Naruto proficiency chapter 19
🕑 Added 2024-09-23 14:53:26 +0000 UTCChapter 19 C-level mission
The second day.
Near Nine o'clock in the morning.
Kenji arrived in front of the Hokage Building on time.
Before he could get close, Ryosuke's voice came from afar.
"Kenji, here!"
Kenji looked in the direction of the voice and saw Ryosuke waving his arms and Mizutani Shizuko standing quietly beside him.
So, he walked over quickly.
"Kenji-kun."
Seeing Kenji coming, Mizutani Shizuko whispered.
"Hmm, Shizuko."
Kenji nodded and responded.
"Kenji, why do you always come on exact time? Can't you come earlier?"
Ryosuke looked at Kenji who was not in a hurry and said with a complaining tone.
Kenji knew that the other party had no ill intentions, so he casually replied: "You came too early. Sensei said to gather at nine o'clock, and it's not even nine o'clock yet."
"Why!"
Hearing this, Ryosuke sighed and muttered in silence, "He's so mysterious all day long. He leaves after completing the mission, and I don't know what he's doing."
"What? Of course, I'm practicing."
Only he just needs to know these, there is no need for him to say these out loud.
Therefore, Kenji pretended not to hear his words and waited quietly for Furukawa's arrival.
During this time, he did not forget to gather a small amount of chakra under his feet to improve his proficiency in 'Chakra Control'.
Although this method is not as efficient as climbing trees or treading water, it can be done anytime and anywhere, so the progress is good.
Kenji estimated that in another four or five days, he would be able to upgrade 'Chakra Control’ to level 3.
By then, 15% of chakra can be saved.
However, going further up would be more difficult.
Kenji has already vaguely felt the limit of this method of increasing proficiency.
Once he reaches level 3, it will be difficult to accumulate proficiency simply by gathering chakra on the soles of his feet. Even if he can, his efficiency will probably be greatly reduced.
After that, maybe find some other ways to exercise.
As for the way.
Kenji also has a rough idea - that is the chakra thread used by the puppeteer of the Sunagakure Village to control the puppet.
To condense chakra into such a thin line and manipulate it flexibly is by no means an easy task, and the chakra control required is definitely not low.
If he can get the corresponding training method, he will definitely be able to improve the level of 'Chakra Control'.
However, this is all for later.
At this stage, the focus is still on awakening the Sharingan.
······
Nine o'clock sharp.
A figure appeared silently.
It was none other than Furukawa.
"Sensei!" ×3
Seeing the person coming, Kenji and others hurriedly greeted him.
"Um."
Furukawa nodded, his eyes swept across Kenji's feet, and then he said, "Since we're already here, let's go in."
After saying that, he walked towards the Hokage Building.
Kenji and others hurriedly followed.
After passing through the door, everyone came to a spacious hall.
There is a circle of wooden counters in the hall, behind which the Chūnin sit who are the staff responsible for reviewing and issuing tasks.
Kenji and his group walked towards them.
On the way, Ryosuke asked boredly, "Furukawa-sensei, what task are we taking this time, picking up trash or taking care of children?"
"No."
Furukawa said without even turning his head: "We are taking a C-level mission this time."
"What?"
Hearing this, not only Ryosuke was shocked, but even Kenji showed a bit of surprise.
You know, in Konoha, newly graduated Genin usually have to perform more than eight D-level missions before they are allowed to take on C-level missions.
This is also the minimum threshold to participate in the Chunin Exam.
Generally speaking, D-rank missions do not involve combat and are mainly for rookie Genin to practice with, and are basically trivial tasks.
When it comes to C-level missions, combat will be involved.
Although they won't fight against ninjas, there is a high possibility that they will encounter bandits, robbers, gangsters and other criminals.
Therefore, it is not absolutely safe.
In the past half month, they have only carried out four missions in total, and all of them were D-level, which does not meet the requirements for accepting C-level missions.
"It seems that Konoha is going to speed up the growth of our group."
Almost in an instant, Kenji came to this conclusion.
This also made his heart, which had finally calmed down, feel more urgent.
Konoha did not send them directly to the battlefield, but it also did not intend to train them step by step.
If his guess was correct, it wouldn't be long before this group of people would be heading to the battlefield.
"Great, I can finally leave the village."
Looking at Ryosuke who was still talking excitedly, Kenji didn't say much, but just followed Furukawa quietly.
Although the other party is his companion, there is no need for him to remind him of everything, as the other party also needs to grow.
In front of the counter.
After talking with the staff, Furukawa received a scroll.
After opening it, there is a task inside.
Mission: Suppress bandits
Content: A group of bandits is entrenched in Burakku Mountain, which has a huge impact on the business route below the mountain and needs to be eliminated as soon as possible.
Grade: C
Requirements: Kill all the bandits.
Reward: 75,000 Ryō
"It's actually a direct combat mission. So, actual combat capability is more important?"
After reading the contents of the scroll, Kenji glanced at Furukawa and muttered to himself.
It can be seen from the graduation test given by Furukawa-sensei that compared to other Sensei who pay more attention to students' character, Furukawa-sensei obviously attaches more importance to practical ability.
For the same C-level mission, direct combat missions are obviously more difficult than escort missions.
After all, the former is almost certain to result in a fight, while the latter is likely to remain unscathed.
Bandits and thieves are also human beings and are afraid of death. When they see that their target is guarded by ninjas, they might give up pursuing the target.
So there is a certain possibility of avoiding fighting.
In this case, the novice Genin who is carrying out the mission only needs to bear the psychological pressure and does not need to actually fight.
On the contrary, direct combat missions are different. They require real fighting with weapons, and blood is bound to be shed.
Logically speaking, even if he accepted a C-level mission, he should do the easy ones first and then the difficult ones, but Furukawa obviously didn't have this plan and started with the most difficult one.
This will inevitably cause greater pressure on the Genin.
Just like now, after reading the content of the task, Ryosuke, who was shouting excitedly just now, immediately became quiet, and Mizutani Shizuko next to him also turned pale.
After all, she is only a ten-year-old child. Even though she has learned a lot of killing skills in the Ninja School, she is still a little hesitant when it comes to really killing someone.
Not to mention them, even Kenji, an adult, inevitably felt a little shaken after knowing what was about to happen.
As a young man who grew up in a peaceful era, Kenji has an instinctive reverence for life.
Even if he was transmigrated and accepted the memories of his predecessor, the views that have already been formed are not so easy to break.
However, he also knew that in the ninja world where human life was worthless, if he could not overcome his psychological barriers, only death would await him.
In order to protect myself, my fellow Taoist would rather die than myself.
What's more, these bandits are not good people. Killing them is also savings people from harm, and there is no need to have too much psychological burden.
As if he had convinced himself, Kenji let out a sigh of relief and his mood gradually calmed down.
Looking at the three people who remained silent, Furukawa did not say anything to comfort them. He just ordered: "Go back and pack your equipment. Gather at the village gate at 10 am tomorrow. Remember, don't be late."
After saying that, he left the hall with a Body Flicker Jutsu.
Looking at Furukawa who disappeared without a trace, Kenji retracted his gaze and looked at his two bewildered companions. He also did not say a word to comfort them. He just said, "I'm leaving first," and walked away.
Looking at Kenji's back, Ryosuke raised his hand and wanted to say something, but when the words came to his lips, he gave up in the end.
