"Zizi~, Kenji, prepare to intercept, it's coming to your side."
Ryosuke's voice came from the headphones.
Kenji pressed the headset and replied: "OK, I saw it."
On the tree branch.
Kenji looked at the giant wild boar charging towards him and threw a kunai.
The kunai flew through the air like a bullet, hitting the wild boar's left eye quickly and accurately.
Blood dripped down the kunai, causing the wild boar to roar in pain.
Roar--
He has to say, these animals in the ninja world are really outrageous. Not only are they huge in size, but they also have extremely tenacious vitality.
Just like now, even though its eyes were pierced and its brain was injured, the wild boar below was still alive and kicking.
"But that's it."
With a mutter, Kenji raised his right hand and ignited the explosive tag tied to the kunai.
boom--
A loud explosion sounded.
A ball of red flame suddenly appeared, enveloping the entire wild boar.
The pain caused by the burning flames made the wild boar wail incessantly, and it rammed the surrounding trees frantically, even the big tree where Kenji was hiding was hit.
As a last resort, Kenji could only change his hiding place.
After a few breaths, the flames gradually disappeared, and the wild boar was no longer crazy. It just lay on the ground, motionless.
Looking at the charred wild boar, Kenji did not approach it, but took out another kunai and threw it out like lightning, hitting the wild boar's other eye.
Puff~
The sound of a sharp blade entering flesh was heard.
The wild boar stood up suddenly, howled, crashed into several large trees, and fell to the ground again.
Looking at the wild boar's chest and abdomen gradually stopping rising and falling, Kenji snorted coldly: "Humph! A beast is a beast, no matter how cunning it is, it is no more than this."
Although the wild boar knew how to play dead, his chest rising and falling easily exposed his trick.
Kenji naturally couldn't fall into such a trap.
But now, He can be sure that the wild boar is dead.
Brush~brush~
Two figures appeared, they were Ryosuke and Mizutani Shizuko.
"Kenji, this is such a waste."
Ryosuke looked at the wild boar's head that was charred by the explosive tag and said, "Don't you know the Great Fireball Jutsu? Why do you need to use the Explosive Tag?"
Indeed, it is not cost-effective to use an explosive tag to kill such a wild boar. Even if there is a mission reward, he will still lose money when the bill is settled in the end.
But this saves chakra.
Although performing Fire Style: Great Fireball Jutsu can also increase his proficiency, his current focus is not on this, so the more chakra he can save, the better.
For Kenji, it is not a loss if he can spend a little money to use more chakra where it is needed.
At this moment, a week had passed since he met Kakashi and others.
During this week, apart from eating, sleeping and completing tasks, he spent the rest of his time practicing.
With such hard work, the results achieved are naturally not bad.
First of all, he has practiced the Three Body Jutsu to perfection, which is level 3.
At this moment, no matter if it was the simplest "Transformation Jutsu" or the most difficult "Substitution Jutsu", he could complete it within one second.
Many Chunin are not as proficient as him in performing these three ninjutsu now.
After all, it is a basic ninjutsu, and the learning difficulty is only E-level. As long as a Chunin puts in some effort, it is not too difficult to practice it to perfection.
Secondly, his 'Basic Taijutsu' was also upgraded from lv2 to lv3.
Originally, he was expecting that it could improve his physical strength attribute a little bit more like the upgrade from lv1 to lv2.
In this way, his chakra limit can continue to increase.
But he was disappointed.
'Basic Taijutsu' was upgraded from lv2 to lv3, and even though it reached perfection like the Three Body Jutsu, it could not bring about any changes to his physical strength attribute.
However, think about it, if physical attributes can be improved so easily, there wouldn't be so many ninjas in the ninja world who would spend their entire lives as Genin.
Every improvement in physical fitness is a transformation for a ninja.
As long as they transform once or twice at the Genin stage, they can become a Chunin, even if it's not 100% certain, but at least they will definitely have enough chakra.
Therefore, it is normal that his physical attributes did not increase when the 'Basic Taijutsu' level 2 was upgraded to level 3. At least some advanced Taijutsu would be needed to make it possible.
The last one is the "Heart-Reflecting Jutsu".
In seven days, its proficiency increased by a total of 125 points, and its level changed from lv2 (260/500) to lv2 (385/500).
Thanks to this, his Sharingan awakening progress increased from (85/100) to (87/100).
As he expected, there was no further reduction in speed.
Now he just had to wait for the 'Heart-Reflecting Jutsu' to be upgraded to level 3. If the effect was good, maybe he could awaken the Sharingan before the end of the Chunin Exam.
Otherwise, he will have to go to the battlefield without sharingan.
That’s right, Kenji has already received the news that their graduating class will go to the battlefield with the newly promoted Chūnin.
That is why he attaches great importance to every bit of chakra.
Even the plan to learn the Body Flicker Jutsu was put on hold.
Next, apart from the necessary consumption, he planned to use all the remaining chakra to practice the "Heart-Reflecting Jutsu".
Without the Sharingan as a trump card, he really didn't feel safe.
All kinds of thoughts flashed through his mind.
Kenji looked at Ryosuke and Mizutani Shizuko and said, "There are many wild beasts in this forest. Our mission is too big. It's okay to waste a few explosive tags."
The mission they received this time was to drive away all the wild beasts within a radius of ten kilometers, and the mission required that the number of kills must not be less than one third of the total number.
If so many beasts were to be driven away or killed using conventional methods, it would consume a lot of chakra and would also prolong the mission time.
Kenji didn't want to waste time and energy here, so he would rather spend a little more money to complete the task as soon as possible.
Without giving Ryosuke a chance to speak again, Kenji pulled out his kunai from the wild boar, wiped it, and said, "I'm going to area number two. You guys hurry up and drive the wild animals over there."
After saying this, he left without caring about their reactions.
Watching his leaving figure, Ryosuke turned back to Mizutani Shizuko and said, "Shizuko, do you feel that Kenji has been a little impatient recently?"
"Um."
Upon hearing this, Shizuko Mizutani nodded.
In fact, she had already discovered this, but she just didn't say it out loud.
"Then do you know why?"
Ryosuke asked curiously.
"Maybe it's because of the Chunin Exams!"
Mizutani Shizuko's detour.
"Chūnin Exam?"
Ryosuke looked confused and asked, "What does this have to do with us? We're not participating."
Upon hearing this, Mizutani Shizuko hesitated for a moment, carefully glanced around, and after confirming that there was no one around, she told the news she had received from her father, the jōnin.
"I heard that the village plans to let our group go to the battlefield with those new Chunin after the Chunin Exam."
"What?"
When he suddenly heard the news, Ryosuke screamed in surprise.
Although he hated carrying out D-level missions that did not require any technical skills, he was also aware of the dangers of the battlefield and naturally did not want to go to the battlefield so quickly.
"Shh!"
Mizutani Shizuko raised her right index finger, made a silencing gesture, and said, "Keep your voice down. My father told me not to tell anyone about this news. Don't spread it around."
"Um."
Ryosuke reacted, nodded, and said, "Don't worry, I won't say anything about it to anyone."
In fact, they were worrying too much. It wouldn't matter even if it got out.
Because this matter is already a done deal.
Although the news is still only circulated among the senior ninjas and major families, it will not be long before everyone knows it, and there is no need to keep it secret.
"Okay, Ryosuke, let's go."
The two were silent for a while, and it was Mizutani Shizuko who spoke.
"Hm."
Hearing this, Ryosuke came back to his senses, responded, and said, "Let's go."
Afterwards, the two rushed to area number three together.
