One hour ago.
After being busy all afternoon, Kaito and Furutani Hanako could finally relax a little after sending away another batch of wounded ninjas.
However, one of today's daily tasks happened to be to [Prepare 5 potions], so Kaito could only force himself to walk to the potion table in the corner.
"Kaito, don't you want to take a break?"
Furutani Hanako saw Kaito's actions and seemed a little worried, so she asked gently.
"It's okay, Hanako-senpai. I'll mix a few antidotes and rest. Maybe they'll be useful on the battlefield later."
"Okay, then you take care of yourself and rest. I'll go out and relax."
Seeing that Kaito had already walked to the pharmacy, Furutani Hanako did not try to dissuade him anymore. She lifted the curtain and walked out of the medical tent.
Although there are not as many people using poison on the Konoha battlefield as in the Sunagakure Village, their poison-making levels are relatively much lower.
Besides, there is Orochimaru, an expert in playing with snakes, on the opposite side. Many wounded ninjas were sent back recently because they were accidentally bitten by snakes during the infiltration process.
There are now many kinds of snakes on the border of the Land of Fire.
Those who are unlucky may die on the road after being bitten by a poisonous snake. Those who were sent back are considered lucky as the poisoning was not serious.
"Unfortunately, there are too many types of toxins. The antidote I prepared with my level of skill can only have a suppressive effect on severe poisoning. But it's better than dying on the spot."
Kaito muttered to himself as he prepared antidotes for several toxins he had recently seen on the wounded.
This kind of work is not difficult for Kaito now.
Many of the medicines and military pills that Team Ao is carrying were recently made by Kaito. Today, he happened to be making some antidotes in case of an emergency.
As time passed, Kaito, who had finished preparing the potion, stood up and stretched, looking at the finished product on the table with satisfaction. He did not make just five portions, but made a few more.
"Let's send these medicines back first. It's not a good idea to keep them here."
Kaito thought about it and decided to go back to his team's tent to put down the medicines, take a rest for a while and then decide whether to come back to the medical unit to help later.
However, the resting place of Team Ao was quite far from the medical tent, and it was not convenient to run at full speed in the camp, so Kaito simply walked back slowly with the medicine.
After turning around a tent.
Kaito suddenly saw a figure with blond hair and a ponytail squatting on the ground with its back to him.
"Hey, Hanako-senpai, why are you here?"
The woman squatting on the ground was none other than Furutani Hanako, who had been treating the wounded with Kaito not long ago.
Furutani Hanako heard the question and stood up and turned around. When she saw that it was Kaito, she smiled and said.
"Well, I saw a plant when I passed by here just now. I thought it was a medicinal herb, so I walked closer to observe it, but unfortunately it was just an ordinary weed."
As she spoke, Furutani Hanako raised a small grass in her hand and showed it to Kaito.
"Uh, this looks like a weed, right? Hanako-senpai, you should get a pair of glasses."
Kaito didn't get close, but just took a look from a distance and recognized that it was a weed that could be seen everywhere in the camp.
Furutani Hanako was perhaps a little embarrassed, so she touched her nose and gave a polite smile.
"Well, maybe."
"Then Hanako-senpai, please continue to look for rare herbs. I still have to send the potion I just prepared back to the team."
After saying that, Mirukawa Kaito raised the potion in his hand, turned around slowly and left, continuing to walk towards his team's tent.
But.
After Mirukawa Kaito walked steadily for a distance, his steps gradually became faster and faster, and finally approached the speed of running.
'Shit! Shit! Shit!'
After running for a distance and seeing that there were many other ninjas in the camp around him, Mirukawa Kaito slowed down, bent down and gasped.
At this moment, Mirukawa Kaito's back was completely soaked with cold sweat, and his heart was beating wildly.
Because, just after walking to the tent, Mirukawa Kaito clearly saw a cloud of white smoke burst out in front of Furutani Hanako who was squatting.
At first Mirukawa Kaito didn't realize anything was wrong, but when the other party turned around and looked at him, the "Anticipation" in Mirukawa Kaito's brain began to frantically sound the alarm.
The intensity of it was telling him so directly.
"If you don't leave, you will die!"
Mirukawa Kaito forced himself to hold down his violently heaving chest and recalled everything that had happened before.
"The other party is definitely not looking for some damn herbs. That cloud of smoke is clearly the white smoke of Summoning Jutsu!"
"The other party is passing on information!"
"A spy! A blonde! A gentle woman! A medical ninja! And yes, glasses! Damn glasses!"
"A Wandering Miko! What the hell is Furutani Hanako! Isn't this the fucking Yakushi Nono!! "
The threat of death and the accelerated blood flow caused by the intense running stimulated Mirukawa Kaito's brain to think quickly.
Due to the difference between the anime style in my memory and the real character, and the fact that Yakushi Nono, who is a spy, is not wearing the iconic nun uniform.
In addition, the other party took off her glasses and tied her hair into a ponytail in order to disguise herself.
After so many days of contact, Mirukawa Kaito had never thought of her as a spy or Yakushi Nono.
If I hadn't been trying to remain calm just now, and if the other party hadn't been worried about making too much noise.
Given the strong warning of the "Anticipation" just now, and the difference in strength between myself and the other party, I might have died in that deserted corner.
Mirukawa Kaito took a few deep breaths again and adjusted his expression slightly.
Then, without hesitation, he took out a flare from his ninja tool bag and threw it into the air.
"Bang--"
In an instant, several ninjas who were either chatting or patrolling just now all looked in the direction of Mirukawa Kaito.
"Hey! Kid! What are you doing?"
"Little devil, are you looking for death?"
"Doctor Mirukawa? What are you doing?"
These people had been nearby before, and there had been no attacks around, so they naturally thought that it was the little devil Mirukawa Kaito who was throwing flares around.
Fortunately, someone recognized Mirukawa Kaito's identity and prevented him from being pinned to the ground.
Mirukawa Kaito ignored the noise from the people around him and just stood there quietly.
“Swoosh~swoosh~swoosh~”
Several figures instantly landed on the open space. Among them were senior ninjas in charge of patrolling and high-ranking officials in the camp.
"What happened? Who fired the flare?" a patrolling jonin asked.
Everyone's eyes turned to Mirukawa Kaito, just as the patrolling jonin was about to capture Mirukawa Kaito for questioning.
“Swoosh~”
Two more people came over instantly, they were Ao and Suikazan Fuguki.
"Kaito? What happened?" Ao looked at the student who was surrounded by everyone with some confusion.
"Ao-sensei, I found a spy!"
