While Kenji was thinking, Furukawa had already distanced himself and said, "You guys can discuss it slowly. I'll leave first."
After saying these words, he was about to turn around and leave.
However, as soon as Furukawa finished speaking, Kenji had already lunged out, having already taken out several shuriken from his ninjutsu bag on the way.
Whoosh~whoosh~whoosh~
Shuriken flew out.
Most of them were used by him to block his escape path, and only two attacked Furukawa's throat and heart directly.
Kenji's attack was swift and fierce.
Any other Genin might have been seriously injured by his sudden attack.
But Furukawa is different.
Just as Kenji thought, although the opponent's strength was reduced to the level of a Genin, his combat experience was not comparable to that of an ordinary Genin.
It was seen that the other party reacted the instant Kenji attacked.
Only two clinking sounds were heard, and the two shurikens that attacked him were accurately blocked by his kunai.
But this also gave Kenji an opportunity.
Seeing that Furukawa's center was wide open, Kenji, who had already come close, did not hesitate at all. He immediately swung out his kunai and stabbed it straight at his chest and abdomen.
Feeling the biting chill on his chest, Furukawa smiled, then took a light step back to avoid Kenji's attack.
The difference in size between adults and minors was vividly revealed at this moment. Kenji's perfect attack was easily resolved by Furukawa just because of Kenji size disadvantage.
Kenji didn't have many complaints about this.
After all, when he will on the battlefield, no one cares whether he is an adult or not.
Since he is not as big as the opponent, he should find a way to turn this disadvantage into balance or even an advantage instead of complaining about it.
As soon as he thought of this, Kenji's body swayed slightly. He nimbly moved to the side of the opponent and avoided the opponent's counterattack.
Then, he kicked diagonally with his right leg, striking directly at his back.
Why not kick in the back of the head?
Kenji wanted to kick him too, but unfortunately he was not tall enough, so he could only kick him in the back.
However, Furukawa was unwilling to give even such an opportunity.
He crouched down, dodged Kenji's sideways kick, and at the same time, thrust out his elbow, aiming directly at Kenji's face.
"This is bad!"
Kenji's heart trembled and he quickly raised his arm to block.
Bang!
A dull crash was heard, and Kenji felt his arm go numb, and he flew backwards involuntarily.
In mid-air, Kenji adjusted his body shape and finally landed on the ground in a fairly elegant posture.
"Kenji!"
"Kenji-kun!"
It was not until this time that Ryosuke and Mizutani Shizuko reacted. They quickly drew out their kunai and came to Kenji.
"Kenji, are you okay?"
Ryosuke stared at Furukawa and asked without turning his head.
"I am fine."
Kenji slowly stood up and replied.
Not far away, Furukawa put away his kunai and said calmly, "Kenji, your strength is not bad, but you alone can't take the scroll from me."
After saying this, he leaped a few times and left everyone's sight, disappearing into the depths of the dense forest.
"Phew–"
After Furukawa left, Ryosuke and Mizutani Shizuko both couldn't help but breathe a sigh of relief.
Even though they had just stood up, they were still a little timid in front of a jōnin.
Kenji didn't care much about this.
The reason why he made the move just now was just to try his luck. If it works, that would be the best. If not, he could use it to test Furukawa's "strength".
In this way, he can have a general idea in his mind.
"Kenji, what should we do next?"
Ryosuke retracted his gaze, looked at Kenji and asked.
Not only him, but Mizutani Shizuko also turned her attention at him.
These two people have regarded him as their backbone.
This is also one of Kenji’s purposes.
Everything is good now. After what happened just now, he believe that his two companions will act according to his ideas.
Although Kenji doesn't care about the position of captain, it is better to have less trouble.
With this in mind, Kenji looked at the two of them and said, "Since Furukawa-sensei said this is a test, then there will be no fatal danger. We can just go all out from now on."
"Yeah, why didn't I think of that?"
Ryosuke pounded his palms and shouted excitedly: "Then what are we waiting for, let's go!"
‘Oh, if only it was that simple.’
Kenji was certain that the road ahead would definitely not be easy, but he did not say much. It would be best if his teammates could stay motivated like this.
Thinking of this, Kenji said, "Well, let's go. I'll be in the front, Shizuko in the middle, and Ryosuke, you watch our backs."
"What?"
After hearing Kenji's arrangement, Ryosuke asked in confusion: "Didn't Furukawa-sensei say that he would not initiate an attack? Why should we watch our backs?"
"It's never too late to be careful."
Kenji replied.
"All right!"
Ryosuke nodded reluctantly, reluctantly agreeing to Kenji's arrangement.
"Shizuko, What about you?"
Kenji asked.
Mizutani Shizuko shook her head and said timidly, "I have no problem."
"Well, let's go."
After saying that, Kenji took the lead and chased in the direction where Furukawa left.
Mizutani Shizuko and Ryosuke followed closely behind.
In underground, unknown to Kenji and the other two, Furukawa used the Earth Style: Underground Projection Fish Jutsu to hide himself in the ground and secretly observed their every move.
When he heard Kenji's words "It's better to be careful", he nodded with satisfaction.
For a ninja, caution is a quality that must be possessed at all times.
Kenji still did this even after he told him that he would not initiate an attack, which was enough to show his cautious nature.
If that were all, it would be fine.
But considering the attack he just launched, it can be seen that he is not lacking in adventurous spirit.
"He is cautious yet bold and decisive. He is a natural born ninja."
Kenji didn't know that he was just acting according to some memories of his predecessor's life, but he actually got a very high evaluation from Furukawa.
However, even if he knew, he wouldn't care.
Other people's evaluations are just other people's opinions. He must be strong himself. As long as he improves his own strength, then everything he does makes sense.
…….
Kenji and his two companions were running fast in the forest, searching for the traces deliberately left by Furukawa according to the knowledge taught by their school sensei.
They encountered many traps and dangers along the way, but with the efforts of Kenji and others, they were all eliminated one by one.
Near noon, the three finally reached the mountain and met Furukawa who had arrived before them.
Seeing them, Furukawa tossed the scroll in his hand and said, "Time is running out. What are you going to do?"
"What to do?"
Kenji and Ryosuke looked at each other, then ran out together, rushing towards Furukawa from the left and right.
At the same time, Mizutani Shizuko forced herself to energize and threw several shurikens and kunai at a rapid speed to restrict Furukawa's movements.
Furukawa dodged Mizutani Shizuko's attacks.
Taking advantage of this opportunity, Kenji came to Furukawa's side and swung the kunai in his hand straight towards his waist and abdomen.
Ding~
A crisp sound of metal collision was heard, and Furukawa used a kunai to block Kenji's attack.
Just at this moment, Ryosuke rushed over and stabbed Furukawa in the back with the kunai in his hand.
It was about to hit, but maybe because he was afraid of hurting Furukawa or something, he hesitated for a moment.
But it was this hesitation that caused the opportunity to be missed, and Furukawa dodged sideways.
"Boy, face me like your facing an enemy."
After dodging the attack, Furukawa was about to say something when he suddenly saw Ryosuke smile slightly, and his left hand reached out to his chest where the scroll was hidden at an extremely fast speed, and his movements were much more agile than before.
"Not good!"
Furukawa cursed inwardly, "cunning boy," and quickly leaned back.
Because of his position and height, Ryosuke's left hand could only barely touch Furukawa's chest, which was not enough to take out the scroll.
Seeing this, Furukawa breathed a sigh of relief and said to himself, "That was a close call!"
However, at this moment, Ryosuke turned his right hand holding the kunai and stabbed the kunai into Furukawa's lower abdomen cleanly.
"Ah!"
Seeing this scene, Kenji, who rushed up first, screamed and his body shape changed from Kenji's appearance to Ryosuke's appearance.
Seeing this, Furukawa looked down at Ryosuke in front of him, with a hint of admiration in his eyes.
Then, his figure turned into a ball of chakra smoke.
A scroll fell from the smoke, which was exactly the mission target of Kenji and others.
