Over the next ten days, Kaito and Zabuza concentrated on learning new ninjutsu.
The two of them even cut back on their planned Kenjutsu practice.
That's right, both of them have arranged a certain amount of Kenjutsu practice recently. Kaito is doing basic training, while Zabuza is doing Kenjutsu combined with wire techniques.
However, the training progress of both of them was a bit slow, and they could only rely on pulling each other down to cheer themselves up.
Ao was running between the Perception Unit and the training ground, familiarizing himself with his new job while guiding his students in their practice.
The three of them were all very busy, so Mei was the only one who went to the Mizukage Building every day to check for suitable tasks.
Mei had no complaints about having to watch the mission board, but she still had to catch the two of them for a sparring match every afternoon when she came to the training ground.
The strength of the three of them is now about the same, and they usually win and lose against each other. This kind of sparring has a very obvious effect on improving their strength.
Oh, by the way. Since Blue's last evolution, his attributes in all aspects have been improved, and his overall strength has grown by leaps and bounds.
Now he has the strength of an ordinary Chunin, especially his speed is amazing, and his actual combat level is not inferior to the three of them.
So now, both Mei and Zabuza refuse to regard Kaito and Blue as a whole.
During normal combat training, they are basically divided into four groups and fight on their own, or in pairs.
Dragon → Tiger → Hare
"Water Style: Water Wave"
The Water Wave Ninjutsu is slightly different from the 'Water Style: Water Wave' that Mei often uses.
The impact force was even weaker and couldn't even create waves. The water spit out from Kaito's mouth turned into a parabola, forming a small lake on the ground.
However, this ninjutsu only has three seals, is released faster, and consumes less chakra, which perfectly meets Kaito's current needs for creating water environment ninjutsu.
Seeing that the water waves had completely covered the ground, Mei reluctantly crawled out from the ground.
That’s right, combat training is currently underway.
Since all three members of the Team Ao are considered water-style ninjutsu, Mei has been using earth-style ninjutsu from the beginning of training to now, to avoid releasing water waves to create a combat environment for the opponent.
Unfortunately, Mei didn't master many earth-style ninjutsu. When she tried to use the "Double Suicide Decapitation Jutsu" to launch a sneak attack on Kaito, she was discovered and was nearly crushed underground by the water wave.
Just as Mei emerged from the water, a teasing voice reached her ears.
"Water Style: Water Prison Jutsu"
A large amount of water spiraled up around her and wrapped around Mei. As the water rotated, it quickly closed into a sphere more than one meter high, actually locking her directly in the water prison.
But before Kaito could say a few polite words.
A short blue figure flashed behind Kaito, holding a crystal clear water ball in one hand and gently patting his thighs twice with the other hand.
Kaito looked down helplessly and saw that it was Blue who was in the same group with Mei in this battle.
"Okay, you win."
Kaito easily pulled out his arm and released the control of the Water Prison Jutsu.
"Yeah~"
After coming out of the Water Prison, Mei immediately went up to Blue and high-fived him happily.
As for where Zabuza is?
As early as the battle started, when Zabuza was about to release the Hidden Mist Jutsu, he was ambushed and "knocked out" by Mei and Blue, and withdrew from the sparring.
"Hey, Zabuza, where did you learn how to stand still and raise one hand high to pose when performing the Hidden Mist Jutsu? I don't remember you doing this move before?"
Seeing that the winner had been decided, Zabuza, who had just walked over, blushed immediately when he heard this. Fortunately, he was wrapped in bandages so no one could see it.
However, Zabuza's eyes were still wandering around, and he didn't dare to look at Kaito.
He couldn't say that he had recently seen Mei's Hidden Mist Jutsu also involve breathing out mist from her mouth.
The first time he watched from an outsider's perspective, he found that the spell looked too silly, so he came up with this cool pose himself.
"From now on, when I cast a ninjutsu, I will never raise hands again!"
Zabuza silently set a rule for himself in his heart.
"Okay, you guys lose today, so you guys should all treat me to dinner."
Mei picked up Blue and looked at Kaito with a smile.
Blue immediately agreed.
"Quack~(＞＜)"
"I'll treat you.”
Ao arrived at the training ground at some point and instantly landed in front of several people.
"Ao-sensei, you came really early today~"
Ao looked up at the sky somewhat embarrassedly, and decided to ignore Mei's teasing and continue with his own topic.
"Let's go, let's go eat now. It's been a while since I treated you all as your sensei."
No one had any objections, and since it was about time, they just packed up their things and prepared to leave.
In fact, the last time Ao treated everyone to a meal was just a few days ago. However, perhaps because it was his first time as a Jōnin-sensei, Ao always felt that he needed to give more.
Afterwards, they went to a barbecue restaurant that they frequented frequently.
While chatting about the training in recent days, they waited for the restaurant to serve the food.
Maybe it’s because the training is very exhausting and it’s the time when they are growing, so the three little ones eat a little too much.
After Ao finished eating, he did not urge others. He just watched his three students eat quietly.
After Zabuza finally put down his chopsticks, Ao speak at the right time.
"Have you finished eating?"
After seeing the three people and the frog nodded in confirmation, Ao's expression became more serious, and he spoke after a brief pause.
"I have some bad news to tell you. In three days, our team will be ordered to go to the front line."
The three of them were stunned for a moment.
Kaito had noticed that Ao seemed to be in a bad mood during dinner today, and he wanted to say something, but he didn't expect that his team would go to the battlefield so soon.
The other two were also very surprised.
The main reason is that the daily training and rest have been too regular recently, making everyone forget that the Kirigakure Village and Konohagakure Village are now at war.
And recently, some ninjas in the village often complain.
'The frontline troops have been sent out for half a month, but they are just hiding in the old site of the Land of Whirlpool and have not really entered the territory of the Land of Fire, which is somewhat embarrassing for the Blood Mist Village.' Topics like this.
This made everyone think that this was only the early stages of the war and the village would not send additional troops to the front line in the short term.
"Ao-sensei, is there something wrong on the front line?"
Ao nodded with a somewhat unpleasant expression and replied.
"Yes, the reconnaissance troops sent out by the village to the front line happened to run into the konohagakure troops that came to support the border defense."
"Kurosuki Raiga, one of the Seven Ninja Swordsmen of the Mist, and Chūkichi, the captain of the Perception Unit, were attacked in the Land of Fire. The troops they led were almost completely wiped out, and they luckily managed to escape back to the frontline camp."
"What?!"
The three of them exclaimed in surprise at the same time. These two men were definitely not weaklings, but the troops they led were completely wiped out.
And Ao actually used the word "lucky" to escape.
Ao looked at the three of them and said in a very serious tone.
"The commander Konoha sent to the front line is Orochimaru!"
