"Spy? Where?"
After hearing what Mirukawa Kaito said, everyone around was a little confused.
Only Suikazan Fuguki changed his previous lazy expression, immediately raised his hand, clenched his fist, and shouted.
"All patrol ninjas on duty, block off the area!"
"Yes!"
Regardless of whether the surrounding Kirigakure ninjas realized what was happening or not, they all immediately obeyed the order.
In an instant, more than half of the ninjas present dispersed and looked around vigilantly.
"Little boy, you'd better be responsible for what you said."
Fuguki made all the arrangements and spoke sinisterly to Kaito.
"Fuguki-sama"
“Shut up!”
Ao next to him wanted to say something for his student at this time, but even as a jōnin level ninja, Ao was intimidated by the power of Fuguki at this moment.
"Little devil, you speak."
Kaito didn't expect that Fuguki, who had been looking lazy these days and was ridiculed in the original work as a sword-raising servant for Hoshigaki Kisame, would have such a side.
Fortunately, Kaito had already made some mental preparations when he sent out the flare, so he was able to remain calm and speak.
"Fuguki-sama, I suggest that you block the entire camp directly, because the spy I discovered is not here."
Fuguki looked fiercely at the little devil who was still able to remain calm at the moment. Without any nonsense, he raised his hand and threw out a red flare.
Although Fuguki has been too lazy to take care of things these days, it is only because he is about to be deprived of power.
But he didn't want to make any serious mistakes on the eve of the handover of command, which would make his short front-line command career even more embarrassing.
Seeing that Fuguki was so cooperative, Kaito also started to explain directly.
"Fuguki-sama, just now, I was at the west side of the camp and found that Furutani Hanako from the Medical Unit was using a summoning beast to transmit information to the outside world."
"I even suspect that the other party is not Furutani Hanako at all. I am the only participant in the village's current medical ninja selection, and I have been an intern in the Kirigakure Hospital for a long time. With her level of medical ninjutsu, I should have heard of her."
These were naturally excuses made by Kaito. After all, he couldn't say that he recognized the other party as the "Wandering Miko" because he had read the original work. This was not information he should know.
He could only support his statement through some specious information. As for the excuse given by 'Furutani Hanako' about leaving the hospital to take care of orphans, Kaito didn't even mention it.
"Really? Then why didn't you suspect her before?"
Fuguki obviously would not completely believe Kaito just because of a few words, and still stared at Kaito's eyes.
"She had already been working in the Medical Unit before I came with the Perception Unit. And she seemed to be very familiar with most of the medical ninjas. At first I just thought that I had never seen her for some reason."
This was indeed the reason why Kaito had no doubts before and chose to believe the other party's words. But now that he thought about it, in the eyes of others, he seemed to be an acquaintance of 'Furutani Hanako' who had known each other for a long time, right?
"But it was only until just now, when I saw her secretly using Summoning Jutsu in the dark, that I began to doubt her true identity."
Fuguki did not respond to Kaito immediately.
Instead, he called over a ninja dressed as a jōnin nearby and gave him an order.
"Yako, go to the Medical Unit and find this woman named Furutani Hanako. If you can't find her, search the entire battalion for her and gather all the doctors to see if anyone can prove her identity."
"Yes." After receiving the order, the jonin immediately set off for the medical tent.
"Kid, you better pray that your guesses are correct."
Hearing this, Kaito breathed a sigh of relief, because even if all his inferences were wrong, the "Anticipation" would not be wrong. At that time, "Furutani Hanako" really wanted to kill him to silence him.
Therefore, Kaito did not regret directly launching the flare to cause such a big commotion.
In fact, he could have reported the matter to Ao first, but after ensuring his own safety, Kaito's first thought was to make a big fuss, preferably to catch her before she ran out of the camp.
In any case, since the other party wants to kill him, no matter whether she is a character in the original novel or not, and no matter whether she has an orphanage to take care of her or not, Kaito will try his best to get rid of her.
And since he was wearing the Kirigakure forehead protector, the people of Konohagakure were his enemies. Even the gentle and sunny Namikaze Minato in the original work did not get the title of "Yellow Flash" by virtue of his popularity.
At this time, a sinister voice was heard.
"Boy, since you found out that the other party was a spy, why didn't you sound the alarm on the spot?!"
Kaito subconsciously turned his head away.
A tall and thin man wearing a Kirigakure ANBU mask appeared behind him at some point, leaning over and looking down at him.
"Kushimaru-senpai, Kaito is only a Genin. If he raises the alarm in front of the other party, he will most likely be stopped by the other party."
Ao hurriedly appeared beside his student and tried to excuse him.
"Really? But if you're a step late, the other party might escape."
What Kuriarare Kushimaru meant by being unable to escape was naturally referring to the fact that after Kaito sent out the signal, he should have used his life to hold the other party back, giving other people in the camp a chance to catch the spy.
"Kushimaru-senpai, I didn't realize the other party's identity right away. I was in a hurry to go back and deliver the medicine. I only thought of this when I got here, and then I immediately sounded the alarm."
Kaito calmly raised the antidote in his hand and explained. As for whether the other party believed his words or not, Kaito didn't care much.
“Swoosh~”
A figure instantly appeared next to Fuguki who was watching the show and whispered something.
Fuguki first glanced in the direction of Kaito, and then spoke.
"It's confirmed, Furutani Hanako is an unknown spy, and she has escaped from the west side of the camp. Kuriarare Kushimaru, you and Yako will lead the pursuit. Regardless of whether she has any undelivered information, try to capture her alive."
Kuriarare Kushimaru didn't say anything, but just nodded slightly, as if he had accepted the task.
Then Fuguki seemed to have thought of something and said to Ao and Kaito.
"Ao, since it was your team member who discovered this spy, your team should also participate in the pursuit mission."
Ao on the side wanted to refuse immediately. Not to mention that he was also responsible for dispatching the Perception Unit, his three students were all Genin.
"Fuguki-sama, my subordinate."
Fuguki didn't even look at Ao and spoke in a cold voice.
"Jōnin Ao, this is an order!"
Then, regardless of Ao's reaction, he continued to speak to Kuriarare Kushimaru.
"If anything else, at least bring back her body."
Seeing that the matter was a foregone conclusion, Ao had no choice but to go back immediately to summon Terumi Mei and Momochi Zabuza.
Kaito was feeling a little annoyed at this time. He thought that since Yakushi Nono had not tried to silence him just now, she probably thought that her identity had not been exposed.
Later, Fuguki blocked the camp in time, and maybe they could have detained the other party.
Unexpectedly, not only did Yakushi Nono run away from the camp, but his team was also forced to participate in this uncertain pursuit mission.
"We can only hope that she hasn't escaped from the Land of Whirlpool yet."
