Although his life is now controlled by Kumokawa, Shinnō does not think that he is a good person.
Because Shinnō knew very well that Kumokawa had extremely terrible malice and extremely pure desire, and the blood on his hands and the means of killing were far more numerous and cruel than those of most ninjas.
A guy like this doesn't even know if he can keep his promises, and what he says sounds more like lies that cannot be fulfilled.
However, it is something that is obviously impossible to do, but people cannot refute it.
Even Shinnō couldn't help but feel touched after hearing those words.
Even with a slogan as pale and powerless as Hanzo's, countless refugees were willing to join in just for a full meal.
It is easy to imagine how many guys who have suffered so much from the war would choose to sacrifice their lives in a fit of anger for a goal of his that they did not know whether it was true or false, and whether it was feasible or not.
Even if the way to achieve this goal is also "war", as long as he can produce a little bit of "results", countless civilians whose families have been broken up, separated from their wives and children, and have no ties due to the war will be willing to become his cannon fodder.
Of course, Shinnō didn't think he would end up like this. After all, he thought he was very rational...
"Oh, Shinnō."
Kumokawa seemed to have suddenly thought of something, turned his head to look at Shinnō and said with a smile: "Have you heard of ‘Takama-ga-hara?"
Shinnō was stunned for a moment after his thoughts were interrupted, and subconsciously said: "Of course I have heard of it. According to legend, it is the place where the god of the origin of the world, Ame-no-Minakanushi, and the sun goddess, Amaterasu Omikami, live."
In mythology, when the world was first formed, "Ame-no-Minakanushi" first appeared in "Takama-ga-hara", followed by "Takamimusubi" and "Kamimusubi".
The first to appear, Ame-no-Minakanushi-no-Mikoto, represents the root of the universe and the ruler who controls the center of Takama-ga-hara. Takamimusubi and Kamimusubi represent the yin and yang respectively. After the formation of these three gods, they hid in "Takama-ga-hara".
However, legends are just legends after all.
The existence of the Six Paths Sage is still controversial, but gods like Ame-no-Minakanushi are limited to mythology.
"Sure enough, myths overlap. After all, the names of many things have mythological overtones."
Kumokawa murmured thoughtfully, then raised his head and smiled meaningfully, "Takama-ga-hara’ is the heavenly world where the gods live, 'Ashihara no Nakatsukuni' is the continent where humans live, and 'Yomi-no-kuni' belongs to the dead underground."
"Do you think these three are somewhat similar to our current situation? Or, is it possible for us to create such a world?"
“……”
After a long silence, Shinnō took a deep breath, forced himself to suppress the throbbing in his heart, and bowed his head and said, "You are such a terrible person."
No, it's more like the legendary devil that seduces people's hearts and desires.
Let the Land of the Sky stand shoulder to shoulder with the five major countries. Compared with "Takama-ga-hara", its vision is simply weak!
If we want to do it, we must make this fortress into "Takama-ga-hara", stand above the entire ninja world, and build it into a heavenly world where "gods" live.
Shinnō had to admit that he was really moved.
Is there anything that can give you a greater sense of accomplishment than turning myths into reality and creating a "heavenly world" with your own hands?
No.
This is simply the future he has always dreamed of, enjoyed, and is willing to run towards!
He instantly understood the refugees who came in droves just for the sake of hope.
Then, because of Kumokawa's words and a blueprint, he has persisted until now.
"Shinnō-sama, the Upper Rank Five have dealt with the 'Shadow', but the Upper Rank One has encountered a special situation."
A Sky Ninja in front of the sub-monitoring station looked up at Shinnō and said calmly: "The Upper Rank One encountered the 'Black Warriors' on the way to deal with the 'Monks'. We need to mobilize the barrier team to help blockade it."
"Um?"
Shinnō came back to his senses and frowned slightly: "With the strength of that little demon, does he still need a barrier to seal it? Forget it, since he wants it, let's send a team over."
"Also, regarding the 'Monks'..." Sky-nin hesitated, "Although the one brought by Upper Rank One, Oyashiro En, has helped to deal with it, but we are not sure if he is reliable. If he cooperates with the 'Monks'..."
Shinnō thought for a moment, looked at the sky ninja sitting next to him, and said, "Tori, you can go with the new ninja tools developed by the Research Institute based on Lord Kumokawa's design drawings. You can also measure their accuracy."
"If that Oyashiro En makes any unusual moves, just shoot him down as well."
After saying that, he picked up the metal box on the table in front of him and threw it towards the bird.
Well, you want me to be a guinea pig.
Complaining in his heart, Tori took the metal box, stood up helplessly, and replied, "Yes, Shinnō-sama."
Creak.
As the Tori left, the door of the control room closed.
Shinnō withdrew his gaze, looked up at the red dot that was gradually disappearing in the city projection, his heart filled with fanaticism.
Even Zero Tail, who was barely maintaining a supply balance in his body in order to provide power to the fortress, felt at this moment that large amounts of dark chakra were being fed back from Shinnō.
"Takama-ga-hara, Ame-no-Minakanushi, it really makes my heart surge!" Shinnō felt as if he had found back his original intention and desire to lead the Sky Ninja Village forward.
The ideal of standing shoulder to shoulder with the five great nations was too weak. He wanted to make this fortress a "Takama-ga-hara" that was above all humans!
He wanted to help Kumokawa become the "Lord of the Heaven"!
——————————
Crack! Puff!
If someone happened to pass by this alley, they would hear a sound like hell.
However, even though this place is located in the city of Dawn, it seems to have attracted no one's attention. It is so quiet that it seems like a dead zone isolated from the world.
“No, no, please… ah!!”
It was unknown how long it had been, but after the last humble plea for mercy and the wailing of fear, Nagato was surrounded by the broken bodies of the samurai.
Phew.
The thorns behind Nagato were pulled out from the bodies of the corpses, and the blood at the tips of the thorns gathered into tear-like blood beads.
In the entire wide alley, there was no trace of flesh and blood except for the remaining bloodstains around.
"Ho ho! Ho! Monster, monster!"
Kurogane's wrinkled face was now filled with fear and pain. He no longer had his previous composure. Tears and saliva were streaming down his face, and he even looked a little crazy and stupid.
He watched helplessly as his warriors were drained by the monster in front of them.
When he realized that something was wrong, he tried to escape, but after running a few dozen meters, he ran into an invisible barrier head-on and was pulled back by one of the terrifying thorns.
"Who are you, you guys..."
Kurogane was lifted into the air by the thorns wrapped around his neck. He struggled weakly, his eyes filled with fear and despair.
How could such a monster appear in a place like this?!
"Are you still unwilling to accept the reality?"
Nagato stared at him expressionlessly, the thorns gradually tightening around him, and said indifferently, "What a waste."
Bang!
Kurogane's body fell into a pool of blood at Nagato's feet, his old, dry face stained with scarlet mud.
If he had used a sword throughout, Nagato might have been interested in training his sword skills.
But unfortunately, he is not a pure swordsman.
This old guy has long since abandoned his beliefs and swordsmanship, and is now just a ninja disguising himself as a samurai.
Perhaps, ever since he was defeated by General Mifune, he had lost confidence in the sword in his hand and the courage to win.
Thinking of this, Nagato carried Kurogane's head and walked out of the wide and quiet alley.
There was still extreme silence outside the alley, as if it was shrouded in a domain, and it felt like being in another world.
There was no sound of talking, no sound of wind, not even the chirping of insects.
There were only the sounds of Nagato's footsteps on the ground and in the water, and a colorless barrier that covered a large area in his perception.
After Nagato walked out of the alley carrying Kurogane's head, the barrier gradually faded from top to bottom. The sound of pigeons flapping their wings and spinning in the wind was heard, and several figures standing in four directions also appeared.
"Nagato-sama."
Several people wearing the same white robes bowed their heads respectfully. The wind slightly blew away the white cloth in front of them, revealing red hair that was somewhat similar to Nagato's.
"Yes." Facing these fellow clansman and "relatives", Nagato simply nodded, "Thanks for helping in seal off and deal with the scene."
"You're welcome, Nagato-sama. This is our duty." Several people shook their heads in unison.
"Yeah...right."
Nagato seemed to have remembered something. He raised the withered head in his hand, handed it to the people and said indifferently: "Tell the others to keep the invader's head and pack it up. Send a few blood pigeons to send it to the Iwagakure Village..."
Hearing this, the hearts of several Uzumaki clan members skipped a beat and they looked at the red-haired boy in front of them in shock.
However, Nagato suddenly paused, thinking of the old man Onoki's age, and he was a little hesitant for a moment.
After all, Onoki is old. When he wakes up at night or in the morning, he suddenly sees several heads on his body staring at him. Will he die immediately?
It might be okay to intimidate him a bit, but if you scare the Tsuchikage to death, you'll end up falling out with the Iwagakure.
Now is not the time to start a war.
Onoki of the Iwagakure Village has been developing military since he came to power. Now, there are probably tens of thousands of Iwagakure ninjas accumulated and trained. Even if they can win a war now, it will only be a miserable victory with losses on both sides.
But in our future plans, what we need is a big victory, and an undisputed victory.
We must take the initiative to declare war on the great powers and declare our existence to the entire ninja world.
So, before that, be nice to the elderly.
Thinking of this, Nagato waved his hand and changed his tone, "Forget it, there's no need to send it to the Iwagakure Village. I'm afraid that old guy Ōnoki will die if he can't catch his breath."
The eyes of several Uzumaki people twitched, and they had a deeper understanding of the character of this foreign fellow, but they still secretly breathed a sigh of relief in their hearts.
However, Nagato's next words made their scalps tingle.
"Then treat the heads of these idiots with lime saltpeter and hang them outside the city for public display."
Nagato said coldly: "Let those guys with bad intentions see the ugliness of these 'seniors', and let our Tsuchikage-sama see the fate of his mobs."
Although I don't intend to fall out with them right now, I still want to scare those villains. Flies and rats aren't worth worrying about, but if there are too many of them, it will be annoying.
Several members of the Uzumaki clan looked at each other, understood the meaning of this action, and bowed their heads to take the head.
As several people went to deal with the bodies, Nagato raised his head and looked at the sky.
"Coo."
A white dove as big as a raven fell from the sky, folded its wings at both sides and gently landed on Nagato's shoulder, rubbing Nagato's cheek in a very intimate or flattering manner.
Nagato's calm face was covered with a smile. He skillfully extended a finger to the pigeon's mouth and said, "Drink less. Your body size is seriously overweight. When the operation is over, go back and digest it."
Hearing this, the white dove, which had opened its beak impatiently, suddenly lowered its head, but still obediently closed its beak slightly to indicate that it would not drink too much.
Seeing this, Nagato's finger was cut, and a drop of deep red blood slowly seeped out, and finally fell accurately into the white dove's mouth.
"Coo."
The white dove opened its beak and swallowed it. The scarlet color in its eyes became more intense, and it smacked its lips in a humane way, looking as if it was still not satisfied.
"Go ahead."
Nagato stretched out his healed finger, touched the pigeon's head and said indifferently: "Go and help me keep an eye on that guy Oyashiro En. He should have found the monks by now."
"Those old bald donkeys from the Fire Country temple are troublesome, but if Oyashiro En can't even deal with them, let others kill him and those old bald donkeys together."
When his brother left, he gave him extremely high authority, perhaps he had anticipated the current situation.
This is a test. He must guard this place well and achieve full marks before his brother comes back.
Let his brother know that he is now able to stand on his own.
"Coo."
The white dove that had been fed "blood" by Nagato for a long time was able to communicate with him spiritually. It nodded, spread its wide wings, and flew away from Nagato's shoulder.
Just in time, the tallest bell tower rang the evening bell.
Dong! Dong! Dong!
Dozens of white pigeons circled and soared in the dim yellow sky. The city, including the surrounding area within a thousand meters, was shrouded in the wings of white doves and the sound of dusk bells.
It's like the crows and the death knell for some people.
