Just when Yagura was about to stop the quarrel below.
A jonin from the staff team suggested.
"Since our current small-scale operations on the front line have an advantage, why not increase investment in this area?"
"As long as the casualty ratio advantage is still on our side, the actual effect is no less than launching a direct war. Until Konohagakure can no longer bear such casualties and is forced to attack the Land of Whirlpool, we will have an absolute advantage."
Most of the jonin present had their eyes light up when they heard this. Although this compromise method may not be perfect, people tend to have faith in their previous successful methods.
Kushimaru, who had just recovered from his injury, spoke up in agreement at the right time.
"This kind of small-scale assassination and sabotage is indeed more suitable for us, the Kirigakure Ninja. Even if those bastards from Konohagakure want to shrink their defense, time is on our side."
After thinking about it, Yagura also tended to this plan. The accumulated results of small-scale battles would be a considerable achievement.
And it just so happened that the proposal of this senior ninja coincided with his original idea.
Yagura stopped hesitating, took out the strategic map and began to give orders.
"Jonin Kushimaru, Jonin Juzo, the two of you will select two hundred ninjas by yourselves, and disperse into the Land of Fire in small teams. You will meet at this point and destroy Konohagakure's supply route. The specific timing of the launch will be decided by yourselves."
“I like this mission!”
Biwa Juzo grinned and accepted the task. As for Kushimaru, he was wearing a mask and his expression could not be seen.
"Jonin Jinpachi, you lead five teams and are responsible for destroying villages and Konohagakure outposts on the border of the Land of Fire. Make as much noise as possible to attract Konohagakure's attention."
"No problem!"
Then, Yakura turned his gaze to Akebino Jinin who had been listening silently.
"Jinin-senpai, please be responsible for commanding and deploying the remaining ninjas to eliminate the scattered teams of Konohagakure that are out exploring in the Land of Fire and to kill the support personnel. I can assign half of the ninjas in the camp to be under your command, with the primary goal of causing casualties to Konohagakure."
"I know."
As the oldest and most experienced of the Seven Ninja Swordsmen, Akebino Jinin solemnly accepted the task.
"The rest of you will stay at the camp with me, and be ready to deal with the Konohagakure army at any time. I want to see how long they can endure!"
"Yes!"
All the jonin present were excited, ready to do something big and make Konohagakure suffer.
Suikazan Fuguki looked at the commanding look of Yagura and was somewhat dissatisfied that he did not receive the mission. However, due to his current status, he could not say more here.
Among all the people present, only Ao had a strange expression. Perhaps it was because of his keen perception as a ninja, but Ao always felt that this did not seem to be the right decision.
However, as the person with the lowest seniority in the camp, Ao couldn't just rely on his intuition to refute the order of Yagura. He could only secretly decide to let the ninjas of the Perception Unit strengthen the defense of the camp in the near future.
Afterwards, all the jonin left to prepare for the next war.
Kaito, who was still unaware of this, was sleeping soundly in the team tent.
A few days ago, I went to the Land of Fire to carry out a mission. Although I did not encounter any battles, I was still very nervous and cautious throughout the whole process, so I naturally did not get a good rest.
After returning to the camp yesterday, I first treated Ao, and then went to the training ground to practice ninjutsu without a moment's rest.
Since the team planned to reduce their practice to maintain their condition today, Kaito took a rare opportunity to sleep in.
Blue, who had gotten up a long time ago, looked at his master sleeping soundly and felt a little playful.
He first hit Kaito's hair a few times, and when he saw that Kaito had no intention of waking up, he started grabbing Kaito's cheeks and making faces.
"Blue, stop making trouble~"
Kaito whimpered softly, then turned over and continued to sleep.
Just when Blue found the brush and prepared to give Kaito a delicate makeup, a magnetic voice came from outside the tent.
"Is Doctor Mirukawa there?"
Blue, feeling guilty, lost his grip on the brush and it flew into the air. Blue nervously stretched out his two hands and waved them in the air, but he failed to catch the naughty brush.
"Baji~"
The brush touched Kaito's forehead precisely as he just opened his eyes and stood up, and drew a black ink mark along his eyebrows.
Reluctantly, he picked up the brush on his body and put it aside. He rubbed the head of the little guy who had become more and more lively recently for a few times, and then Kaito quickly turned over and got up.
"Yes, Kisame, right? Wait for me a moment."
Kaito quickly changed his clothes and tidied himself up, but the ink marks on his forehead could not be completely wiped off for the time being. But he was afraid of being impolite to make Kisame wait too long, so he had to open the tent and walk out.
Sure enough, Kisame noticed the ink mark on Kaito's forehead at a glance and spoke with some surprise.
"Is Doctor Mirukawa researching new ninjutsu? It looks a bit like a sealing jutsu."
Upon hearing this, Kaito smiled awkwardly and immediately started talking nonsense.
"Yes! It is an advanced technique called Yin Seal, but it has not been fully developed yet."
"As expected of Dr. Mirukawa."
"呱~Σ(°△°|||)"
As soon as Blue poked his little head out of the tent, he heard his master talking nonsense. He immediately grabbed Kaito's trouser leg to stop him from talking nonsense.
Kaito, who has always been thick-skinned, felt embarrassed to deceive an honest person, so he decisively changed the subject.
"Kisame, you must have something to ask me, right?"
When Kisame heard the question from Kaito, his expression immediately became serious.
"The front-line camp has issued a war mission, requiring us to break into the Land of Fire and destroy Konoha's front-line supply lines. I have been assigned to carry out this mission with your team."
"Departing today? But our team just returned to the camp yesterday to rest."
When Kaito heard the mission, he immediately became completely sober, but he still subconsciously raised questions.
Kisame didn't care too much about this and started to explain.
"It should be a large-scale operation. Many teams have already set out. I came here as soon as I received the mission."
"What about the number of people on our mission? Which jonin is in charge of leading the team?"
Kaito still wanted to know more about the mission.
Kisame did not hesitate and immediately took out the mission scroll and continued.
"The team is led by two of the Seven Ninja Swordsmen, Kuriarare Kushimaru and Biwa Juzo. I don't know the exact number of people. The order we received is that each team should act independently and disperse into the territory of the Land of Fire. Don't worry about others. Ensure that the action is covert and gather at the designated location in two days."
"How is this hidden??"
There was no problem with other commands, but Kaito was a little confused when looking at the map in the mission scroll. Covert action and bypassing Konoha's front-line camp to reach the rear supply line?
Small-scale confrontations on the coastline of the Land of Fire have never stopped recently. Although they are infiltrating in dispersed ways, they want to get behind Konoha, which really does not take Konoha's various perception clans seriously.
I don’t know how many teams will finally reach the designated gathering point.
Unfortunately, since the order has been issued, Kaito has no power to refuse.
There was no time to say goodbye to Ao-sensei.
He immediately called up Terumi Mei and Momochi Zabuza who were still resting, and prepared to set off.
