Upon hearing this, Kaito and the others looked in the direction Zabuza was pointing.
All they can see is a tiny black dot moving slowly on the sea level.
"What is this?" Mei was also a little confused.
Kaito immediately concentrated his mind, and a weak chakra gathered towards his eyes.
The black spot in the field of vision quickly enlarged, and Kaito could see clearly that it was an ironclad ship sailing on the sea in the distance.
At the same time, Kaito also noticed that a large number of dark-skinned strong men wearing Kumogakure forehead protectors gathered on the deck of the ironclad ship, dancing excitedly, as if cheering something.
He shifted his sight slightly to the front end of the splint. On a huge round platform stood a dark-skinned young man with a white headscarf and the word "iron" tattooed on his shoulder. His mouth opened and closed, and his body twisted randomly in a strange dance.
‘Oh my god! Isn't this Killer Bee?’
Thinking of this, Kaito's eyes moved back and forth.
Sure enough, after the inspection, he saw a blond man with slicked-back hair leaning against a railing on the right side of the plywood, bored.
‘The Fourth Raikage! No, he is not the Raikage yet, he should be called the Son of the Third Raikage.’
Kaito didn't expect to run into a large army from the Kumogakure Village at sea, and it was led by the famous AB combination.
You know, at this time the distance between the two ships was less than 10 kilometers. This distance was nothing for a ninja. Even on the sea, they could run over in a few minutes.
Kaito didn't care about the reactions of Mei and Zabuza, and immediately found the captain of the Kirigakure logistics ship.
The other party is just an ordinary person, who should be the one who is responsible for transportation to the Kirigakure Village from the Daimyo of the Land of Water.
When they heard that they had encountered the troop transport ship of the Kumogakure Village, they were also at a loss as to what to do.
There was no other way but to ask Mei and Zabuza, who had come along because they had noticed something was wrong, to find the only two senior ninjas on the boat.
Since the ship was transporting ninjas returning to the village for rest, there was no such thing as a commander.
Two senior ninjas were invited to the captain's room, one of whom was an acquaintance of Kaito.
Thick-browed taijutsu jōnin, Ken.
The two teams had previously returned to the front-line camp together after attacking the Konoha camp.
In the following month and a half, they would occasionally run into each other in the camp or while on missions, and now they could be considered acquaintances.
Another jōnin is called Lampert, a rare genjutsu jōnin in the Kirigakure Village.
Although he is not famous, he is almost fifty years old this year. Being able to live peacefully to this age at least proves that he still has some unusual means.
"Doctor Kaito, I heard from Zabuza that a large force from the Kumogakure Village was discovered at sea?" Ken asked as soon as he entered the captain's room.
"Yes, and they are led by the AB combination with quite a few people. It should not be an ordinary mission operation." Kaito replied directly.
Although the AB combination of Kumogakure was not as famous as Seven Ninja Swordsman, they were also well-known in the ninja world at that time, so Kaito directly pointed out the two opponents.
However, another senior ninja, Lampert, should have been briefly told by Mei what had happened on the way here, and the other party seemed to be relatively calm at this time.
"It's not likely they're coming for us, but we're not sure if this is a covert operation. Let's get the ship away from them first. By the way, do you have a telescope?"
Lampert addressed the last two sentences to the captain of the ship.
At this time, the captain calmed down a little after seeing the two senior ninjas arrive. Then he remembered that he had not observed the situation yet, and now it was just Kaito's one-sided statement.
He immediately rummaged through the drawers and took out several monocular telescopes and distributed them to everyone.
Kaito also took one out of curiosity, wanting to try whether it could be used in conjunction with "Keen Eye".
Unfortunately, it didn't work, so he gave his telescope to Blue next to him to play with.
"It is indeed the Kumogakure troop transport ship, but? What are they doing?"
Lampert closed one eye and looked across through the telescope, but his head was full of question marks.
‘A new trend in the ninja world, haven't you seen it before? I don't know why Killer Bee is so popular now.’
Kaito silently complained in his mind, but he still explained very seriously.
"Maybe some group entertainment during the voyage?"
An old-school ninja like Lampert obviously couldn't understand this kind of thing, so he didn't dwell on it anymore.
"Well, none of this matters. The other party doesn't seem to have noticed us yet, and judging from the direction they are heading, they should be heading towards the Land of Fire or the Land of Hot Water."
"They should be reinforcements for the front line, but I don't know why they are advancing from the sea."
Everyone present immediately thought of the recent information circulating in the camp that 'The Kumogakure Village is engaged in a tug-of-war with the Konohagakure Village in the territory of the Land of Hot Water'.
"I don't know why they took this route, but it's possible that they are preparing to launch a surprise attack from behind," Ken also guessed.
"That could really be a covert operation. We should try to stay away from them to avoid being silenced."
"Although there is no war between the village and Kumogakure Village, if the other side wipes us out at sea, no one will go to Kumogakure Village to avenge us."
Several people agreed with Lampert's statement, and the captain of the logistics ship began to order the ship to turn around when Lampert first said that he wanted to stay away from the other side.
Although it seems that a battle will not be triggered now, the two jōnin still ordered all the ninjas on the ship to be on alert.
At this time, even if a battle really broke out with the Kumogakure troops, the Blood Mist Ninjas would not just sit there and wait to die.
Fortunately, perhaps because Killer Bee was holding a concert at sea, the Kumogakure ninja did not notice the situation here. Or perhaps they noticed it, but did not care about exposing their own troop movements.
The ship finally managed to distance itself from the other party without any danger, and Kumogakure's ship disappeared on the sea level.
"Huh~ Dr. Kaito, it's all thanks to you." Ken smiled and patted Kaito's shoulder.
"Not a doctor. Never mind."
It seems that the other party's name cannot be changed, so Kaito no longer worries about it.
Lampert, who had been quite talkative just now, left the captain's room immediately after seeing that the situation had been settled. He had no intention of communicating with the people present.
Kaito didn't have any opinion on this, after all, he was a jōnin. And he had been in the Kirigakure Village for a long time, and he had seen all kinds of strange personalities.
He is just a little cold-hearted, but his mental level is definitely above the average in the Kirigakure Village.
Kaito just glanced at the other person's back and continued the previous topic.
"We just happened to be on the deck and discovered the other side in advance."
"It's a good thing you discovered it by chance. If the distance was too close, there would be some trouble."
After that, the two chatted for a few more words and then went back to their cabins.
