"Hello, my name is Ryosuke!"
"Uchiha Kenji."
Looking at Ryosuke who came to the table, Kenji replied concisely.
After saying that, he looked at the other person.
Mizutani Shizuko felt a little embarrassed by his gaze, so she shrank her neck and said in a whisper, "My name is Mizutani Shizuko."
After the three of them exchanged their names, they sat together after some negotiations by Ryosuke.
From then on, it was Ryosuke who was talking, with Mizutani Shizuko responding intermittently, while Kenji remained basically silent.
From their conversation, Kenji knew that Ryosuke's parents were both Chūnin, and both were technical talents, one was engaged in code decryption work, and the other was a ninja in the barrier class.
But Kenji didn't know why these two people gave birth to a chatterbox like Ryosuke.
Is it because he is holding it in at home?
Just as Kenji was secretly complaining, Ryosuke's voice suddenly interrupted him.
"Kenji, you haven't told me about your parents yet?"
“Sacrificed.”
Kenji replied in a calm tone.
Hearing this, Ryosuke was slightly stunned, scratched his head awkwardly, and said: "Um. Sorry, Kenji, I don't know."
"It's okay. It's all over."
Kenji replied calmly again.
Despite this, Ryosuke still shut his mouth embarrassedly.
Mizutani Shizuko on the side seemed to want to say something, but after mustering up her courage several times, she finally couldn't make up her mind to speak.
Seeing this, Kenji did not ask any questions.
It was nothing more than some words of comfort, which his predecessor might have needed but he didn't.
······
Half an hour later.
More than a dozen jōnin came to the classroom.
Well.
Not all of them are real jōnin, most of them are special jōnin.
The so-called special jōnin are jōnin whose strength does not reach the jōnin level but who have unique talents in certain aspects.
These people are called jōnin, but in fact they are just ninjas between Chunin and jōnin.
Come to think of it, for this class of students, the potential of most of them can be seen at a glance, and it is not worth wasting too much energy of the senior ninjas.
Now is a time of war, and as the backbone of the village, there is a lack of strong ninjas everywhere. Although the training of reserve forces is also very important, it is not as important as the battle situation on the front line.
"Team 11, please stand up."
At the podium, a special jōnin spoke.
Suddenly, the three students named Nakajima Kanata, Hanako and Hiryu stood up.
After making sure there was no problem, the special jōnin led his team away.
Then the Team 12 and 13.
Soon, it was the turn of Team 17 in which Kenji was.
"Uchiha Kenji? Mizutani Shizuko? Ryosuke?"
On the podium, a middle-aged ninja with scars on his face stared at Kenji and the other two and said.
"It's us, sensei!"
The middle-aged ninja flipped through the files in his hand, nodded, and said, "Okay, follow me."
After saying that, he left the classroom.
Kenji and others followed immediately.
Ten minutes later, the group arrived at the tenth training ground.
This place is remote. Normally, it takes half an hour to get here from the village center, but now it only takes half the time.
Therefore, except Kenji, Ryosuke and Mizutani Shizuko were both exhausted.
Especially for Mizutani Shizuko, she is a girl and has weak physical fitness, so it is not easy for her to run here in such a short time.
Despite this, Kenji did not think about helping the other party because he was not sure whether this was a test from the Jōnin-sensei.
According to his observation, there is a high probability that Mizutani Shizuko can persevere, so he just lets things take their course.
"Okay, that's it."
Arriving at the center of the training ground, the middle-aged jōnin finally stopped.
Seeing this, Kenji and others also stopped one after another.
The middle-aged jōnin's eyes swept over the three people, lingering on Kenji for a while, and then said: "You can keep up with my pace, which means you have passed the test initially."
"Test?"
Mizutani Shizuko, who was panting, asked in confusion.
"Yes, it's a test."
The middle-aged jōnin nodded and said, "On the battlefield, no matter what type of ninja you are, if your physical fitness is not up to standard, you are most likely to be sacrificed."
Hearing this, Mizutani Shizuko was stunned and her face gradually turned pale.
She really didn't expect to hear such a serious topic about sacrifice on her first day as a ninja.
Thinking of the sacrifice, Mizutani Shizuko secretly glanced at Kenji and thought to herself, "I wonder how Kenji felt after hearing the news of his parents' sacrifice? He must be very sad!"
Kenji keenly noticed the other party's little movements, but didn't say much.
The middle-aged ninja changed the subject and continued, "Okay, you guys take a break first."
Hearing this, Ryosuke and Mizutani Shizuko both sat on the ground to calm their breath. Only Kenji stood aside, motionless.
This amount of exercise is nothing to him.
The middle-aged ninja glanced at Kenji and said nothing more, "Let's take advantage of the break time to get to know each other."
"Okay, Sensei, we don't know your name yet?"
Ryosuke, who had not gotten a chance to speak just now, spoke immediately.
Hearing this, the middle-aged ninja nodded and introduced himself: "My name is Furukawa. As you can see, I am a jōnin. I am thirty-seven years old. I like to play shogi and I hate people who don't follow the rules."
After that, he looked at Ryosuke and said, "You go first. Tell me your name and age, what you like and dislike, and what is your dream."
"Yes, Furukawa-sensei."
After responding, Ryosuke introduced himself: "My name is Ryosuke, I'm ten years old, I like making friends, I hate any food containing coriander, and my dream is to become Hokage."
"Hokage? Another guy who has been brainwashed by the Will of Fire."
Kenji sighed inwardly.
Furukawa nodded expressionlessly, then looked at Mizutani Shizuko and said, "What about you?"
Mizutani Shizuko rested for a while and finally spoke without panting.
She said: "My name is Mizutani Shizuko, I will be ten years old in January. I like flower arranging, I hate..uh."
Mizutani Shizuko thought for a moment and shook her head: "I don't seem to have anything I particularly hate. As for my dream..."
She looked around at the four people present and mustered up the courage to say, "My dream is to become a medical ninja like Lady Tsunade."
"Tsunade?"
Kenji glanced at Mizutani Shizuko and thought to himself, "Tsunade is really famous. No wonder she was able to become the Fifth Hokage after being away from the village for so long."
Just as he was thinking, Furukawa turned his gaze towards him and said, "It's your turn, Kenji."
"Um."
Kenji nodded and said, "My name is Uchiha Kenji, I'm ten years old, I like to practice, I hate trouble, and my dream..."
Having said this, Kenji suddenly stopped.
Because he found that he seemed to have never thought about the distant future, let alone any dreams.
When he was transmigrated, he was worried that his identity as an outsider would be exposed, so he practiced hard.
After fully absorbing the experience and memories of his predecessor, he became concerned about his survival in the Ninja World War, so he continued to practice hard.
The furthest thing he thought about was how to survive the disaster of genocide. It seemed that he had never considered the future.
"Kenji-kun?"
Seeing Kenji suddenly stopped talking, Mizutani Shizuko poked his arm and called softly, "What's wrong?"
