“You!”
Yahiko turned around with a look of horror, pointed at the figure and blurted out: "Who are you?"
"My name is Miroku, I am here to pay my respects." The woman bowed slightly to Kumokawa, which was a very ancient etiquette.
Kumokawa looked at the young woman who suddenly appeared, and the trace of vigilance in his heart was slightly lowered. He smiled with a twinkling look in his eyes and said, "Miss Miroku, you have some pretty good tricks. You were able to avoid so many spies I arranged and come quietly to me."
"However, since you were invited and have already arrived, why do you have to hide and conceal yourself here? Are you afraid that we will not entertain you well enough?"
Just now, He couldn't see Miroku, but he could feel that there was someone standing there.
It sounds a bit weird, but that's how it feels.
"I don't mean to offend you, but because of my current condition, it's not suitable for me to appear in front of too many people."
Miroku shook her head and said in a gentle tone: "If you have already covered the entire city with the barrier that can sense and seal souls, I may only be able to wait and see outside the city."
“That’s right.”
After a moment, Kumokawa suddenly smiled, looked at the paper flower that appeared in front of the white monument, and said, "If someone can mourn for the deceased of another country, that person must not be a malicious person."
"But I am very curious, what do you mean by 'Son of Disaster' and 'Defier of Fate'?"
At this point, he slowly turned his head to look at Miroku, his smile slightly fading: "Are you the same as those snakes, insects, rats and ants who pretend to be gods and demons?"
——————————
At the same time, in an unknown secluded place far away from the hustle and bustle of the world.
The chirping of insects and birds is endless in the ears, and everywhere you look, there is green.
The place is full of birdsong and flowers, and it is full of vitality. Even the most prosperous Konoha is far inferior to it. Compared with the chaotic and complicated ninja world, it is like a paradise on earth, with a tranquility and beauty that ordinary people cannot imagine.
But a dull sound broke the tranquility here.
Bang!
With a burst of white smoke, Jiraiya appeared on the green rocks and subconsciously raised his hand to block the dazzling sunlight.
After he got used to the sudden change in brightness and looked at the singing of birds and the fragrance of flowers that he had not seen for a long time, Jiraiya exhaled deeply, as if he could still smell the stench of blood.
"Mount Myōboku." Jiraiya looked at the huge stone statues of toads standing around him and frowned, "Reverse Summoning Technique?"
This paradise-like place is Mount Myōboku.
Although the inheritance place of Sage Arts is very mysterious, there are many rumors circulating in the ninja world. It is known as one of the three holy places along with Ryuchi Cave and Shikkotsu Forest.
"Jiraiya boy."
Just when Jiraiya was confused, an old voice came.
The next moment, an old green-skinned toad with white beard and eyebrows, dressed in a black robe and looking like a human, jumped down from the "leaf" above Jiraiya's head that was as tall and thick as a tree.
"oh?"
Seeing the blood-stained grey armor on Jiraiya's body, the green-skinned old toad's expression turned a little surprised and disgusted: "How long has it been since you last showered?"
After that, he jumped onto Jiraiya's shoulder and said, "Come on, my wife has prepared dinner for you. Go take a shower first, or you won't have an appetite for the big meal."
Jiraiya's frown had almost relaxed, but when he heard that they were going to have a "big meal", his face instantly turned bitter.
He waved his hands and said, "Boss Fukasaku, Let's not rush to take a shower or eat. The situation in the ninja world is very tense right now. I have to hurry back. Let's talk business first. Why did you suddenly call me here?"
Hearing this, Fukasaku shrugged his shoulders and said helplessly, "I'm sorry, Jiraiya boy, I'm not too sure. This is an order from the Great Toad Sage. Maybe he saw a new prophecy, so he wants you to come over."
Hearing that it was the Great Toad Sage who was anxiously calling him over, Jiraiya's originally anxious expression instantly faded and became serious: "Is there any information about the Child of Prophecy?"
When he was a teenager, his personality was more impulsive than it is now. After being assigned to the same Genin class as Tsunade and Orochimaru, his performance was even more mediocre and he was a "tail crane".
Because Orochimaru was talented and intelligent and was valued by his sensei Sarutobi Hiruzen, he practiced the summoning technique rashly and greedily. By chance, he entered Mount Myōboku and met Fukasaku and Shima.
After several years of instruction from Fukasaku and Shima, and after passing the basic training test of Sage Arts, he signed a summoning contract with Mount Myoboku and met the Great Toad Sage.
"Your future disciple will be the one who brings change to the ninja world, and you will be the one who guides him. The decision you make will determine whether the future of the ninja world will be stable or destroyed."
Thinking of the content of the prophecy, Jiraiya's eyes sank slightly, and that heavy feeling of depression weighed on his heart again.
The Great Toad Sage is the founder of Mount Myoboku. As far as Jiraiya knows, he is a "Sage" who has lived for at least a thousand years. He has extremely terrifying chakra in his body and extremely accurate predictive ability.
Jiraiya was originally skeptical about the truth of the "prophecy".
However, a Sage who had lived for thousands of years and whose strength was immeasurable not only taught him the incomparably powerful Sage arts unconditionally, but also never interfered with his actions.
He couldn't think of any reason why he should be deceived.
Moreover, as he personally came to the battlefield, experienced endless wars, and witnessed countless deaths, Jiraiya became more and more aware of his own weakness and powerlessness.
Not to mention that he is only one step away from learning Sage Mode. Even if he learns the Sage Mode, he cannot change the future of the ninja world, nor can he stop the ongoing and inevitable war in the future.
He had no choice but to choose to believe and place his hopes of changing the ninja world on the "Son of Prophecy".
From the beginning to the end, he only got one prophecy. Now, is he finally going to learn the second prophecy?
However, looking at Jiraiya's expectant eyes, Fukasaku just shook his head: "The master asked me to take you to find him, and then he fell asleep again."
The Great Toad Sage is not only forgetful but also very sleepy, and it is not uncommon for him to sleep for several years at a time.
But every time he wakes up from his sleep, he can obtain some information about the future, more or less.
However, this time seems to be a little different.
“Jiraiya Boy..."
"Hmm? What's wrong?"
Fukasaku seemed to want to say something, but looking at Jiraiya who was in deep thought, he hesitated for a moment and shook his head: "Nothing, just an insignificant matter."
This time, the master didn't snore when he slept, and he didn't call Jiraiya Boy's name wrong when he woke up.
However, it doesn't seem like a big deal, and there seems to be no need to make a fuss and talk to Jiraiya about this...
"It's really suspenseful."
Seeing that Fukasaku was halfway through his words, Jiraiya's eyes twitched, and he immediately quickened his pace and ran towards the temple deep in Mount Myoboku, the bedroom where the Great Toad Sage lived.
After passing through a large area of moist, green ponds and trees, we soon came to a courtyard.
In the magnificent hall, an extremely huge old toad with a doctoral hat on his head, a string of Buddhist beads around his neck, and a huge body sat on a throne with the word "sage" written on it.
Another green toad with purple hair and lips was squatting quietly on the stone platform to the right of the Great Toad Sage.
It was none other than Shima, the wife of Fukasaku and one of the two great sages of Mount Myōboku.
After entering the hall, Fukasaku and Shima looked at each other. Seeing her shake her head imperceptibly, Fukasaku couldn't help but frown.
He immediately jumped onto the stone platform to the left of the Great Toad Sage, clasped his hands together with a solemn expression and said, "Master, Jiraiya boy is here."
“……”
However, in response to Fukasaku's call, the Great Toad Sage still closed his eyes, looking like he was dozing off, and did not respond at all.
If one hadn't seen his heaving chest, one would have even doubted whether this old toad with half his foot in the coffin had died of old age.
However, Jiraiya stood at the foot of the stone platform where it was enshrined, looking up at the Great Toad Sage with an expression that was still full of respect.
Although it was not the first time, I still couldn't help but feel awe when I sensed that bottomless aura.
"hiss!"
Shima took a deep breath with some helplessness, used Senjutsu Chakra to amplify her voice, and shouted: "Old man! Jiraiya boy is here!!"
The corners of Jiraiya's mouth twitched involuntarily, and then he saw the drooping eyelids of the Great Toad Sage move.
Seeing this, he subconsciously lowered his head and was about to say hello.
But just at this moment.
"Puff! Cough cough..."
The eyelids of the Great Toad Sage trembled slightly, and he spat out a mouthful of blood without any warning. The aura on his body, which was like the deep sea, also showed signs of visibly decaying.
When the glowing blood splattered on the floor of the hall, Jiraiya and the two great sages stood there in a daze for a moment.
"Master?!"
Fukasaku and Shima came to their senses, their expressions became extremely horrified, they couldn't help but scream, and hurriedly wanted to jump forward to check.
But the Great Toad Sage waved his hand and wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth.
"It's Nothing."
His voice was very calm and gentle, without any trace of panic, giving people the feeling that whatever happened was within his expectations.
This temperament, as calm and vast as the earth, also infected the two frogs and one person present.
"I'm really sorry, I'm old and my health isn't as good as it used to be."
The Great Toad Sage slowly looked down at Jiraiya and said in an old voice, "Oh, by the way... who are you?"
After hearing the first half of the sentence, Jiraiya, with a puzzled look on his face, was about to ask something, but after hearing the second half, he swallowed his words back instantly, revealing an indescribable complex expression.
Upon hearing this, Fukasaku and Shima, who were originally a little worried, couldn't help but show embarrassment and helplessness.
"Is it fun to play the same trick every time?" Shima muttered softly.
Fukasaku explained in a low voice: "Master, this is Jiraiya boy. You asked me to bring him here."
"Oh, now I remember, it was Jiraiya boy."
The Great Toad Sage said this, but there was no expression on his face.
However, after being treated like this, the two frogs and one person present calmed down a lot, even though they still had doubts in their hearts.
"Great Toad Sage, you called me here this time, is it about the Child of Prophecy?"
Jiraiya bowed slightly with a respectful attitude, his usual cynicism completely gone.
After all, the Child of Prophecy concerns the future fate and peace of the ninja world.
"What is it?"
The Great Toad Sage muttered slowly, as if he was recalling something. After a moment of silence, he slowly said, "I saw a terrifying human..."
Huh? A terrifying human?
Whether it was Fukasaku, Shima, or Jiraiya, they were all stunned when they heard this.
Who could be described as "terrible" by the Great Toad Sage who has lived for thousands of years?
You know, even the Son of Prophecy has only two endings according to the Great Toad Sage.
Promoting change in the ninja world will either lead to war or peace.
As long as Jiraiya finds the child of prophecy, educates and guides him, the possibility of peace in the ninja world will be greater.
Even as the son of prophecy, the Great Toad Sage did not use such a strange description as "terrible".
Jiraiya frowned and asked anxiously, "What does terrible mean?"
"Hmm..." The Great Toad Sage pondered for a moment, and said in a slightly low voice, "The righteous energy is weak, the evil energy is strong, the resentment is strong, the violence is strong, the ninja world is in turmoil, and fire is everywhere."
"He will bring disaster and war, completely subvert peace and order, and make ninjas no longer exist in the world. All living beings will live under his control."
A bunch of negative words came out of his mouth. Jiraiya couldn't help but make associations when he heard them, and his originally rosy face gradually turned pale.
Disaster and war?
Will ninjas disappear completely?
Peace and order subverted?
"What...what is this? What kind of human being can do these things?"
When the Great Toad Sage said this, even Fukasaku and Shima, who believed in the prophecy, showed disbelief. They subconsciously looked at Jiraiya and said seriously, "Could it be that the child of prophecy has taken the wrong path?"
This time it's not just about war.
But a disaster.
All the ninjas disappeared, and peace and order were completely overturned.
How could ninjas disappear?
Ninjas have existed since the founding of the Ninshū thousands of years ago.
As long as there are people who can refine chakra, it is impossible for all ninjas to disappear.
Unless the entire ninja world is destroyed...
"No, not the Child of Prophecy."
The Great Toad Sage shook his head, lifted his closed eyelids, opened his cloudy eyes, and said calmly: "I call him the Son of Disaster."
"He is an extremely evil person who no one can change."
