Tick…tick……
It was like the sound of water drops falling, which should have been insignificant, but at this moment it seemed particularly heavy.
"Huh!"
The blue-haired Taki-nin took a sharp breath, opened his eyes and saw darkness, and the memories deep in his soul were in chaos.
Who am I? Where is this? Is this hell? Why am I here? Am I dead?
He tried to recall, but it was like holding fine sand in his hands.
I had clearly grasped some memories, but they kept falling through my fingers, and when I opened my hands, there was nothing left. This feeling was simply maddening.
But soon, he noticed something slowly rolling down from mid-air. Before he could dodge, it changed in irregular shapes and finally landed on his forehead.
Click.
The blue-haired Taki-nin subconsciously raised his hand and touched his forehead, and the liquid flowed down his cheek.
Warm and sticky.
Is this blood?
"That little brat..."
The blue-haired Taki-nin opened his mouth slightly and made a sound from the depths of his soul.
And his consciousness finally began to return, and countless chaotic memories flooded into his mind, reminding him of his identity and everything.
Yes, I am not dead, I am still alive. I used the secret technique of the soul and entered the body of that little demon!
Those memories emerged from the water as the ice melted, and the feeling made him feel joy from the bottom of his soul.
But soon, he remembered the last smile and the slap on his soul, a slap that made his soul feel cold to the bone.
"No, that's not right. How is that possible?"
The blue-haired Taki-nin tried to open his eyes wide. His thinking logic recovered a little. His soul stood there trembling slightly and said, "Was it that brat who forcibly sent me into his spiritual space?"
He had never heard of or seen such a thing.
How can a human with flesh and blood possibly touch a soul? !
Tick…tick…
Just when the blue-haired Taki-nin's thoughts were in a mess, that clear and heavy voice sounded again.
This also brought him back to his senses.
Listening to the sounds coming from afar, even though he had clearly lost his body, he still licked his lips, feeling fear and weirdness.
Although no one was in sight, the heavy pressure, like a flood, had already surged over his chest and made him feel uneasy and suffocated.
"No, I have to leave quickly."
The blue-haired Taki-nin breathed rapidly and shook his head, shaking off the inexplicable fear that had arisen.
No matter how abnormal the current situation is, he can't stay here any longer. He must find the soul of that little demon and defeat it before he can leave this haunted place.
Thinking of this, the blue-haired Taki-nin looked in front of him. In the darkness, the stairs were looming. Then he took a step forward stiffly.
A feeling of blockage made his steps heavy and slow. Only then did he realize that he seemed to be wading through something, and his calves were submerged in the hot and sticky liquid.
"..." Realizing this, the blue-haired Taki-nin's expression became extremely stiff.
Of course he knew what it was.
But he didn't dare to think about it, so he could only swallow his saliva, walk up the "water", and his steps became cautious.
All that could be heard were heavy footsteps and crisp ticking sounds.
It was not until he climbed the last step that the scarlet color swallowed up the darkness and instantly occupied his entire vision.
Yes.
He was immersed in a sea of blood. Even though the darkness in front of his eyes was no longer there, he still could not see the edge of the sea of blood. He could only feel that he was facing a vast and boundless ocean of blood.
In the distance, there is a huge gate with a hideous shape. It looks like a terrifying giant mouth that wants to devour the flesh and blood of those who come. A gloomy and terrifying yet majestic and magnificent ancient palace is vaguely visible behind the gate.
"What is this?"
Looking at the scene in front of him, the blue-haired Taki-nin's heart suddenly sank, and he wondered inwardly in doubt: "Why is that kid's mental space in this state?!"
For him who has mastered the secret art of the soul, mental invasion is his forte.
Since he learned the secret art of the soul, he has forgotten how many people's spiritual spaces he has entered.
A person's spiritual space is determined by many factors, and its appearance can reflect his or her personality, spirit, memory, etc.
Some are plains under bright sunshine, some are graves under the blood-red moon, some are dark and damp sewers, and some are countless mirrors...
But he had never seen such a vast and boundless sea of blood and gloomy palace before him!
Horror, desolation, deathly silence, bloodiness, majesty...
This is how the blue-haired Taki-nin feels about this spiritual space.
How could a little demon have such a strange mental space?
"Is it a transformation technique?"
The blue-haired Taki-nin subconsciously had this thought, but quickly shook his head to deny the idea.
It's impossible. With his perception ability in the soul state, it is impossible for him not to recognize the transformation technique.
Crack! Crack!
At this moment, a heavy and deep sound was heard.
The blue-haired Taki-nin came to his senses and looked up in surprise, then saw the huge gate that looked like a ferocious demon with its mouth open.
Tick.
A drop of blood fell on the calm sea of blood, creating ripples, and a bloody and dead smell rushed towards him.
Everything in front of him was originally black and red, but now it has a pale color.
There were countless bones piled up into a horrifying mountain of corpses.
"Welcome here, uninvited evil guest."
On top of the pile of white bones, a man in a white robe and a white mask supported his chin with one hand, looking down at the blue-haired Taki-nin from above, and said indifferently.
The blue-haired Taki-nin's spirit suddenly froze.
Being stared at by those scarlet eyes, he felt his soul piercing.
"You, you are that little devil? No, it's impossible!"
Looking up at the figure on the pile of corpses, the blue-haired Taki-nin felt that the scene before his eyes was so absurd, and asked in fear: "Who are you?"
"I don't know what the words mean. I am who I am. As for you..."
The man looked down at the blue-haired Taki-nin, raised his arm from his lap, pointed his index finger at him, and smiled slightly, "Your dirty soul may give me some surprises."
As he spoke, a violent crimson aura slowly lingered around his body, and his originally pure white robe gradually turned blood red.
Gudu! Gudu!!
The sea of blood under his feet suddenly boiled, making the blue-haired Taki-nin feel uncontrollable palpitations and fear.
The next moment, under his horrified gaze, the sea of blood that had originally only submerged his ankles gradually climbed up his calves, thighs, and even his entire lower body.
The sea of blood spread wildly, and the foul-smelling wind blew on the blue-haired Taki-nin's face, bringing a bone-chilling chill.
Crack!
Crack! Crack!
Wherever the sea of blood went, it was like squeezing juice and mincing meat, squeezing out all the "flesh" and "bones" of the blue-haired Taki-nin.
The blood mist surrounding him turned into rain, washing over his spirit, absorbing his "blood", squeezing his mind, and shattering his rationality.
Just like an invisible hand was wringing out a wet towel, white particles were squeezed out, making his spirit body shriveled.
“Ahhhh!!”
The tearing feeling of the twisted soul instantly filled the blue-haired Taki-nin, causing him to scream miserably. He twisted and squirmed on the ground like a worm, screaming, "Why? Why! What on earth is this?!"
At this moment, near Kagero Village, looking down from above, a circular gully with a radius of one hundred meters appeared in the entire jungle, and all the thick trees were cut in half and fell down.
“Pheeew!"
Kumokawa exhaled, slowly opened his eyes, and a smile appeared on his face: "The structure of the spirit body, the hollow, the emptiness inside, I see, this way, there will be no problem..."
After saying that, he looked at Yahiko who was lying on the ground in the distance, staring blankly at this side, and said: "What are you doing? Let's go and take them home."
Hearing this, Yahiko suddenly came back to his senses and asked in confusion, "Them?"
————————
At the same time, in the northwest of the land of Rain, in the Iwagakure Village.
It is surrounded by mountains and hills on all sides and has a top-secret fortress that is as dangerous as a natural barrier, forming a natural barrier for the Iwagakure Village.
At first glance, the buildings in the village are mainly made of rock and are dark gray in color.
At this moment, in the Iwagakure Village Hospital, bursts of wailing could be heard.
"Ouch, my waist! Be gentle! Be gentle! Ah!"
"Tsuchikage-sama, please be strong! It will be fine soon!"
On the hospital bed, several nurses were holding down the limbs of a short old man, and a big head nurse was pressing on his back and waist.
"It's easy for you to say that, this old man... Ouch!!"
Snap!
As a crisp sound rang out, the short old man who had buried his face in the pillow suddenly raised his head and let out a howl mixed with pain and comfort.
"Alright."
The head nurse clapped her hands very skillfully, looked at the old man lying on the bed, smiled helplessly and said in a resentful tone: "Tsuchikage-sama, please stop moving."
"Your back injury from the last sprain hasn't healed yet. I asked you to rest in the hospital, but you refused. I told you to go back and take good care of yourself. But you sprained it again just a few days later. You really don't take good care of your body."
If she hadn't said it, no one would have believed that this old man lying on the bed, feeling very sour and groaning, was the third Tsuchikage of the Iwagakure Village in the Land of Earth.
As the grandson of the first Tsuchikage and the direct disciple of the second Tsuchikage, his strength can be said to be quite powerful. He enjoys the title of "Onoki of the Both Scales". Not only is he proficient in earth release ninjutsu, but he can also use the Bloodline Selection(Kekkei tōta) "Dust Release" which is superior to the bloodline limit(kekkei genkai).
Unfortunately, even he could not escape the erosion of time.
There have been too many changes in the ninja world recently. I have been handling important matters in the Tsuchikage's office. After sitting for a long time, I subconsciously stretched my waist, and as a result, I sprained my waist with a crack.
This was the first time in his life that he was hospitalized for such a ridiculous reason.
"What do you little girls know?"
Feeling that his dignity was damaged, Onoki wrinkled his big red nose, straightened his body and shouted in dissatisfaction: "Old man... I am less than 50 years old this year, in the prime of my life, this little injury is not worth mentioning at all!"
"Iwagakure Village can't do anything without me! You guys... Ouch!"
Ōnoki was still grumbling loudly, but the burly head nurse ignored him and simply used a board to fix his waist, causing the old man to wail again.
"Yes, yes, Lord Tsuchikage. Everyone in the entire Iwagakure Village knows that you are our pillar."
The head nurse curled her lips, turned the old man over, and warned him, "But you must take care of your body. You have too many hidden injuries that cannot be cured. It doesn't matter if you mess with them when you are young, but as you get older, they will gradually appear."
"If you sprain your waist again, this problem will always follow you, and it will have a great negative impact on your life and combat."
Onoki groaned in dissatisfaction, but he stopped being stubborn and lay obediently on the bed, saying impatiently: "I know, I know. You are doctors, I will listen to you. If there is nothing else important, I will rest in the hospital for a while."
"Yeah, this is a good and obedient patient."
The head nurse nodded in satisfaction, then easily picked up Onoki and grinned, "Tsuchikage-sama, I'll take you to the bathroom."
"Wait, wait a minute! I don't want to go to the bathroom now!" Onoki's face changed, and he said in horror, "Put me down, even if I want to go to the bathroom, I can still go by myself!"
"Be obedient, Tsuchikage-sama, you can't move now."
"No no, I can use ninjutsu! Do you know the Light-Weight Rock Technique? I can fly!"
"I'm not a ninja, I don't know anything about Light-Weight Rock Technique."
Ōnoki's face turned pale and his expression was terrified, he was struggling to break free from the head nurse's clutches.
knock knock.
There was a heavy knock on the door, and the head nurse subconsciously stopped. Onoki breathed a sigh of relief and quickly said, "Come in!"
Although she seemed to have little respect for Onoki, that was only out of the doctor's concern for the patient, so the head nurse naturally knew her limits.
Knowing that the Third Tsuchikage's subordinates were coming in, she sighed and placed Ōnoki on the bed.
At the same time, a very burly figure walked in. He accidentally bumped his head against the door frame when he entered. He rubbed his head and looked at Onoki on the bed, and said in a muffled voice: "Father, how is your health?"
The man wore a red ninja hat, a red tight combat uniform, and brown Jonin vest on the outside. He was very tall and strong, and his big nose was exactly the same as Onoki's.
It was none other than the Third Tsuchikage, Ōnoki’s son, Kitsuchi.
