"Kaito, do we really not need to go and help? Those guys are probably dead."
Listening to the sounds of fierce fighting coming from afar, Mei said she wanted to help, but her expression was very casual.
At this time, Kaito's team was advancing carefully in a dense forest within the territory of the Land of Fire.
As for the sounds of fighting in the distance, they were the two teams of Kirigakure ninjas who had just been slaughtering the Land of Fire villagers. They were now being blocked and surrounded by several teams of Konoha ninjas who had just arrived.
"Their mission is to attract attention." Kisame, who was traveling with them, said coldly.
During the mission, Kisame seemed to have completely changed his appearance, which was very different from his previous polite and gentle appearance in the camp.
This also made Mei and Zabuza, who were carrying out a mission together for the first time, feel a little uncomfortable.
"Kisame is right. We just need to do our own thing and don't need to pay attention to those people."
This was not the first time the team encountered ninja teams from Konohagakure and Kirigakure colliding near the border.
It was only after they entered the Land of Fire that they realized why the front-line command dared to tell them to "ignore it and stay hidden" this time.
This time, the number of teams sent by the Kirigakure front command to invade the Land of Fire was far beyond everyone's imagination, and most of the ninjas among them were trying to divert the attention of the Konoha ninjas through a series of actions such as wantonly destroying village facilities, intercepting and ambushing Konoha ninjas, etc.
As for teams like Kaito that sneaked in quietly, if they hadn't been unlucky enough to be bumped into by Konoha's perception ninjas, no one would have had time to pay attention to them.
Besides, Kaito's team also has Zabuza, a part-time perception ninja who is becoming more and more proficient in ground listening, who is responsible for clearing the way. No fighting has occurred since they entered the territory of the Land of Fire.
"Wait a minute, there are two teams of eight people approaching us from behind."
Zabuza, who happened to be using perception ninjutsu to investigate the battle in the village, immediately spoke up to remind everyone.
However, Zabuza's subsequent words made the three people's tense mood relax a little.
"The direction they are heading doesn't seem to be facing us. They should be heading towards the village to provide support, but I'm not sure which direction they are heading towards."
"Just happened to pass by us? Then stay hidden and ignore them."
Kaito lowered his voice and said that at this moment, no matter which side the people were from, they didn't want to contact each other, so they simply walked deeper into the forest more carefully.
However, before they had walked far, Zabuza shouted a reminder again.
"Be careful! They're coming for us!"
Since the range of Zabuza's Perception Ninjutsu was much larger than Kaito's "Anticipation", it was not until this time that Kaito sensed the strong prompt.
"Left!" x2
Kaito and Zabuza shouted at the same time.
Without saying a word, Mei formed a seal and cast the "Water Formation Wall", spitting out water from her mouth, and quickly a water wall rose in the direction the two people pointed.
The next moment, a large number of thousands of stones and icicles hit the wall of the water array, splashing some water.
"Ice?"
The sharp-eyed Kaito immediately noticed something was wrong.
Then the water wall dissipated, and eight ninjas wearing masks of the Kirigakure Assassination Force appeared in front of everyone.
"You've already used the Ice Style Ninjutsu, but you're still thinking of pretending to be an ANBU? Everyone from the Yuki Clan!"
Kaito looked across with a serious expression, but spoke sarcastically.
The woman who was the leader of the eight people no longer hid her feelings after hearing this. She reached out and slowly took off her mask. It was the leader of the Yuki Clan who was seen at the training ground before.
Yuki Yama looked at Kaito with a cold expression.
"Little devil, are you still so arrogant when you are about to die?"
"Tsk, just you?"
Kaito still spoke arrogantly, but his left hand kept changing gestures behind his back, giving secret signals to his three teammates.
"How's it going, kid? Are you ready?"
Yuki Yama looked at the little actions of Kaito and others with a mocking look on her face. Before setting off, she had already found out that the opposing team was composed of four new Chunins.
Now she, a jonin, was leading seven chunins to surround and kill the enemy, which was already giving enough face to these little brats.
However, the first ninjutsu from the opponent almost made Yuki Yama drop her jaw.
Kisame was seen rapidly forming seals with his hands, his head tilted back greatly, and his chest bulged high.
"Water Style: Exploding Water Wave!"
As Kisame released the water jutsu that he had been accumulating for a long time, the water level where the few people were standing began to rise rapidly in an instant.
The dense forest was instantly filled with wave after wave of rushing water and turned into a vast ocean.
The impact of a large number of waves directly widened the distance between the two sides again.
"Is this a ninjutsu released by a Chunin?!"
Not only Yuki Yama and a few other Yuki Clan ninjas were frightened by Kisame's ninjutsu, but even Mei and Zabuza were also shocked.
Only Kaito, who knew the strength of Kisame, remained relatively calm.
This guy will be called the 'tailless tailed beast' in the future, and he really doesn't have such abundant chakra just by relying on Samehada.
A large part of Kisame's huge amount of chakra comes from his unique physique. Although his physique will also increase with the improvement of his strength, it is still far superior to most ordinary ninjas at present.
However, after watching Kisame perform ninjutsu, Kaito felt a little ashamed of him for being so cooperative and following his commands recently.
Looking at the four people standing on the water opposite, Yuki Yama found that the other party's strength seemed to be beyond her expectations. Her expression became a little uncertain, but then she gritted her teeth and spoke.
"You guys go deal with those three brats, I'll take care of this shark face."
After saying this, Yuki Yama thought of the village not far away where a battle was going on, and spoke up to remind them again.
"Quick victory! End the battle before the people from Konohagakure arrive!"
The seven accompanying Chunins immediately took orders and rushed towards Kaito and his companions.
Kaito would not be so foolish as to follow the other party's pace.
He immediately stretched out his hand to grasp the short sword behind him, bent his front legs slightly and leaned forward, staring at the seven ninjas rushing towards him.
1 second, 2 seconds.
'Almost!'
Seeing that the opponent had rushed to him, Kaito no longer hesitated. The veins on his arms bulged and he slashed out with the short sword in an instant.
"Shinsō: Cut"
A bright white light flashed across, instantly dyeing the fan-shaped area ten meters in front of Kaito.
"How is that possible!"
Yuki Yama, who had seen Kaito's actions from behind, was about to laugh at the kid in front of her for swinging his short sword recklessly, but at this moment, three of her men had their heads and bodies separated as they rushed forward, and one of the remaining four had his arm chopped off because he couldn't retreat in time.
[Ding! you have Killed three enemies in a short period of time and have unlocked the achievement "Triple Kill!"]
Kaito ignored the system prompt and slowly sheathed his sword.
Then he looked at his own achievements with a smile on his face and started to jokingly say.
"It's five on five now."
