"Damn it! Damn it! Aaaaah! How many explosive tags do they have?!"
Even the black-haired Taki-nin, who had a lot of experience in leading a team, couldn't help pacing back and forth and yelling: "Are those bastards just going to hide in there and not come out?!"
Looking at his extremely anxious and restless companions, the blue-haired Taki-nin said with an unpleasant expression: "Now we either have to use human lives to fill the gap, or we can only starve to death..."
"Just shut up!"
Before he could finish his words, the black-haired Taki-nin suddenly raised his head, looked at him with a ferocious expression, and said hatefully: "Isn't it you, an idiot, who disregarded orders and alarmed those guys in Kagero Village just to avenge your own personal grudge?!"
"Those guys are weak and vulnerable. They simply don't have the ability to confront us head-on. If it weren't for your stupid behavior, I would have already rushed in and killed them all!"
"No matter whether this operation is successful or not, I will report the truth to Lord Puyan after returning to the village. You will bear the losses caused this time!"
Being yelled at and threatened by a guy of the same level, the blue-haired Taki-nin's face darkened and he was angry, but because the first command was in the hands of this guy, he had to suppress the anger and resentment in his heart.
"As you wish!" the blue-haired Taki-nin said solemnly, "But you should know that Kagero Village's defenses are so complete that it is impossible for them to be set up after I was exposed. They must have noticed our tracks long ago!"
Hearing this, the black-haired Taki-nin calmed down a lot and realized that the idiot was right.
He looked intently at the dense jungle in the distance, which was littered with corpses. Because of the long-range bombing by explosive tags, only broken bodies could be seen on the charred ground.
The commotion here had already alarmed most of the Land of Mountain, but no one dared to come over to take a look, and the wild beasts that were very sensitive to danger had already fled.
Most of the Taki ninjas' faces were smoked black. They looked extremely miserable.
Kagero Village is located in a deep pit that is almost a column and is nearly a hundred meters deep.
The area within a radius of one kilometer around the pit is covered with tall and dense trees, and all kinds of sinister explosive traps are set up by the ninjas of Kagero Village.
Not to mention the Takigakure ninjas who wanted to break through this line of defense, even if a rat entered the minefield it would be blown to ashes.
They obviously didn't know that "Yoru" had already triggered the trap long before them. Hotaka, the leader of Kagero Village, only realized that the enemy had sneaked in and set up a defense line in advance.
However, if there are only traps, it is actually not a big problem. At worst, you can just use ninjutsu to force a way out.
But the most frustrating thing was that Kagero Village did not intend to give them a chance to advance!
The black-haired Taki-nin and the blue-haired Taki-nin organized several tentative attacks from several places, but they were all forcibly repelled by Kagero Village's flawless defense.
In just a few hours, the attack from Kagero Village was extremely decisive and brutal.
Once they were discovered trying to enter the minefield, kunai equipped with explosive tags would be fired at them. The sound of piercing screams and explosions was endless, and at least nearly ten thousand explosive tags were consumed.
This attitude of trying to keep them out at all costs made thousands of Takigakure ninjas feel both headache and pain.
Those guys in Kagero Village are such spendthrifts!
Don't they have enough explosive tags? !
"Wait! Those guys are coming again!"
As if sensing something, the blue-haired Taki-nin's expression changed and he shouted sternly, "Retreat! Quickly! Retreat! Those damned demons are coming again!"
As soon as the words fell, the teams that were advancing in groups of three all felt a chill in their hearts and turned around and fled without hesitation. At the same time, a group of black shadows running on all fours like wild beasts attacked from the depths of the jungle.
"Hahaha!"
"Bomb, bomb, bomb! Bomb them to death!!"
"I've never fought such a rich battle in my life!"
"Asa, don't forget to pick up my head later!"
With the roars of brutal and ferocious laughter, the Taki-nin teams were caught up in the blink of an eye.
Behind them was a group of hideous faces that didn't look like living people. The limbs of those guys had been completely transformed into claws. The sharp claws allowed them to walk on such bumpy ground as if it were flat ground.
This dense jungle became their weapon. They swooped down from the trees and opened their arms to embrace the Takigakure ninjas who had their backs to them. They looked as enthusiastic as old friends meeting each other.
But the premise is that you ignore the bone spurs protruding from the skin on their arms and the several explosive tags stuck on their bodies!
Once you are held in this extremely hot embrace, it is equivalent to being locked in a cage full of spikes, and then being blown to pieces by the explosive tag!
In this situation, you can only dodge, whether it is beheading or breaking limbs, those monsters will hold the Takigakure ninjas tightly at all costs.
This was a suicide attack!
Silly, but useful.
The extremely brutal murderous intent and hideous smile made these Takigakure ninjas afraid.
They wanted to escape, but the monsters swooped down very quickly, their four legs kicking on the trees like springs that were stretched and released, completely turning into demonly black shadows, so fast that most Taki ninjas had difficulty reacting.
The next moment, those desperate faces were reflected in the blue-haired Taki-nin's tightened eyes.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
Black flowers of death mixed with brilliant flames continued to bloom, and the numbing explosions resounded throughout the surrounding area.
A bunch of explosive tags exploded at the same time, causing the surrounding ground to tremble slightly. The huge sound waves created by the continuous explosions even shattered the ground.
When the dust and buzzing gradually dissipated, screams, wails and hideous grins came into their ears.
Several dark figures with tattered robes and mutilated bodies gradually emerged.
That was a group of "demons" that came closely behind them. They were not only picking up those unlucky compatriots whose heads were blown off and who had lost the ability to move, but also cleaning up those Takigakure ninjas who were groaning and wailing and luckily survived.
"Hahaha! That's right, don't leave anyone behind!"
"Asshole Asa! Stop pulling my hair!"
At the same time, even though the bodies were gone, the heads that those guys were holding in their hands and arms were still clamoring.
“Damn it! Damn it!!”
Seeing this scene, the black-haired Taki-nin was so angry that his lungs almost exploded. He roared: "Kill those demons! Destroy their brains! Destroy their brains!"
"Water Release: Water Dragon Technique!"
"Water Release: Water Whip!"
"Water Release: Water Blade!"
Several Taki-ninjas chased after them and quickly formed seals with their hands. They stared at the backs of the monsters with hatred mixed with a little fear, and the chakra in their bodies began to surge.
But in the next moment, a sharp whistling sound was heard, and two dark red blade lights drew two planes in the air.
Sun Breathing: Third Form: Raging Sun!
Puff! Puff!
On the narrow path, the Takigakure ninjas were still running and making hand seals one second ago, and the next second, they fell to the ground without any warning.
Several heads fell to the ground like bowling balls, making a crisp sound like watermelons falling to the ground. They rolled along the track of blood and hit the tree trunks with a dull sound.
A large amount of blood flowed out from the necks of several headless corpses like a fountain.
In the middle of the corpses, Yahiko swung the blazing sword in his hand, and a crescent-shaped blood drop splashed on the ground.
The "demons" behind him didn't even turn their heads, and tacitly took this opportunity to escape.
"Phewww……"
White mist came out of Yahiko's mouth and merged into Taki-nin's blood rain.
Looking at those "demons" who were extremely unlucky and had their heads blown off, the corners of his eyes couldn't help but twitch, and a hint of coldness flashed in his eyes.
Kumokawa and Nagato handed him the command of hundreds of "demons", but the recovery ability of these "demons" was limited. Facing the larger and stronger Takigakure ninjas, casualties would still be inevitable!
This is undoubtedly a huge shock to Yahiko today.
This is the real war. He must adapt, adapt to the cruel reality, adapt to more sacrifices, adapt to the pain in his heart, and understand that he is not strong enough, just a little stronger than an ordinary "demon". Now he cannot save everyone.
Therefore, he had to become stronger until he could save everyone.
The flames of war not only transformed the demons, but also Yahiko.
The power of the five major countries is far stronger than that of Takigakure. Only by constantly growing in the war can we avoid being defeated when facing the troops of the five major countries in the future.
Thinking of this, Yahiko looked at the black-haired Taki-nin, tilted his head with fighting spirit in his eyes, and the meaning was self-evident.
——Come and fight.
"You again!"
The black-haired Taki-nin suddenly felt his blood rushing up, and his originally sullen face turned red. He said coldly: "Little brat, you are looking for death! I will kill you!"
With that, the ground beneath his feet cracked, and he was about to charge straight into the jungle, towards the damned brat.
However, the blue-haired Taki-nin next to him quickly stopped him and growled, "Don't be impulsive! He just wants to use his old tricks to provoke you. He is within the coverage of the explosive tag. Once you go in, you can't get out. Don't even think about me saving you again!"
This was not the first time the other party had done this!
Kagero Village's defensive offensive was too tight and fierce. They could not continue to force their way forward with a large force. They could only hope that the scattered perception teams could investigate and dismantle the hidden explosive tag traps.
After all, no matter how extravagant Kagero Village is, it is impossible for them to waste a bunch of explosive tags just because of a few teams.
However, the black-haired Taki-nin did not expect that the other party actually had a countermeasure.
First, the monsters with extremely strong vitality carried out suicide attacks, and then the monsters behind them rescued their companions who had lost their ability to move.
Once they try to catch up, the little devil with the sword will jump out and cover the monsters' retreat.
In this complex jungle environment, the advantage of the kid not having to cast hand seals was magnified. He felt like a cut-down version of the White Fang of Konoha, constantly disgusting and pulling them.
Before, he was so angry with the blue-haired Taki-nin that he lost his mind and rushed into the minefield of Kagero Village, almost losing his life. He was pulled back in time by the blue-haired Taki-nin with ninjutsu.
"Heh." Looking at the two men, Yahiko smiled and said word by word, "You are such a worthless piece of trash."
His words floated into the ears of the black-haired Taki-nin.
The black-haired Taki-nin, who had originally calmed down, turned from red to black and then to white after hearing this taunt. He spat out a mouthful of blood, his eyes went dark, and he fainted.
It was unknown how much time had passed before the black-haired Taki-nin woke up.
In front of him were two Taki ninjas whose faces were pale, but who were still breathing weakly.
He was knocked unconscious by the explosion and survived because he was buried among the corpses.
As for the bodies of the dead Taki ninjas, not counting the seriously injured, there were more than three hundred bodies left. Under the current circumstances, it was obviously impossible to take care of them for the time being and they could only wait until the battle was over.
“Ahem!”
The black-haired Taki nin coughed twice, his face twisted and his expressions became ferocious.
From dawn to till now, in less than a day, the casualties have reached nearly 30%. Except for those who were killed by the explosive traps in the beginning, almost all of them were killed by those demons!
For him, this was a humiliation he had never experienced before!
There was no way for them to do as they had planned, to tear open a hole and then advance deeper, eventually dividing the ninjas of Kagero Village and annihilating them one by one.
It's not that the tactics are wrong, nor that the Takigakure ninjas are not brave enough.
Rather, those guys are just demons that can’t be killed, just like those damn weeds.
They won't die unless their head is destroyed. Although the recovery speed is extremely slow, they can still survive with only a head left!
How could such a thing suddenly appear here?!
If they continue to consume it at this rate, in another day, the people under their command can be declared completely wiped out!
"Saki Izumi." The blue-haired Taki-nin came over and said with an unpleasant look on his face, "Is it necessary to continue in this situation?"
Hearing this, the black-haired Taki-nin named Saki Izumi was silent for a moment, then sneered, "If we don't continue, what can we do? Lord Puyan has already given the order, he doesn't need the number of casualties, he only needs the result! Even if we all die, we must complete the order!"
"Saki Izumi, you..." The blue-haired Taki-nin had a gloomy expression.
"We both know Lord Puyan's character very well. Do you think we have any choice?" The black-haired Taki-nin's eyes were desperate and calm. He said indifferently, "Go ahead. In the next round, I will lead the team to attack personally. If something unexpected happens to me, you will take over my command."
Handing over the command was clearly a statement of his determination to die. What he meant by attack was that he would never stop charging forward unless everyone including himself was killed, and he would push forward even at the cost of human lives!
"You……"
The blue-haired Taki-nin was speechless and fell silent for a moment.
Just as Saki Izumi said, they had no choice. If they took these remaining ninjas back, they would definitely be publicly executed.
In this case, it is better to die here in battle than to die in disgrace.
The two of them had been completely forced into a desperate situation by a group of people they had looked down upon.
