Two days later.
Kaito walked towards the village gate somewhat listlessly.
He had basically spent the past two days in the training ground getting familiar with his new weapons and skills.
However, it is estimated that his teammates are also following Ao-sensei's instructions and preparing to go to the front line. Only Blue has been accompanying him in training.
Unfortunately, Kaito was still thinking that if he could meet Zabuza at the training ground, he would show off his "Shinso" and the two new Kenjutsu he had mastered to him.
He even kept the "Leek" he had just drawn with him.
"Hey, Kaito. What are you doing so slowly here?"
Mei's clear voice came from behind.
Kaito originally just perked up a little and was about to turn around and say hello.
Unexpectedly, when I turned around, I saw another figure walking towards me with Mei.
Kaito's eyes immediately lit up, and with great willpower he did not turn his head away, but spoke to Mei.
"Good morning, Mei. How did you know I got a new ninja sword?"
"???"
Ignoring the confused look on Mei's face, Kaito continued speaking at a rapid pace.
"And it's a powerful ninja sword that's not inferior to the Seven Ninja Swords." Kaito deliberately raised his voice when talking about the 'Seven Ninja Swords', which seemed very artificial.
Seeing that Kaito couldn't help glancing at the person beside her, Mei, who had realized what was going on, rolled her eyes.
She ignored the stupid teammate and walked straight forward.
Even Blue looked at his master with disdain, then jumped and followed Mei.
"Hey, Zabuza, you're here too."
Looking at Kaito's face that looked like he deserved a beating, Zabuza slowly reached for the short sword behind him.
Seeing this situation, Kaito knew when to stop, and immediately stepped forward to embrace Zabuza, and said with a refreshed look.
"Okay, it's just a joke. Let's see if you will mock my sword again in the future."
Upon hearing this, Zabuza immediately corrected him with some dissatisfaction.
"I am mocking your Kenjutsu!"
Kaito looked at Zabuza with a playful smile, but Zabuza would definitely not believe the question about Kenjutsu just by words.
"Hey, let's talk about Kenjutsu later. Take a look at this hilt first."
The few of them walked noisily all the way to the gate of the Kirigakure Village.
At least fifty ninjas of various shapes and sizes had gathered outside the gate of the Kirigakure Village, but the three of them still spotted Ao who was talking to several ninjas dressed as jonin.
The three of them did not immediately step forward to say hello, but stood aside and waited for a while.
"I don't know if Ao-sensei, the new vice captain of the Perception Unit, can manage so many ninjas."
Mei looked in the direction of Ao with some concern. Before coming, none of them had thought that this so-called perception support force would have so many people.
"Don't worry, this is a battlefield, and Ao-sensei is the temporary commander designated by the village. No one will ask for trouble."
Kaito said this while looking at these ninjas who were about to go to the front line.
Perhaps because there are very few people in the Kirigakure Village who become perception type ninjas right after graduation, the fifty-plus people present are basically all adults, which makes Kaito and the other two seem a little special.
Kaito just wonders how many of these people are "bodyguards" like the three of them who are just filling in the numbers.
Oh, that’s not right, Zabuza should now be considered a perception ninja.
He doesn't know what the village was thinking. They were even unwilling to let the perception troops wait for two more days and set off with the large force that was going to provide support.
While Kaito and the other two were looking at these ninjas, the others were actually also paying attention to the trio.
There was no way, the three of them were too young, and most people's eyes were full of doubt and distrust.
Fortunately, Ao didn't make them wait too long. After finishing the conversation, he immediately waved in this direction, motioning the three to come over.
"The village requires us to rush to the Land of Whirlpool camp on the front line as soon as possible. The three of you remember to follow me closely on the way. Got it?"
Perhaps because it was his first time commanding so many people, Ao's expression was much more serious than usual.
Naturally, the three of them would not cause trouble for their sensei at a time like this, and they all nodded in agreement very seriously.
Ao couldn't help but feel dazed when looking at the three people's somewhat immature faces.
In fact, Ao also considered whether to let the three students stay on standby in the village and continue to perform some low-rank tasks to accumulate experience.
After all, the front line is basically bound to fight with Konohagakure Village in the near future, so there is still considerable danger.
But the three of them are ninjas after all, and they will have to face these things sooner or later.
Now we are going to the battlefield together and I will be there to take care of them. If the three of them are assigned to support the front line later, it may be even more dangerous.
Moreover, Ao also believes in the talents and abilities of his three students.
Thinking of this, Ao no longer hesitated and turned around to give orders to all the Perception Unit ninjas.
"Perception Unit, let's go."
The three-day journey went by smoothly. A ninja troop of fifty or sixty people is not a small number, and usually no ignorant civilians would dare to provoke them.
The Perception Unit that came to support traveled day and night to the front-line camp within the borders of the original Land of Whirlpool.
This land, which had been destroyed for a long time, seemed somewhat desolate.
If it weren't for the brand new Kirigakure Village camp before them, everyone would even doubt whether they had come to the wrong place.
However, after continuous travel, these Perception Unit ninjas who were finally able to stand on solid ground were not in the mood to appreciate the camp.
In order to get to the frontline as soon as possible, the group of more than 50 people were divided into several groups, taking turns to manipulate the ocean currents to speed up the boats, so that they could get here within three days. Only a few ninjas who did not know water style ninjutsu managed to escape.
In Kaito's opinion, this operation was considered very ninja-like.
"Fortunately, we arrived at the Land of Whirlpool in the morning. If we had waited until the afternoon, it would have been our turn to speed up the ship."
As soon as Mei got ashore, she felt somewhat relieved and started complaining to Kaito in a low voice.
Even Zabuza nodded weakly in agreement.
But after all, their sensei was the commander of these troops, and rushing to the front line as soon as possible was the order from the village, so the three of them couldn't show too much dissatisfaction at this time.
"Well, we have arrived safely. There is nothing Ao-sensei can do about the village's orders."
It's not that Kaito doesn't dislike the hard job of speeding up the ship.
But when he thought of those Kumogakure Ninjas, who were lined up in a square formation and performing Lightning Release Ninjutsu to charge their batteries, he suddenly felt much more comforted.
Ao, who was the first to get off the boat, saw that everyone had already reached the shore, so he stepped forward to hand over to Suikazan Fuguki who had been waiting for a long time.
"Perception Unit, all support troops are present."
"Okay, I know you are the support troops, so come into the camp." Suikazan Fuguki just waved his hand and turned away.
Now even Kaito and the other two who were following behind Ao could see that Suikazan Fuguki was showing some resistance and impatience.
And I don’t know if it was because the height of the three people was too conspicuous, but Suikazan Fuguki’s gaze lingered on the three people for a few seconds before leaving.
But if you think about it carefully, it is understandable, although Ao who came here is still under his command.
But in a few days, Yagura, who will lead the majority of the supporting troops, will directly take over the command of the front line.
For Suikazan Fuguki, who had just suffered a defeat not long ago, he naturally would not be in a good mood at this time.
'Well, I hope there won't be any trouble in the camp next time.'
Kaito thought so.
