
‘If it's the Rinnegan, I might consider it.’
Kaito simply refused directly.
"Ao-sensei, my fighting style is not suitable for Byakugan. You should accept this opportunity with a smile."
"Actually, Kaito, the Byakugan's ability to see through meridians is very useful for medical ninjutsu."
Ao wanted to say something else, but Kaito ignored him and ran towards the Mizukage Building.
"Ao-sensei, I almost forgot that I haven't gone to receive the ninjutsu that the Mizukage-sama promised me. You guys should go back first."
Ao murmured, not knowing whether to laugh or cry as he looked at Kaito's departing back.
"This guy, it seems like he's being wronged by having a Byakugan transplant."
However, Ao only said this, and he was still very grateful to his students for thinking about him.
Then he looked at the remaining Mei and Zabuza.
"Then let's disband. Go back and have some rest today. I will take care of your subsequent arrangements."
The three of them dispersed and went home.
Oh, no, Ao, the poor vice captain of the perception unit, has to go to work in the perception unit in time after returning from an outdoor mission.
The other two people dispersed and went home to rest, but Kaito, who ran into the Mizukage Building, was a little troubled.
The Third Mizukage promised to let him choose a ninjutsu, and the notice was given very quickly.
As soon as Kaito arrived at the Merit Office, he was taken to the Ninjutsu storage room in the basement of the Mizukage Building.
However, just as Kaito guessed, based on his outstanding performance this time, he was not given any S-rank ninjutsu or forbidden techniques at all.
Seeing that the highest rank in the list was only A-rank ninjutsu, Kaito was a little disappointed.
I originally thought that if I had good things like the Water Mirror Jutsu or the Steaming Danger Tyranny Jutsu, I would not have to use the system lottery skills.
But now these ordinary ninjutsu are of little importance.
After a quick look around, I found that most of the advanced ninjutsu in the Kirigakure Village are water-based ninjutsu.
"Then let's choose the Water Style: Great Waterfall Jutsu."
Kaito returned the catalog to the ninja on duty to make the final decision.
Since this jutsu appeared relatively early, its performance does not seem to match the learning difficulty of A-rank.
But in fact, it is a very versatile ninjutsu. Whether it is used to create water, or its lethality and attack range are remarkable.
The only criticism is that there are no special effects.
However, if Kaito had this ninjutsu when fighting Ai before, he might have been able to push him away directly with the powerful impact of the Great Waterfall Jutsu.
"Sigh, I don't have the Water Mirror Technique. Otherwise, I'll definitely let that bastard Ai have a taste of his own spear against his own shield!"
After getting the new ninjutsu, Kaito did not rush home to study, but went to some pharmacies and went to the Kirigakure Hospital with a large amount of materials.
The specially made Military Ration Pills played a big role in helping me survive this time.
However, Kaito now has more and more skills that require a large amount of chakra consumption, and the early replica of the 'PP Up 1.0 version' is no longer enough.
Now, every time I'm short of chakra, I can only stuff handfuls of it into my mouth.
Moreover, the response volume is too low, and it is not convenient to carry it if I rely on quantity to make up for it.
This time, Kaito plans to ask Nakamura Keiko for advice to continue upgrading the version of PP up Military Ration Pills.
"Aunt Keiko, I'm here to see you again."
When I arrived at the hospital office, I found that Keiko was not busy working, which was a rare occurrence.
Kaito immediately took advantage of his status as a child to act cute.
This made Blue move away in disgust and he jumped directly behind Keiko.
"Quack~(~￣￣)~"
Keiko rubbed Blue's little head casually and looked at Kaito with a smile.
"Did Kaito just come back from a mission? You're looking more and more like a mature ninja now."
"Aunt Keiko, I need your help with something."
Although he was used to acting like a child, he still felt a little ashamed, so Kaito quickly brought the topic back on track.
"I had previously made my own special Military Ration Pills, but the funds were not sufficient, and the development was stuck in a bottleneck."
"I've received a lot of mission rewards recently, and I want to continue developing it, so I want to ask Aunt Keiko to help me check it."
Keiko had always known about Kaito's work on improving medicines, and would occasionally give him some advice.
However, before, Kaito was indeed short of funds and had always been doing small-scale operations.
As long as a finished product with good cost performance is produced, the research will be stopped, and the subsequent preparation will be simply for daily consumption.
This time the matter was mentioned so formally, obviously indicating that one is ready to devote all efforts to the research.
"Of course, no problem. But after all, this is the formula you developed step by step. I can only give you some suggestions. It still depends on you."
"But research and development takes a lot of money, Kaito, you have to be mentally prepared."
"Don't worry, Aunt Keiko, I know that."
Kaito had naturally considered these things, which were different from his previous "replicas".
Although it is just an improvement now, there is indeed no clear finished product to refer to.
The reward from this S-rank mission is fine as initial investment, but a lot of financial support will still be needed later.
The money-making channel that Kaito is targeting may be worth a try.
