At this moment, Ao really wanted to pry open Kaito's head to see what it looked like.
Having been a ninja for such a short time, he developed most of his ninjutsu independently.
Ao has also seen some so-called genius ninjas, but those geniuses either have strong physiques, huge amounts of chakra, or are fast in practicing ninjutsu and taijutsu.
But for someone like Kaito, who was able to independently develop several ninjutsu at such a young age, and which included almost unrelated categories such as water ninjutsu, wind ninjutsu, and medical ninjutsu, Ao couldn't help but be surprised.
Of course, if Kaito knew what Ao was thinking, he would probably tell him out of shame.
After Ao opened his head, the most that would probably fall out would be a cheat.
"Kaito, with the ninjutsu and Kenjutsu you have mastered now, as long as your basic attributes are improved, you can steadily reach the level of a jōnin.”
In fact, Ao is still a bit conservative. Ordinary jōnin would not master so many ninjutsu while also being proficient in Kenjutsu and medical ninjutsu.
"Ao-sensei, Kaito has also mastered the property changes of fire." Mei said a little depressedly on the side.
Seeing her teammates becoming stronger and stronger, she is both happy and envious, and has recently become more and more devoted to the research of bloodline limits.
Ao was only slightly stunned when he heard the news, but after all, he had experienced so many shocks, so one more change in the fire attribute was nothing.
Kaito had no choice but to demonstrate the ninjutsu "Water Style: Scald" again.
After reading it, Ao subconsciously stole a glance at Mei beside him and could only sigh. There are differences between geniuses.
Afterwards, Ao also examined the training of Mei and Zabuza. Although their strength was considered very good among the Chūnins, with the example of Kaito, Ao was not too surprised.
Ao gave the three of them some simple pointers, but the three little ones already had a clear path for their future, so Ao could not provide much help.
Before leaving, Kaito called Ao alone and told him about Yagura's recruitment of him.
"In fact, I don't think much of the so-called Seven Ninja Swordsmen. It's just that if I refuse this kind of recruitment too bluntly, I might offend the other party for no reason."
Kaito also expressed his views.
Ao thought about it and felt that this matter was rather tricky.
"Based on my understanding of Jōnin Yagura, it shouldn't be necessary to offend him. But your consideration is also reasonable. With Jōnin Yagura's strength and his prestige as a frontline commander, he is likely to inherit the position of Mizukage in the future. There is no need to leave a bad impression on him because of this kind of thing."
"In fact, during this period of time when I returned to the village to report on my work, I often talked about you with Elder Genji. The elder also likes talented children like you."
Kaito thought Ao's first words were normal, but why did the last two sentences seem a little wrong?
Then I thought about my identity as an orphan.
'You don't want him to be my godfather, do you?'
Kaito quickly interrupted and gave guidance.
"Ao-sensei, do you want to ask Elder Genji to help say hello to the Jōnin Yagura?"
Ao was slightly stunned for a moment, but nodded.
"That's about it, but actually I want your team of three to become the guards of the Genji Elder."
Ao explained, as if he was afraid that Kaito would misunderstand him.
"This guard position does not have any actual tasks. I was also the guard of elder Genji before I entered the Perception Unit."
"This position is more of a protection for some talented and powerful ninjas who do not want to get involved in the internal struggles of the village."
Now Kaito finally understood that he had always thought that Ao-sensei and Aunt Keiko, the so-called neutral faction in the village who followed Elder Genji more, was just a conceptual name.
I think the neutral faction only refers to all ninjas who have not joined the civilian faction or the clan faction.
I didn't expect there was such a position to unite factions.
However, since I had not realized before that Ao also had a job as a guard, it can be seen that this is indeed just a nominal position and will not have any other impact.
"Thank you very much, Ao-sensei. However, But about Zabuza."
Kaito suddenly thought that Zabuza's identity was actually a bit embarrassing now.
He is obviously a genius discovered by Yagura, and he also helped him complete the reform of the Ninja School graduation exam. He has a deep mark of the commoner faction, but he always obeys orders from Team Ao. Even this time when Yagura wanted to poach someone, he only found Kaito.
"You don't need to worry about Zabuza's affairs. It was also the Third Mizukage-sama's intention not to let him join the civilian faction. Jōnin Yagura will not say anything more about this matter."
"I'll take you three to meet Elder Genji sometime later. He really wants to know more about you."
"Then I'll trouble you, Ao-sensei."
Kaito bowed to Ao very solemnly to express his gratitude, which was also to thank Ao for taking care of him all the time.
"It doesn't matter. You are my student after all." Ao showed a relieved smile.
"But I think you can consider joining the Anbu as mentioned by Jōnin Yagura. It has nothing to do with factions. I think this is good training for you. And the Anbu unit is actually a unit directly under the Mizukage, which is also a good step for your future development."
"Okay, Ao-sensei, I'll consider it. But my current goal is to improve my strength."
Kaito answered after careful consideration.
The strength of a Chūnin is still too weak. Kaito feels that he must at least reach the level of a Jōnin before he can gain a foothold in the Anbu.
Ao also fully accepts that his students have their own ideas.
"Okay, go back early. You just returned to the village, so you should have a lot of things to do, right?"
"Well, Ao-sensei, goodbye."
After leaving the training ground, Kaito did not choose to go home.
Instead, he went to the Kirigakure Village Hospital to meet Nakamura Keiko.
Even though Kaito has become a Chūnin and has experienced the slaughter on the battlefield, he is still just a child in front of Nakamura Keiko.
Kaito actually enjoyed this kind of relationship very much. He not only showed Nakamura Keiko the "Chakra Scalpel" and "Mystical Palm Jutsu" that he had mastered during this period.
He also took out some of the latest derived formulas of systemic medicines and worked with Nakamura Keiko to study and improve them.
Nakamura Keiko, an expert who has worked in the medical system for many years, has also given many suggestions for improving these formulas.
"By the way, Aunt Keiko, I also encountered a spy from Konohagakure Village when I was on a mission at the front line this time."
Kaito briefly told the story of Yakushi Nono.
Of course, Nakamura Keiko is just an ordinary doctor. Kaito said this matter because it happened to be related to the improvement of his medical ninjutsu, and he wanted to share his experience with his elders.
After hearing this, Nakamura Keiko touched Kaito's head with some heartache.
"This is war, but you have to remember, Kaito. Your own life is the most important thing on the battlefield!"
"No matter how pitiful or lamentable the other person's true situation is, if it threatens your life, you should not hold back at all."
"Did you understand?"
"Believe me, Aunt Keiko, I am most afraid of death."
Kaito said this to Nakamura Keiko again with a smile.
