After leaving the training ground, Mirukawa Kaito made an appointment with Nakamura Keiko to have lunch near his home at noon.
He decided to go back home and pack up before going to the appointment.
On the way, he recalled the 'ninjutsu test' with Terumi Mei in the morning.
Although he used the Water Shuriken to penetrate Mei's Water Formation Wall, he did not feel complacent.
First of all, that Water Shuriken almost used up more than half of his chakra.
And no one knew how long Mei had been practicing before she came to find him, so much so that her chakra was only enough to release the Water Formation Wall for the last time.
Secondly, Mei is still practicing the Water Formation Wall ninjutsu.
However, his own Water Shuriken was instilled in him by the system and he had mastered it.
The most important thing is that Mei is now just a Genin of the same age as himself.
"Sigh, my strength still needs to be improved."
Just as Kaito walked to the door of the barbecue restaurant and was about to step in, he saw two people walking towards him.
He just happened to know one of them, Kaito, or rather, he knew both of them, but he knew one of them from watching anime in his previous life.
The two people who came were Momochi Zabuza and Karatachi Yagura.
In fact, because today is Sunday and Yagura didn't have any missions, he gave Zabuza some special training nearby in the morning.
Coincidentally, the place for lunch is also here.
Zabuza recognized Kaito who was about to enter the door at a glance.
After all, he was an imaginary enemy before, and then inexplicably became a medical ninja. Zabuza had a deep impression of Kaito.
However, later on, Zabuza specifically asked Yagura if it was possible that Kaito knew about his plan.
After a brief investigation, Yagura said it was probably just a coincidence, and Zabuza never paid any attention to this person again.
He didn't expect to meet him here again today.
However, given Zabuza's personality, he would not say hello to Kaito or anything like that.
His gaze only lingered for a moment on the ninja forehead guard on Kaito's left arm before he passed by and walked out of the store.
"That young man just now is the Mirukawa Kaito you mentioned before, right?"
Yagura, who also walked out of the store, asked casually.
Obviously he noticed Zabuza's little movements, and combined with his appearance, it was not difficult to guess who this was.
"Not important, just an insignificant person."
Although Zabuza said so, Yagura still kept Kaito in his heart.
Kaito knew Zabuza's character, so he naturally didn't take his disregard to heart.
He is just a little curious as to why Zabuza is here with Yagura.
But it doesn’t matter anymore. He has become a Genin now, and the graduation exam of the Ninja School is destined to be an insignificant matter to him.
After walking a few steps into the store, Kaito saw a blue-haired figure waiting there.
"Aunt Keiko, long time no see."
When seeing Kaito greeting her, Nakamura Keiko also raised her head and smiled faintly.
"Yes, the village has been quite busy lately, and I haven't even congratulated you on becoming a Genin yet."
Kaito had long been accustomed to this kind of tone of voice that was somewhat like coaxing a child, and he just responded with a subconscious smile.
"Aunt Keiko is the dean, so she must have a lot of things to do."
"You haven't been assigned a team to intern in the hospital yet, are you used to it?" asked Nakamura Keiko.
"It's not bad. It's much easier than the previous medical ninja training. And I've been learning the 'Delicate Illness Extraction jutsu' recently."
As an elder, Nakamura Keiko's concern for Kaito came naturally from all aspects. The two of them ate and talked, and it was basically Nakamura Keiko who asked the questions and Kaito who answered.
From the previous training on the island to how life has been recently, time passed by gradually with questions and answers.
It was not until Kaito saw that they had almost finished eating that he suddenly asked.
"Aunt Keiko, is there going to be a war soon?"
Upon hearing this, Nakamura Keiko was stunned for a moment and looked at the familiar face of Kaito.
Although the Kirigakure Village did not participate in the last Great Ninja War, this child's parents died in the mission because of the war.
Now the village has issued a notice that a new war is about to begin.
As one of the first batch of medical ninjas piloted by the village, Kaito will inevitably participate in the war.
‘I don't know whether it's right or wrong to make him a medical ninja.’
Nakamura Keiko thought silently in her heart.
Seeing that Nakamura Keiko fell silent, Kaito did not rush to ask further questions.
After all, he already knew that the Land of Water would definitely participate in the war this time, and he asked the question only to take the opportunity to understand the current developments of the village.
As the director of the Kirigakure Hospital, even though Nakamura Keiko is not a senior member of the village, if the village is ready to intervene in the war, she will definitely make arrangements for medical personnel.
Kaito's guess was not wrong. Nakamura Keiko had recently received a notice from the village and was busy with preparations for the war.
She did not hide anything about this, but for the first time she treated Kaito as an adult and spoke directly to him.
"Yes, the war will come soon, and the village is already communicating with the Daimyo-sama."
After a brief pause, Nakamura Keiko continued.
"The Land of Fire and the Land of Wind have already gone to war, and the Land of Earth has also issued a statement to the Land of Fire. Currently, only we and the Land of Lightning are still waiting and watching. However, the voices in the village for joining the war are basically one-sided."
Kaito had anticipated this and simply responded to Nakamura Keiko.
"Thank you Aunt Keiko, I will make some preparations."
"Kaito, I want you to remember that you are not only a ninja, but also a very talented doctor. No matter what happens, you must keep yourself safe."
Nakamura Keiko stared into Kaito's eyes and said with a serious expression.
As an ordinary person, she could not interfere with the village's mission arrangements for the ninjas, and could only remind Kaito to be careful in this way.
"I know, Aunt Keiko. I'm most afraid of death!"
Kaito answered with a smile on his face but a firm tone.
"I am a man who will live to the end!"
So the two of them returned to the hospital together after dinner.
On the other side, Mei, who had been training with Kaito in the morning, was also discussing the upcoming war with others.
"Ao-sensei, if the village joins the war, will you still lead our team?"
The flat-faced girl looked at her Jōnin Sensei with a worried look on her face.
"It should be possible. Even if a war really breaks out, the village will not easily break up a team that cooperates well."
Ao didn't take Terumi Mei's worries too seriously.
As a relatively young Jōnin in the village, Ao is not an important fighting force that requires special mobilization at this moment.
In this case, they usually accept war missions in the form of small teams.
"But those two idiots, Goda and Kugawa, were badly injured again. If the village sends us a mission..."
Seeing that his most valued disciple was still worried, Ao had no choice but to change the subject.
"You just said that the Genin who trained with you this morning used a ninjutsu that you had never seen before to break through your Water Formation Wall Jutsu?"
When talking about this matter, Mei's attention was immediately diverted and she said with an indignant look on her face.
"Last time when those two idiots, Goda and Kugawa, were injured, we saw that guy when we went to the hospital. He said he was a medical ninja. I didn't see any medical ninjutsu, but his water jutsu attack was terrifyingly powerful."
Ao also remembered the black-haired boy at this moment. After all, Kaito's handsome face was still very memorable.
But he didn't expect that he was also the medical ninja that the village had recently started to promote.
Ao was also aroused with a hint of curiosity, and then asked.
"What's his name?"
"His name is Mirukawa Kaito. It doesn't sound like the name of a medical ninja!”
