While closing the panel, Kenji took out a military rations pill and put it into his mouth.
Snap!
He crushed it by using his teeth.
Immediately, a bitter taste burst out, causing Kenji's eyes to twitch.
"No wonder no one likes to eat this, it's taste is so bad"
Kenji shook his head, suppressed the discomfort, and swallowed the crumbs in his mouth.
Soon, a warm current emerged from the stomach and quickly spread to the limbs and bones.
Kenji did not waste any time. He immediately sat cross-legged, concentrated his mind, and began to refine chakra.
More than two hours later, the chakra was restored to its full state. Kenji stopped the 'chakra refining jutsu' and began to practice the 'transformation jutsu' and 'substitution jutsu'.
Among them, the "transformation jutsu" is easy to do. You only need to mobilize chakra step by step and change your own appearance to gain proficiency.
But to perform "Substitute jutsu" you need to prepare auxiliary props in advance, such as a wooden board for the substitute.
The so-called substitution jutsu does not involve spatial transformation, it is more like a sleight of hand.
That is, at the moment of attack, quickly replace the body with a substitute prepared in advance, causing the opponent to misjudge.
At this point, the caster can take the opportunity to launch a sneak attack or escape.
Therefore, this jutsu really tests the ninja's grasp of timing. If used well, it will be an extraordinary skill, but if used poorly it will even reveal more flaws.
However, no matter how proficiently one uses substitution jutsu, there are still limits to it.
As long as there is a substitution process, flaws will inevitably be revealed.
This flaw may not be a big deal in the battle between Genin and Chunin, but at the Jōnin level, basically everyone can seize such an opportunity.
Therefore, in battles between jōnin, substitution jutsu are rarely used to confuse the opponent.
However, this is a bit far for Kenji.
At this stage, the "substitution jutsu" is indeed a rare life-saving skill for him.
Therefore, even though it was very troublesome to practice, he did not feel impatient at all.
After more than ten minutes, the chakra was exhausted, Kenji swallowed another military rations pill and began to refine the chakra.
Two hours later, his chakra was almost recovered, and he started practicing the 'transformation jutsu' and 'substitution jutsu' again.
Just like that, near midnight, Kenji finally completed his last round of training.
Compared with the past, today he practiced the 'Chakra Refining Jutsu' for two more hours, which increased his chakra limit by two points and his proficiency by three points.
At the same time, the extra 100 chakra points restored also increased his proficiency in the "transformation jutsu" and "substitution jutsu" by more than ten points.
Don't underestimate this change. As the saying goes, little by little, it adds up to a lot. If so much increases in one day, how much will there be in a month? What about in a year?
Well, a year is a bit far.
But Kenji is still looking forward to its worth for a month.
If it weren't for the fact that refining chakra and practicing ninjutsu were extremely mentally taxing, and that eating too many Military Rations Pills would cause indigestion, Kenji would really want to work hard all night.
“Ha~~~”
After stretching, yawning, and washing up, Kenji returned to the bedroom.
Soon, a familiar snoring sound was heard.
After some time.
At a certain moment, a figure appeared on the electric pole outside the window, a pair of scarlet three-magatama Sharingans staring at Kenji, as if observing something.
After a moment, the figure disappeared.
······
Deep in the Uchiha clan territory, the residence of the great elder.
Boom boom boom~
There was a soft knock on the door.
"Come in!"
An old voice was heard in the room.
Uchiha Hito pushed the door open, looked at the old man behind the table, bowed and said, "Grand Elder!"
"Oh, it's Hito!"
The old man looked up at Uchiha Hito and said, "What's the matter?"
"Grand Elder, these are the results of my observations regarding Kenji."
Uchiha Hito replied respectfully.
Hearing this, the old man's eyes flashed with a gleam of light, and then he asked slowly: "How is it, has he awakened the Sharingan?"
"No."
Uchiha Hito shook his head and said, "After observing for these few days, there has been no explosive growth in the chakra in his body, and his mental state is relatively stable. It can be basically confirmed that he does not have the qualifications to awaken the Sharingan."
"Is that so?"
After hearing Uchiha Hito's answer, even though he had expected it, the old man still felt a little disappointed.
Generally speaking, if a member of the clan has the qualifications to awaken the Sharingan, he or she can immediately awaken the Sharingan when receiving a stimulus similar to the death of their parents.
Even if they don't awaken immediately, there will be some changes in their body and mind, and then with a little stimulation, they will be able to awaken smoothly.
However, after learning the news of his parents' sacrifice, Kenji did not wake up immediately, and his body did not undergo corresponding changes for a period of time afterwards.
From this, it can be basically confirmed that he does not have the qualifications to awaken the Sharingan.
"Great Elder, do you want to continue observing?"
Seeing that the old man was slow to speak, Uchiha Hito spoke.
"No."
The old man waved his hand and said, "You can go back!"
"Yes, Great Elder!"
With that, Uchiha Hito left the room.
Kenji didn't know that today was his last chance to be valued by the clan.
If he could awaken the Sharingan today under the stimulation of the pension, he wouldn't be able to rise to the top immediately, but his future path would definitely be much smoother.
Even getting a bodyguard at the Genin stage is not a problem.
That’s right, this is the Uchiha clan. Although they are not good at dealing with outsiders, they are quite united internally.
Well.
Except for a certain traitor!
However, Kenji did not awaken the Sharingan, so he was destined not to enjoy the treatment of a genius.
However, even if Kenji knew, he wouldn't care.
He never thought of relying on the Uchiha clan. With the proficiency panel, he will be able to grow up sooner or later.
······
Five days later.
School is almost over.
Pah pah pah~
Fukuhara Ikki clapped his hands and shouted loudly: "Students come here!"
"Sensei, what's up? School is almost over!"
"Yeah yeah!"
“....”
Hearing Fukuhara Ikki's call, more than thirty students crowded around him, started talking.
Kenji stood on the outskirts of the crowd without saying a word. He could tell something was wrong on Fukuhara Ikki's serious face.
Sure enough, what Fukuhara Ikki said next confirmed his guess.
"Quiet!"
Fukuhara Ikki shouted loudly, and after everyone quieted down, he said, "The village has decided to change your annual assessment in half a month to a graduation assessment.
At that time, those who pass the assessment will be granted the status of Konoha Genin and become a true ninja. "
Although it was expected, when Kenji actually heard the news, he still felt a sense of urgency.
However, compared to Kenji’s sense of urgency, many students in the crowd shouted excitedly when they heard the news.
"Fukuhara-Sensei, is what you said true?"
"Yes, Sensei, can we really become ninjas ahead of time?"
“....”
Hearing these somewhat naive words, Kenji shook his head and thought to himself: "These people are still too well protected. They have no idea how dangerous the profession of ninja is, especially in this period."
If possible, Kenji would like to stay in school for the rest of his life.
But that's impossible.
Now I just hope we won't be sent to the battlefield right after graduation, otherwise...
