🕑 Added 2024-10-02 13:20:01 +0000 UTCChapter 181 Uchiha Madara's surprise, the person who bears the name "Madara"
The Land of Mountains, the Mountain Graveyard.
In a circular pit with a diameter of several hundred meters, the corpse of a huge wild beast was buried, with only a section of white spine exposed.
The Mountain Graveyard is called this name not only because it is the graveyard of some giant beasts, but also because it is like a strange and mysterious "forbidden place".
There are complex and rugged caves everywhere. Anyone who steps into it will get lost. If they are lucky, they can still walk out, but if they are unlucky, they will lose their trace directly.
But the people of the Land of Mountains did not know that in the unknown deepest part of the Mountain Graveyard, which they regarded as a forbidden area, a living room had been built.
It is surrounded by huge tangled trees, and the branches extending from the ground are made into tables, chairs, and beds, as if someone lives here.
In the very center of the room, there stood a wide tree chair several meters high, with a figure sitting there motionless with his head bowed. If it were not for the chest that was still slightly rising and falling, it would have looked like a corpse at first glance.
All that could be seen was a head of messy white hair and a few pipe-like roots connecting to his neck.
The roots extended from the shadow behind him, and if you looked closely you could see the huge red buds.
“Hoo…Hoo…”
At this moment, the figure slowly raised his head and opened his somewhat dazed eyes, and a scarlet light appeared in the darkness.
“Hooha!”
Half of White Zetsu's completely white body stuck out from the wall, looked at the old man sitting on the tree chair, and shouted exaggeratedly: "Lord Madara, Lord Madara! That little devil is so scary, luckily I hid far away..."
“…”
Uchiha Madara ignored it and exhaled deeply, But when he inhaled again, a new damp smell filled his nasal cavity, making him feel his whole body was covered with dampness again while his brain was clear.
"Cough, cough! Cough!"
He coughed hoarsely a few times subconsciously, and feeling the weakness of this old body, a trace of depth and disgust flashed across Madara's eyes.
He hated his current frail, weak, old body.
Now, he is just a lingering and destitute Uchiha ghost.
If that man saw me now, he would definitely point at me and tease me harshly.
After all, he couldn't even dance right now.
"Lord Madara?" White Zetsu, who was originally still complaining, noticed that the old man in front of him was distracted, and cautiously asked, "Are you listening?"
Madara came back to his senses.
First, I felt in my heart that I am really old now, and I always like to be sentimental and miss the people and things in the past.
He slightly opened his scarlet Sharingan, looked at the White Zetsu in front of him and said indifferently: "Have they left?"
White Zetsu originally wanted to complain about the dangers he encountered on this trip, but seeing the cold and serious expression of Lord Madara, he didn't dare to act weird at this time.
"Yeah, those guys are gone."
He could only scratch his head and answered seriously: "Because Lord Madara, you said that the human kid named Tsukimi Sato Kumokawa might have a special ability to discover me, so you asked me to observe from a distance as much as possible, so I was not able to find out much useful things."
"I just saw that after he wiped out all the troops of Takigakure Village, he first returned to Kagero Village to take some people away, then went to the Land of Mountains Daimyo's mansion again, and finally was sent away respectfully by the Daimyo's personal guards..."
"Yeah?"
Listening to White Zetsu's simple narration, Uchiha Madara narrowed his eyes and said with emotion: "Kato Danzo's son also died in his hands."
During this period, due to the deaths of Suikazan Fuguki and several other members of the Seven Ninja Swordsmen, as well as the huge losses caused by the invasion of the Land of Whirlpools, the ninja clans in the Kirigakure Village that had been suppressed by him began to stir again.
After all, the main force for that operation, a large part of which was drawn from the ninja clan by the Third Mizukage under his control, was killed all at once. How could those guys remain indifferent?
However, Madara had anticipated the reactions of these ninjas.
Although he did not expect such a huge loss, the reason he sent the ninjas to invade the Land of Whirlpools was to weaken the power in their hands. Naturally, he would not be caught off guard by those ninjas.
During this period of time, he has been using his clones to control the Third Mizukage to suppress and cleanse those dishonest guys. Now the entire Kirigakure Village may be weaker than before, but it has been completely controlled by him, and that is enough.
He didn't need the Kirigakure Village to be strong. After all, the Land of Water was an island nation made up of many islands. As long as it didn't take the initiative to provoke or attack other big countries, other big countries would not have the leisure to attack the Kirigakure Village.
What he needs is a village that is obedient enough and can provide him with sufficient resources, even if it is a little weak.
However, Madara did not expect that he had not paid attention for a while, and the little kid Tsukimi Sato had inexplicably run to the Land of Mountains.
When White Zetsu told him about his discovery of Tsukimi Sato kumokawa in the Land of Mountains, Madara had to admit that he was indeed frightened at the time and subconsciously thought that the little devil was coming for him.
But he quickly calmed down and realized that this was absolutely impossible.
He made sure his concealment was flawless.
What's more, no one could have imagined that he would fake his death and escape from the battle with Senju Hashirama in the Valley of the End, and it was even more impossible to imagine that this undead named Uchiha Madara could survive until now.
After asking White Zetsu to investigate from a distance of several thousand meters, he found that the facts were exactly as he thought.
However, what surprised Madara was that the little kid actually came to help Kagero Village defeat the Takigakure troops.
What was even more unexpected to him was that the little devil, who only led a few hundred people, actually did it.
Even if he includes those ninjas from Kagero Village who are not good at fighting, there are only more than a thousand of them.
With just over a thousand people, they were able to win against the more than 3,000 people from Takigakure Village.
"What an unexpected brat." Uchiha Madara murmured in a low voice, and deep tone, "In such a short time, he has grown to this level?"
Although he was unable to see any traces of the battle on the scene with his own eyes, but according to White Zetsu's retelling, the slash with a radius of one hundred meters that there was no time to dodge was enough for him to roughly understand the brat's current strength.
Although it is not certain whether that kind of slash can be used multiple times, it does not matter if it can only be used once within a period of time.
In addition, considering that Tsukimi Sato Kumokawa had once killed Musashi and suppressed Hanzo, he is already stronger than the so-called "Konoha White Fang" with a great reputation.
This made Madara feel a little regretful. When Tsukimi Sato Kumokawa contacted Nagato, several White Zetsu were watching the whole process.
But Madara didn't take the son of a noble seriously at that time, so he didn't stop him after receiving the message from White Zetsu.
He even thought of letting the little devil protect Nagato for a while, and then killing the little devil when Nagato adapted to the Rinnegan, so as to further stimulate Nagato to awaken the Rinnegan and summon the Gedo Statue.
But Madara never expected that the kid whom he once looked down upon could have grown to this point.
This not only made his plan fail, but also put him in an extremely embarrassing situation.
Unless he burns up his limited life force and takes action himself, he can only find a way to kill the kid by using another's knife.
So, whose knife should I borrow?
Hanzo? Iwagakure? Sunagakure, Konohagakure?
Uchiha Madara frowned in thought, feeling helpless for a moment.
"Do you want me to monitor their whereabouts?" White Zetsu asked tentatively.
"You brainless idiot, don't you think the situation is bad enough?" Madara raised his eyes, looked at White Zetsu coldly, and said in a cold tone, "The White Zetsu sent to monitor Nagato has already disappeared once. If he is found again, the other party will definitely guess our purpose."
"Then... Lord Madara, what should we do next?" Hearing Madara say this, White Zetsu scratched his head. His head felt a little itchy, as if he needed to grow a brain.
Nagato is Madara's most important chess piece, and no accidents can happen there.
But they really had no choice now and could only watch the chess piece jump out of the board.
Although every White Zetsu has excellent stealth capabilities and only a very small number of special perception ninjas can detect their existence, weak combat capability is the shortcoming of most White Zetsu. Only a special individual like Tobi has relatively strong power.
The reason why they were so calm before was because they were completely in the dark, not easily noticed, and could act in secret.
Once discovered, it would easily alert the human named Tsukimi Sato Kumokawa and make him vigilant.
Judging from his performance, he was obviously not a fool and it was easy for him to know that their target was Nagato, or his Rinnegan.
At that time, it is very likely that they will turn around and investigate Lord Madara's background.
That would not be good.
"So I need someone to step up for me now."
Uchiha Madara looked up at the White Zetsu who was swaying like a pitcher plant in front of him, frowned and asked: "Have you found the person I asked you to look for?"
Hearing this, White Zetsu's shaky figure instantly straightened up, and he said in an excited tone: "Lord Madara, you finally asked me. To be honest, that guy Tobi did find a candidate who meets your requirements!"
It is so difficult to find someone who meets Madara-sama's requirements in Konoha!
Compared with other villages, the difficulty of infiltrating Konoha is undoubtedly the most difficult among all ninja villages.
The perception barrier surrounding the entire village can see through entities. Even with White Zetsu's stealth ability, it is difficult to do so without alerting anyone.
It was also thanks to the attack on Konoha by the Sky Legion that Konoha's defenses were slack, allowing Tobi to invade safely.
Tobi's goal is very clear, which is to collect intelligence in the Uchiha clan's territory and find the so-called "agent".
As for what kind of personality and talent requirements the "agent" needs, everything needs to be decided by their "Lord Madara".
The age must not be too old, it is best to be between a few years old and a teenager, so that it is easier to control.
Therefore, most of the Uchiha clan members who were under their close surveillance were young ninjas in their teens or children attending ninja schools.
As a White Zetsu, Tobi has long been adept at collecting intelligence. Even though Konoha is the most difficult to infiltrate, as long as they are given enough time, they can successfully operate the intelligence channel.
However, during this period, Tobi searched the entire ninja school and the Uchiha clan territory, but was unable to find an Uchiha clan member who met Lord Madara's requirements.
In the end, the orphan named "Uchiha Shinji" was chosen.
"Orphan?"
Madara, who had not held out hope, was a little surprised when he heard this. He hesitated for a moment and said, "Okay, then I'll go and see the person you picked myself."
As soon as he finished speaking, under the gloating gaze of the White Zetsu, another ordinary White Zetsu was summoned out from underground.
When it came to his side, Uchiha Madara raised his scarlet eyes, patted his wrinkled palm on its shoulder, and the three Tomoe in his Sharingan rotated, and he said in a deep voice: "Limbo: Border Jail!"
The cold and sinister power gushed out from the pair of Sharingans, and the white roots inserted behind Uchiha Madara were surging, sending a stream of chakra belonging to him into White Zetsu's body.
"Ah!!"
As the White Zetsu howled in pain and fear, its appearance gradually changed into that of Madara.
After a moment, the "Uchiha Madara" opened his eyes, lowered his head and clenched his palms, frowned in dissatisfaction and said: "This White Zetsu can't even withstand 10% of my chakra."
Although the technique he used looked very similar to White Zetsu's transformation technique, it was actually a secret technique called "Limbo: Border Jail".
This is the ability he learned after awakening the Rinnegan. He can divide the chakra among the sacrifice and create an exquisite "same body" that is 100% identical to the original body in appearance and can use the original body's abilities. The ninjutsu cast by the sacrifice is exactly the same as the original body, and even the weapons and ninja tools possessed by the original body can be imitated.
The strength of the same entity is determined by the amount of chakra allocated. When the chakra of the living sacrifice is exhausted, the ninjutsu will be automatically released and the sacrifice will die immediately.
It is with the help of this technique that Madara can remotely control the Third Mizukage even though his real body is in the Land of Mountains.
However, the "same body" in the Kirigakure Village was created by possessing a special White Zetsu. Neither its duration nor its strength could be compared to the White Zetsu in front of it.
"But, it's enough." Madara's true form retracted his palm, looked at himself in front of him, and said indifferently, "Go, go to Konoha and see for yourself whether the person chosen by Tobi is qualified to continue to carry out my plan while bearing my name."
