Mirukawa Kaito got up early and looked at the calendar.
He suddenly discovered that the day before yesterday was the day of the Ninja School graduation exam.
But recently, his life has been very regular, so he didn't pay much attention to the date. And it has been more than three months since he left the Ninja School, so he didn't pay much attention to the graduation exam.
This date was marked when Kaito had just transmigrated here. At that time, he was really counting the days to live. It felt like a countdown to the college entrance examination.
Thinking of this, Kaito couldn't help but smile.
"But now that the graduation exams are over, Zabuza should have officially debuted, right?"
All kinds of messy thoughts were surging in his mind. While eating breakfast, Kaito was thinking about whether he should go to the Ninja Registration Office to inquire about the arrangements for his team.
"Blue, do you think I will be assigned to form a team with Zabuza, or will there be a clan ninja who happens to become a Genin to form a team?"
"o.o呱~"
The little frog that was still sleepy didn't hear clearly what his master said and responded subconsciously.
However, Kaito was just chatting about a random topic during the meal and didn't really expect any response.
After dinner, Kaito, who had just arrived at the hospital to work, was called to the office by Nakamura Keiko.
"Kaito, the village has already made arrangements for you. I heard that the Jōnin will lead the team."
As soon as Kaito entered the door, he heard good news.
Normally, there are too many Genin graduating each year, and ordinary teams are led by Chūnin. It seems that he has to thank Zabuza.
However, looking at Nakamura Keiko's expression, it didn't look like she was telling good news. Instead, she looked worried.
When Kaito saw this, he immediately had some guesses in his mind.
Sure enough, Nakamura Keiko briefly explained what happened in yesterday's graduation exam.
"That Momochi Zabuza will be in the same team with you, so you should pay more attention to yourself."
"Don't worry, Aunt Keiko."
Kaito gave Nakamura Keiko a reassuring look.
"I believe you. Get ready in the morning and report to training ground number nine in the afternoon."
In the morning, he went to say goodbye to Hoshigaki Kisame who was still in the hospital. At noon, he had lunch with Nakamura Keiko. Then, Kaito came to the No. 9 training ground with some nervousness.
Unlike the No. 11 training ground that he often went to before, the No. 9 training ground is not big, but its facilities are more complete, with lakes, woods, rockery and everything else.
As soon as Kaito entered the training ground, he found that three people, one adult and two children, had been waiting for him in the training ground for who knows how long.
What’s even more interesting is that all three of them are acquaintances.
"Sorry, Sensei, I'm late."
Kaito expressed his apologies to Ao, who had not transplanted Byakugan yet and has both eyes intact.
Terumī Mei, who was standing by, was not at all reserved when she saw Kaito coming. Instead, she made a face at him and motioned him to look to the left.
Zabuza on the left also had no expression.
Uh, or rather, no expression can be seen because the lower half of his face is wrapped in bandages, and now all that can be seen is the indifference in his eyes.
At this moment, Momochi Zabuza is already looking very close to his future self.
The forehead guard was tilted on the side, with the bandage hanging down from the right side. White bandages were wrapped around his neck and the lower half of his face. He was wearing the same sleeveless shirt as he would wear in the future, but the one on his back was not an Executioner's Blade, but an ordinary short sword, which was just right for Zabuza's current height.
When Ao heard Kaito's greeting, he did not show any displeasure, but spoke gently.
"You're not late. Terumī Mei and I took Momochi Zabuza to register as ninjas this morning, so we came together."
"Okay, now that everyone is here and we're going to be carrying out missions together, let's introduce ourselves first." Ao clapped his hands, signaling the three to pay attention.
Seeing that the three people were looking at him, Ao simply took the lead in introducing himself.
"My name is Ao, and I will be your Jōnin Sensei from now on. I am good at water style ninjutsu, wind style ninjutsu, and perception ninjutsu, and I don't like people who don't follow the rules." (Perception = Sensory)
After saying that, Ao looked at the three people who all looked indifferent and no one seemed to want to speak first. He already had a premonition that this team would be a bit difficult to lead in the future.
At this time, the still young Ao couldn't stand the awkward silence and had to frequently wink at Mei.
However, Mei's attention was completely focused on Mirukawa Kaito and Momochi Zabuza at this time, and she didn't notice her sensei's embarrassment at all.
Seeing that Ao was about to roll his eyes in advance, Kaito, who had wanted to wait for Ao's old subordinate Terumi Mei to speak first, still spoke decisively to end the awkward atmosphere.
"My name is Mirukawa Kaito. I am good at water style ninjutsu and medical ninjutsu. I like the feeling of increasing my strength and hate all dangers. My dream is to live happily until I die."
"What? This kind of dream is unacceptable no matter how many times I hear it!"
Mei, who was standing by, had obviously not said anything to Ao who was in a state of awkward silence before, but now she couldn't help but complain.
After complaining about Kaito, as if to prove what she just said, She also began to introduce herself.
"My name is Terumī Mei. I'm a year older than you two, and I'm a senior who has been a Genin for a year."
Having said this, Mei paused briefly.
But seeing that neither Kaito nor Zabuza reacted, she had no choice but to continue talking.
"I am good at water style ninjutsu and earth style ninjutsu. I don't want to tell you what I like, but my dream is to become a Mizukage!"
Looking at Mei who was looking up at him with her little neck tilted back, Kaito cooperated by giving her a thumbs up.
Finally, facing the gazes of the other three people, Zabuza finally couldn't hold it anymore and spoke.
"Momochi Zabuza is good at Taijutsu, Kenjutsu, and Water Style Ninjutsu."
However, what Zabuza said seemed a bit forced. He didn't know whether he was good at water style ninjutsu since he could use Water Style: Water Dragon Jutsu, a B-rank ninjutsu.
‘Wow, a team of four is made up of all water-style ninjas. Is it true that except for the protagonist's Konohagakure Village, all other villages are of a single attribute?’
Kaito complained silently in his heart.
‘But Terumī Mei said she is good at water style ninjutsu and earth style ninjutsu, has she not yet developed her own bloodline limit? In the future, she will become a double Bloodline Limit owner, which can only be said to be worthy of being a genius.’
On the other side, seeing that Zabuza only said this little bit and then fell silent, Ao had no choice but to ask, "What about the dream?"
"Dream. Change this village."
Zabuza looked a little confused when he said this.
Several people present noticed this, but no one said anything more on the topic.
Ao thought for a moment and said.
"Although everyone has already introduced themselves verbally, the main purpose of gathering at the training ground today is to allow everyone to get to know their future teammates better through actual combat.”
"Mei, you, Zabuza, and Kaito will be the attackers and I will be the defender. I will give you three minutes to come up with a strategy."
Before the three kids could ask any more questions, Ao moved instantly and rushed into the woods in the training ground without looking back.
Looking at Ao's agile back, the three people who had not yet fully reacted looked at each other with frowns on their faces.
Kaito looked at Mei speechlessly and asked.
"Ao-sensei, has he always led the team in this efficient style?"
Although Zabuza's face under the bandage was still expressionless, he looked at Mei with a hint of doubt in his eyes.
Mei raised her hand to her forehead, feeling a little embarrassed, but she still changed the subject.
"Just follow orders and make a plan first. Although Ao-sensei has played very little role in the missions over the past year, I still have some intelligence to share."
