As Kaito stopped supplying chakra, the white blade light shattered like a spot of light and disappeared in an instant.
Looking at this magnificent scene, Kaito couldn't help but be stunned.
"No, it's dangerous!"
With a warning in his heart, Kaito subconsciously wanted to duck his head, but...
"Pah~"
Shimotsuki Ichiro's big hand slapped Kaito's head firmly on the back.
"You little brat! My rocking chair! The wooden board. Don't you know I told you to aim at the wooden board?"
While old man Shimotsuki was roaring at Kaito, he immediately ran nervously to the rocking chair that was broken into pieces on the ground.
"This chair has been with me for almost twenty years!"
Kaito scratched his head in embarrassment. He wanted to experiment with the function of the short sword a little more, but he was afraid of damaging other things in the yard again.
He had no choice but to sheath the short sword and go forward to comfort Shimotsuki who was cursing angrily.
After a long confession of his mistake, the old man finally forgave Kaito.
Afterwards, Kaito and Blue accompanied the old man to pick up the broken pieces of the rocking chair before returning to the courtyard.
"I didn't expect you to have such a good amount of chakra."
After calming down, Shimotsuki was surprised at the strength of Kaito.
"I thought that this blade light could only extend 6 or 7 meters, but I didn't expect it to be that far."
You know, the area of the backyard of this ninja tool shop is not small, and the position where the two of them were standing just now was at the edge of the courtyard. The sword light released by Kaito extended nearly ten meters, which directly destroyed Shimotsuki's rocking chair.
"Well, it's true that the chakra is a little more than that of ordinary Genin." Having just caused a little farce, Kaito shouldn't brag too much at this time.
In fact, after eating two pieces of [rare candies] and practicing unremittingly, Kaito's current chakra amount is considered very impressive among the Chunins.
After Shimotsuki's explanation, Kaito finally understood the full effect of this ninja sword.
Under normal circumstances, the user can increase the strength and sharpness of the blade by infusing chakra into the blade. This is a basic attribute that most weapons made of chakra metal have.
The other is the move that Kaito just used.
When the user injects chakra into the diamond-shaped mark on the handle, the short sword will instantly converge the air, creating a white wind blade that quickly extends outward. Continuous infusion of chakra can then maintain the existence of the wind blade, greatly extending the attack range of the blade.
However, Shimotsuki did not expect that a Genin like Kaito could extend the wind blade of the short sword to nearly ten meters.
"This short sword was originally a modified pair of swords, but even I couldn't preserve its powerful wind control ability. In the end, I had to choose a tricky method to extend the blade by binding and condensing the wind."
"Unfortunately, the blade condensed by the wind has limited strength, only at the level of an ordinary metal sword. Even if more chakra is poured into it, it will only increase the length of the blade."
The old man said with some regret.
However, Kaito didn't care much about this. Instead, he paid more attention to the terrifying speed of the wind blade when it was extended. This kind of attack is destined to be more suitable for sneak attacks, and the intensity is secondary.
Thinking of this, Kaito drew out the short sword again, holding it in one hand with the tip of the short sword pointing to the sky.
Then he poured all his chakra into the diamond-shaped mark.
"Shua~"
The white wind blade extended outward from the tip of the short sword again, shooting straight up into the sky. However, this time, the speed of the blade suddenly dropped when it grew to 13 or 14 meters.
Until the end, no matter how much Kaito increased his output, the length of the white wind blade did not exceed 15 meters.
"That's it. The longer the blade condensed by the wind is, the greater the consumption of chakra is. It cannot be extended indefinitely."
Shimotsuki explained at the right time that this was why he was so surprised when he saw the length of the wind blade released by Kaito.
Kaito was not too depressed, but it seemed that there was no need to condense a blade longer than 12 meters in the future. After all, it consumed too much chakra, but the main reason was that the speed of the wind blade extension would decrease, making the meaning of a sneak attack impossible.
He gently swung his arm, perhaps because the blade is condensed by wind, he can't feel the weight at all when swinging it, and because the blade itself is long enough, even if the arm only swings slightly, the wind blade long sword will quickly cut through the air.
After testing it again, Kaito was very satisfied with this ninja sword, so he stopped transmitting chakra, dispersed the blade, and turned to look at Shimotsuki.
"Thank you, Shimotsuki-san, I like this short sword very much!"
Seeing the kid suddenly thank him so formally, old man Shimotsuki felt a little embarrassed and waved his hands repeatedly.
"This is just an ordinary deal, kid. I have also received your payment. As long as you make a name for yourself in the ninja world with this sword, I will be satisfied."
"Hey, don't worry, old man."
Kaito happily put away the short sword.
Before, I just wanted to ask Shimotsuki to help me build a more sturdy melee weapon.
I didn't expect to get such an excellent ninja sword in the end. Although it's just a bankrupt version of "Shinsō", Ichimaru Gin's Zanpakutō, so it's normal for it to be stronger. Kaito is not envious at all.
Seeing how Kaito couldn't let go of the ninja sword, Shimotsuki felt that his efforts were worthwhile.
Then, the old man, who already knew that Kaito was about to go to the battlefield, took out a lot of consumables such as explosive tags and kunai from the ninja tool shop and gave them to him.
"Little boy, the remaining materials are also valuable. Just take them. Be careful and stay alive. I am still waiting for you to make a name for me!"
Unable to refuse, Kaito could only accept these things with some shame.
But before leaving, Shimotsuki suddenly called out to Kaito.
"Kid, this ninja sword hasn't been named yet, what are you going to call it?"
Kaito didn't think much about it, and simply fixed the short sword behind his back, and said with a shameless smile.
"Of course, I will call it Shinsō!" (Shinsō = God spear)
At the moment when Kaito named the short sword, a system prompt suddenly sounded in his ears.
[Ding! You have obtain an exclusive ninja sword and have unlocked the achievement 'Heading towards the position of the Hashira!']
[Ding! The limited-time event lottery pool 'Slash Pool' is open. The prize pool will be closed after the event ends. ]
'Another achievement unlocked? And a new prize pool!'
Kaito didn't expect the surprise to come so suddenly, and he didn't expect that a ninja sword could unlock a limited-time prize pool.
But now they were still in front of the ninja tool shop, and Kaito suppressed the joy in his heart and did not show any strange expression.
"Shinsō? Not a bad name!"
Shimotsuki silently recited the word that Kaito had just called out, and then his eyes lit up.
"You have a pretty naming sense, Kaito boy."
