The next morning.
Kaito first got up early and went to the hospital to report to Nakamura Keiko that he was safe.
Aunt Keiko also forced him to stay and take a series of medical knowledge tests by saying, "The medical field is a field that always requires exploration and learning, even if you have become a medical ninja. However, any mistakes and lack of knowledge on your part may result in the death of your teammates. So as a backup for your teammates, you must keep learning."
In this way, after completing the assessment given by Aunt Keiko in the hospital, Kaito participated in two more operations. He did not leave the hospital until the afternoon with a thick stack of information.
After returning home and putting down the documents, Kaito, who was no longer in the mood to rest, decided to take Blue for a good stroll in the Kirigakure Village.
In fact, from the last time he drew from the limited-time event Prize Pool to now, Kaito has already accumulated enough gold coins for two ten-draw draws.
However, Kaito is worried that he will encounter this kind of embarrassing situation again, where a limited-time prize pool suddenly appears and he doesn’t have enough gold coins.
Kaito decided to save up gold coins for a while longer, and if there was no event prize pool, he would draw the lottery all at once.
Anyway, the Water Attribute Pool is still some distance away from guaranteeing a gold prize. At present, simply adding one more water attribute ninjutsu or item will not improve his strength by much.
Kaito was wandering aimlessly, and suddenly stopped in silence.
"I really don't have a leisurely life. How did I end up here for no apparent reason?"
He scratched his head helplessly. In front of him was the No. 9 training ground where Team Ao usually trained and assembled.
"Well, now I'm here."
Since he had no purpose at all, Kaito simply walked into the training ground and prepared to do some simple exercises with Blue.
But he didn't expect that as soon as he entered the training ground, he would see his two teammates and sensei from afar. All three of them were practicing on the field.
"We agreed to take a break today, so why did you guys gather here secretly? No one notified me."
Seeing that the three people didn't pay any attention to him, Kaito simply spoke up to remind them.
All three of them looked towards the entrance.
"Haha, I told you that Kaito would definitely come over too."
Terumi Mei put down the kunai in her hand and walked towards Kaito happily.
"So when did you guys make the appointment secretly?"
"No, Zabuza came here to train very early. I practiced at home in the morning and came here after lunch. As for Ao-sensei."
At this point, Mei stuck out her tongue at Ao, indicating that Ao should speak for himself.
Seeing this, Ao smiled awkwardly and said.
"I just got here not long ago. I had something to do this morning."
In fact, Ao went to report to the Perception Unit in the morning, but the Perception Unit Captain Chūkichi had already followed the first batch of ninjas to the front line to be responsible for intelligence work.
The remaining members of the Perception Unit were doing their own jobs, and Ao, the parachuted leader, was unable to intervene. After briefly understanding the situation of the Perception Unit, he also came to the training ground.
Zabuza, who was standing by, stopped training when he saw Kaito arrive, turned his head away and did not go forward to talk to him.
After such a long period of contact, Zabuza found that he still needed to talk less to this guy Kaito, otherwise he might not be able to resist drawing his sword and chopping this guy at any time.
However, Kaito secretly glanced at the cool-looking Zabuza who was secretly hiding a short steel sword behind his back.
"Hey, Zabuza, it's a coincidence that you're here too. I was worried that my swordsmanship would not be standard when I came to the training ground."
Zabuza's veins popped up when he heard that, and he no longer hid the short sword behind him, ready to train Kaito's swordsmanship.
Fortunately, Ao interrupted what was going to happen next and spoke.
"I was going to tell you this tomorrow, but now that everyone is here, there are some things I need to inform you."
"What? Ao-sensei, you are going to be the Captain of the Perception Unit?" Mei looked at Ao in surprise.
"It's the Vice Captain."
"But Ao-sensei, haven't you just become a Jonin not long ago? Your strength..." Zabuza asked doubtfully.
After telling his students the news, Ao wondered whether the three little devils would worry about the team being disbanded or the captain being replaced. Who would have thought that they would actually question whether he was capable of doing the job first.
"The Perception Unit doesn't value combat power! And there are only a few Perception-type ninjas in the village."
Since the Kirigakure Village does not have clans specialized in perception like the Hyuga and Inuzuka clans, many common means of perception will be weakened by the Hidden Mist Jutsu.
Moreover, under the previous blood mist policy, ninjas with skills such as medical treatment, perception, and illusion had relatively weak combat effectiveness in the early stages and were easily killed in cruel eliminations.
Therefore, the number of perception ninjas is at the bottom among the five great ninja villages.
Fortunately, on the battlefield, the Hidden Mist Jutsu suppressed the perception abilities of some ninjas in disguise, and the Kirigakure Village also had a special "silent killing technique", so it was not a big disadvantage.
Ao saw that the three little ones all had an expression of "Oh~ No wonder~" on their faces.
He got straight to the point and gave each of them a punch on the head.
Seeing the three of them covering their heads, Aoi continued speaking with satisfaction.
"I have already made a request to Mizukage-sama so Team Ao is not going to split up. You will still be my subordinates and carry out missions together."
"But Ao-sensei, none of us three know any sensory ninjutsu." Kaito asked.
"It doesn't matter. Like I said before, there are few perception ninjas in the village, so not all the perception ninjas in the Perception Unit are perception ninjas. Some of them are responsible for guarding the Perception Unit or handling other related tasks."
"So we are now also members of the Perception Unit?"
"You should be considered as a subordinate of mine, and you will be non-staff members of the Perception Unit."
Although it was a bit strange for three Genin to guard Ao, who was a Jonin, but thinking about the Kage Guards, they accepted the appointment.
Then Ao seemed to have thought of something and continued speaking.
"By the way, because of this mission, the village will reward each of you with a C-rank ninjutsu. And as I said during the previous mission, I will teach you some ninjutsu after you return to the village to help you improve your strength."
When Ao said the second half of the sentence, he looked at Kaito and Zabuza.
"So, if you are interested in perception ninjutsu, I can also teach you how to get started."
Mei looked at the two of them, shrugged and spoke.
"It's up to you guys. I've tried before, but unfortunately I don't have any talent for perception."
Ao first cast an inquiring look at Kaito. He always believed that Kaito was a very talented person with great perception.
Unfortunately, Kaito knew his own business. He knew that every time he had been able to detect the enemy in advance, it was not because he was talented, but because of his passive ability "Anticipation".
He had none of the chakra sensitivity and innate spiritual acuity required of a Perception Ninja.
Kaito had to politely reject Ao's proposal.
"Ao-sensei, I am now a medical ninja. My main training direction is water-style ninjutsu. Recently, I also want to study swordsmanship. It may not be suitable for me to divide my attention anymore."
Although it is true that he cannot be distracted, Kaito also thought that maybe one day he could draw a skill like 'Foresight' or 'Odor Sleuth' and become a perception ninja.
He doesn't want to spread his energy across too many things now.
