In the next few days, Kaito visited some acquaintances in the village one after another.
He also sent some of the newly acquired materials to Shimotsuki Ichiro, as a way of thanking the old man for giving him so many ninja tools before he went to the battlefield.
"Kaito boy, you need to work harder. The old man is still waiting for you to make a name for me." Shimotsuki Ichiro encouraged with a smile before leaving.
"Hehe, old man, I used Shinsō to kill an Uchiha jōnin this time. Just wait and see, the reputation of Shinsō will not be less than that of the seven ninja swords."
"Okay, I know you're capable. If you have any materials in the future, I'll buy it from you at the market price. Maybe I can even help you strengthen this ninja sword someday."
Speaking of strengthening ninja swords, Kaito suddenly remembered the "Flying Gem" he had just drawn, but Shimotsuki Ichiro had no idea what to do after looking at it.
"Leave it here with me for now, but don't get your hopes up. I only have one piece of this special material, and I wouldn't dare use it to strengthen a finished ninja sword without testing it."
Kaito smiled and made an 'OK' gesture, then left the ninja tool shop while Shimotsuki Ichiro looked confused.
"What a pity. Kisame must have gone to the Anbu. The Hoshigaki clan won't say where to find him."
Kaito had been thinking about sharing his recent experiences in ninjutsu with the other party, but he had to give up.
After a few days of rest, the Kaito team began to accept missions as normal.
The village seems to be very short of manpower recently, and many tasks have been issued for some time but are still unaccepted.
However, the Kaito team still followed their own pace, and after completing each task they would take a break for a while to practice daily.
Life is pretty comfortable.
By the way, the purpose of drawing the Flying Prize Pool last time was to master flying skills.
And from Kaito's current feeling, even if there is a real limited-time event prize pool, it may not be comparable to the improvement that air supremacy can bring to him.
So this time Kaito didn't plan to accumulate gold coins anymore. Instead, he planned to draw from the Flying Prize Pool once he accumulated 1,600 gold coins. The sooner he could get the flying skills, the sooner he could become familiar with aerial combat.
Unfortunately, the ten consecutive draws two days ago still did not produce any relevant skills.
On the contrary, it was the first time that a duplicate skill was drawn.
That’s right, Kaito once again drew the skill ‘Feather Dance’ from the Flying Prize Pool this time.
Although it was still not the prize he wanted most, the feather dance of "One Life" did not disappoint Kaito.
After the infusion of knowledge, this simple visual obstruction skill was further strengthened.
From initially creating a large amount of white feathers covering the entire body to block the enemy's sight, it has changed to creating color-mimicking feathers that stay in the air.
Kaito conducted a test himself in the training ground. When he performed hand seals in an open space, he was able to leave behind an avatar of himself made up of feathers of various colors, which was almost indistinguishable from the real thing.
If it is performed in a dense forest, he can also directly create a set of "Ghillie suit" for himself, so that he can blend into the environment perfectly like a chameleon.
And because this skill is released quickly, the chakra consumption is extremely small.
Generally speaking, it is impossible to detect it unless there is a perception ninja.
With the blessing of this "one life", "Feather Dance" has leapt from a decent auxiliary skill to a very cost-effective and practical skill.
Even some ordinary ninjas can build their own combat system based on this skill.
This also made Kaito start to look forward to what magical effects would occur if other skills were drawn repeatedly.
"Well, it's decided! After I draw a flying skill, I'll go back and draw from the water attribute pool."
Once again marveling at the power of the 'one life' bonus, Kaito secretly encouraged himself.
"Nanase-sister~ I brought some fruit back for you."
Kaito smiled and handed a big bag of fruit to the neighbor's nurse.
"Thank you very much, Kaito, you're still so kind-hearted even though you've become a Chūnin." Miss Nanase took the package a little embarrassedly.
"Hehe, it's just a small thing. Thank you, Nanase-san, for your care." Kaito showed a sunny smile.
There is no other way. If he wants to participate in the lottery, he has to accumulate gold coins.
Daily tasks are still the main source of gold coins for Kaito, and he is reluctant to be lazy.
One of the tasks today happened to be to [run errands for the nurse next door]. Kaito had to spend a lot of time persuading his neighbor, who was afraid of bothering him, to agree to let him help run errands.
Just when Kaito finished his mission for today and was preparing to go home to refine his chakra and rest early.
An Anbu ninja instantly appeared beside him.
Miss Nanase, who was laughing just now, gave her an apologetic look and immediately went back home and closed the door.
The Anbu ninja didn't care about an ordinary person and spoke to Kaito.
"Chūnin Kaito, Elder Genji wants to see you."
Kaito was stunned for a moment. Although he knew that the elder Genji had great power in Kirigakure, he did not expect that he could order the Anbu to convey information.
But he was only stunned for a moment and then immediately replied.
"Okay, thank you for telling me. I'll be right there."
Seeing the other party leave in an instant again, Kaito thought about it and decided not to go home again, so he prepared to go directly to the Mizukage Building.
"Blue, you should go home first. You may have to take care of dinner by yourself. I'll go see what's going on."
After saying that, Kaito also quickly jumped onto the roof and rushed towards the Mizukage Building.
"呱~O。O"
Not long after returning from the front line, Kaito's team met with the Elder Genji accompanied by Ao.
In general, he is an old man who is approachable at first sight. He does not mind Zabuza's identity, nor does he have any dissatisfaction with Kaito's attempt to use him to reject Yagura.
Instead, he kindly encouraged the three of them, and then agreed to let the three little ones become his bodyguards in name only.
Perhaps because there were quite a few neutral ninjas who did this, Kaito never had any contact with Elder Genji again.
Not to mention issuing missions or escort patrols, it's as if such a position has never existed.
However, since the Anbu was sent specifically to inform me today, it should not be an ordinary matter.
Kaito thought as he jumped over the last few roofs and arrived in front of the Mizukage Building.
He quickly walked up to the office of Elder Genji.
Kaito discovered that not only Ao-sensei and the two members of his own team, but even the Ken team, which he was quite familiar with before, were already waiting here.
"I'm sorry, Elder Genji, I'm late."
Seeing that there were already so many people here, Kaito hurriedly apologized without caring whether he was really late or not.
"It doesn't matter, because I only bothered the Third Mizukage to ask an Anbu to be responsible for the notification, and you should be the last one to be notified."
"Come and sit down, Kaito Boy."
Elder Genji smiled and pointed to a seat beside him, motiōning Kaito to sit down and talk.
