"Keep calm and don't shake your hands."
"I, I'm not shaking."
“……”
Listening to the voice that still had a slight tremor, Tori looked at the girl's slightly trembling calves, and a helpless smile appeared on his face.
Sure enough, no matter how determined she is or how nicely she speaks, she is just a little kid who has never seen blood.
He knew very well the process and reasons for the demise of the Land of Whirlpool.
Without the assistance of Lord Kumokawa, the Uzumaki clan would have met a very tragic end, with only one or two people being able to escape.
Because of the situation at that time, even if those old men from the Land of Whirlpool chose to burn themselves to death, the most they could do was to deal with the decapitation team headed by the Suikazan Fuguki, and buy a chance for others to escape from the Land of Whirlpool.
However, the Land of Whirlpools is surrounded by the sea on three sides, and there is no time to escape by boat. The only option is to flee to the Land of Fire.
However, the Uzumaki clan, who were honest and hot-tempered but betrayed by Konoha, would never beg for protection from the Land of Fire even if they died.
Not to mention, the main force of Kirigakure chasing behind them would not be able to let them achieve their wish.
In addition to Konoha's betrayal, the main reason for the destruction of the Land of Whirlpool was that it was intoxicated with the false status quo, deceived by the peace in front of it, neglected its guard, and fell into a period of transition.
Therefore, when the fatal crisis came, it was impossible for it to respond quickly.
As the daughter of the Uzumaki clan leader, she has been pampered since birth. This was the first time Uzumaki Yoriko would kill someone, and the instinctive resistance and fear stemming from her psychological state was naturally not so easy to control.
After arriving in City Of Dawn, Tori was forced to read many books because of Kumokawa's semi-forced re-education policy.
Among them, there was a book called "Psychological Observation Records and Analysis" written by a "psychologist", which left a deep impression on him.
It states that most ninjas, especially those from the five major ninja villages, and especially female ninjas, generally show resistance and fear during their first kill.
It's not that they are afraid of the "consequences" of the act of "killing", but they are instinctively afraid and resisting the "process" of "killing".
Tori could empathize. He was just a biological researcher and not a ninja who needed to kill people. He still felt an instinctive fear when he killed a mouse for the first time.
When a lively, furry creature is held in your inexperienced hands, it will struggle, it will twist, and it will make unpleasant noises.
At that moment, the meaning of the word "life" will reach its maximum in your heart, and you will tremble with fear and feel nausea.
Because you will imagine the feedback of crushing its bones and bursting its internal organs, and these are the embodiment of the so-called concept of "killing".
Even killing a little white mouse is like this, let alone a living person.
In fact, it was just as Tori thought.
"huuu!"
Yiko lay on the flat sandbag platform, holding the sniper ninja tool tightly in her hand, sensing the high-speed moving figure in the distance, and she couldn't suppress her deep breathing at all.
She thought that as long as she had a good attitude she could treat this as an ordinary target practice, but when she really opened Kagura's mind's eye and sensed the two figures a thousand meters away, the pressure on her heart made her realize how ridiculous her thoughts were.
Because of the characteristics of the Gift Of The Hermit Group, Kaku stood still to maintain that movement when facing Oyashiro En's attack. Only the Buddha statue behind him kept punching.
So, Yiko only had one chance to shoot.
There is only one chance to pull the trigger.
If the first shot misses, it will instantly alert the old bald man. It is impossible for the other party to stand still and serve as a living target. The difficulty of shooting at a moving target and a fixed target is completely different.
This thought made her feel as if her whole body was wrapped in a cocoon. The air was locked outside and no matter how hard she tried to breathe, she couldn't draw it into her nasal cavity. Her heart was beating so violently that it seemed like it was about to burst out of her throat.
To fire this shot, one not only needs to suppress the instinctive fear, but also the inner pressure.
"Take a deep breath and don't stress."
Tori was half-crouching beside Yiko, with a white dove standing on its shoulder.
These white doves are also called "blood pigeons" because they were fed with the blood of "Demons".
With the help of the "blood" connection, they can share vision within a certain range, forming a high-altitude monitoring network to take in the entire city.
Tori is now sharing the view with the blood pigeon a thousand meters away, and can see two figures fighting in the distance from a bird's-eye view.
"Think about the shooting and sniping skills that Lord Kumokawa and I taught you." He whispered to comfort and remind her.
“……”
Yiko's tongue gently licked her dry and chapped lips, and she seemed to hear that familiar and gentle voice in her ears.
"Yiko, when sniping, your breathing should not be disordered, but don't hold your breath deliberately either."
'Holding your breath can indeed make the body "still", but if you aim for too long, the accompanying long-term breath holding will also cause serious negative effects such as brain hypoxia, blurred vision, trembling fingers, etc.'
'Find your own breathing pattern, and keep the breathing frequency at 2:1. It is best to catch the moment when a large amount of air in the body is emptied by exhaling, and gently pull the trigger.'
'Also, before pulling the trigger, don't put your finger on the trigger easily. In order to ensure shooting accuracy, this ninja tool is equipped with a micro-force trigger. The slightest shake will trigger the bullet to be fired.'
After recalling that gentle yet stern voice, Yiko subconsciously placed her finger on the trigger, and her originally deep breathing gradually began to stabilize.
"Forget about the shooting angles of depression and inclination, the trajectory, wind speed, temperature, and the effects of bullets leaving the gun."
"Just remember that not everyone is qualified to fire this shot. Even if I were in your position, I couldn't do better."
'The world you see now is unreal and incomplete, because you see the world with your eyes open. From now on, you must learn to see the world with your eyes closed.'
Yiko exhaled, slowly closed her eyes, and completely abandoned the sight.
In a trance, she seemed to feel someone leaning over from behind, reaching out and gently holding her hand holding the gun, and whispered: "Trust your feelings, treat the first bullet as your last, and the only bullet you have."
"Then, you just have to wait for the wind to rise, follow the wind, and finally..."
At the same time, in the barrier a thousand meters away, blood rain and golden light continued to splash.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
Countless golden fist shadows once again smashed several blood dragons into bloody rain, and the blood dragons that condensed again became visibly more transparent and thinner.
"Tsk, damn turtle shell."
Looking at Kaku, whose offensive and defensive tactics were flawless, blood flowed from Oyashiro En's scarlet eyes.
There is no doubt that although it is not as good as the Three Tomoe Sharingan in terms of illusion, and it can't awaken into a Mangekyō like the Sharingan, the Ketsuryūgan is more practical than the Three Tomoe Sharingan.
The only drawback is that both turning a person into a "human bomb" and using ninjutsu require blood.
Because of this, there was nothing he could do about the old bald donkey who had lived from the Warring States Period to the present and had become very experienced. The old guy simply didn't look at him and didn't give him any chance to contact him.
"Namu-Amidabutsu."
Sensing the increasingly impatient attack of Oyashiro En, Kaku closed his eyes, chanted a Buddhist name, and smiled, "Mr. Oyashiro, it's time for you to turn back. If you keep fighting like this, you will die."
"... Humph!" Oyashiro En narrowed his eyes and said coldly, "Old bald donkey, stop pretending here. You must be so panicked now that you can't wait to turn around and run away."
Hearing this, Kaku, who had been very calm, twitched his eyes slightly.
Even after decades of training his mind, he can hardly keep a straight face. One can imagine how anxious he is right now.
On the surface it seems that he has the upper hand now, but he is now on someone else's territory, and the owner of this place may take action at any time.
That guy is different from a pure ninjutsu user like Miyashiro En. Kaku doesn't think that he can withstand the sword that even Tsunade couldn't withstand.
If he hadn't been entangled by Oyashiro En, he would have escaped when he realized that something was wrong.
However, what puzzled Kaku was why Tsukimi Sato Kumokawa, who had crippled Konoha's Tsunade and killed Amegakure's Musashi, hadn't taken action yet.
He still has a trump card in hand to deal with that guy.
At this moment, Oyashiro En had the same doubts as him, and also felt some regret in his heart.
"I wanted to use this to show my sincerity and strength, but I didn't expect this old guy to be so difficult to deal with. He happens to be the type I am not good at dealing with."
"That red-haired brat, is he really not going to help me? He's just going to watch us fight to the death and then jump out to pick the peaches in the end?"
Oyashiro En now felt regretful and ashamed when he thought about how he had promised before that he would definitely get rid of this old guy.
"It's shameful, so shameful. If this continues, I won't even have the face to discuss cooperation."
Oyashiro En gritted his teeth, took out a kunai, and gently cut his wrist.
In an instant, a stream of blood gushed out from the wrists, and then both hands were raised and placed in front and behind the body respectively, as if drawing a bow.
"I really don't want to use this trick."
Oyashiro En's face turned slightly pale, and the blood flowing from his wrists was compressed into arrows in his palms. He pointed at Kaku in the distance and shouted: "Ketsuryūgan·Piercing Blood!"
As soon as he finished speaking, a condensed blood arrow shot out instantly, piercing through the rain and fog with a sharp sound, and pierced into Kaku's chest in front of the golden Buddha statue.
Kaku was not at all flustered when he saw this. His eyes, which had been tightly closed, suddenly opened, and anger rose in his solemn and peaceful expression.
The golden Buddha statue with closed eyes behind him changed instantly, becoming dyed blood-red, and transformed from a thousand-armed Buddha statue into a furious statue.
"Acala: Furious Eyes!"
BANG!!
The Buddha statue with an angry and ferocious expression behind Kaku threw out countless scarlet fist shadows, turning the extremely penetrating blood arrow into blood water that sprinkled from the air.
The fist shadow continued to move forward with unabated momentum as it slammed towards Oyashiro En!
"How is that possible?" Oyashiro En's face changed instantly.
That old guy actually has something else up his sleeve? !
"Sinner, go to hell!" Kaku's face looked hideous and terrifying with an angry smile.
But in the next moment, a scene that no one expected occurred.
A piercing scream sounded in Oyashiro En's ears.
The smile on Kaku's face froze. He felt as if his brain was exploding, the blood in his body was boiling, and the back of his head felt like it was being pricked by needles.
He knew what it felt like.
This is what death feels like.
This feeling of death had appeared countless times in the decades he had lived, but he had never felt it so strongly. Every cell in his body was screaming, and his heartbeat stopped at this moment.
The wind picked up.
Bang!!
On the top floor a thousand meters away, Yiko was lying on the ground with her red hair fluttering in the wind. She gently pulled the trigger with her finger, and the ninja tool in her hand shattered the sandbag below at the moment of the explosion.
The bullet whistling with the wind flew into the rain and was submerged. Kaku's hideous and stiff smiling face was frozen.
In the reflection of Oyashiro En's astonished eyes, the conical projectile wrapped in rain and mist drew a clear trajectory in the rain curtain, like a falling meteor, and flew over half of City of Dawn in an instant.
The bloody, angry-looking statue was unable to resist at all, allowing the bullet to approach the bald donkey's white and plump forehead inch by inch.
The rotating tip dug a small bloody pit on his forehead, digging away the flesh and blood to reveal the white frontal bone, which then began to crack into a spider-web-like pattern.
Boom!!
The next moment, Kaku's head exploded like a firework, and red and white blood appeared as mist in the air.
Under the devout gaze of the monks, only a headless corpse was left lying on its back, falling backwards to the ground in an ugly posture.
“……”
A thousand meters away, Yiko opened her eyes dazedly, staring into the distance without saying a word.
"Yi, Yiko?"
Tori who was holding his breath beside her took a deep breath, looked at Yiko who was unmoved and asked tentatively: "Are you okay?"
But when he saw Yiko's face clearly, he was stunned for a moment.
It was a face with tears and a smile.
"What?" The girl murmured, "It turns out to be such a simple thing."
Looking at Yiko's expression, Tori suddenly remembered something.
He suddenly remembered the first thought that came to his mind when he killed the little white mouse for the first time.
——It turns out, Life is such a cheap thing.
Because, as long as you find the right method, you just need to pinch the mouse's neck with your left hand to ensure that its neck will not move even if it struggles, then hold the base of the tail with your right hand, and quickly and forcefully pull the base of the tail upward and backward of the mouse.
With a "click".
The entire killing process, which should have made people continue to feel the meaning of "life", was suddenly condensed into the special feeling when the cervical vertebrae were separated, and the last twitching of the hind limbs of the mouse after its death.
Suddenly you will realize that the process of killing a life doesn’t seem so terrible, and not so unacceptable.
Yes.
You can kill a person just by pulling the trigger from a thousand meters away, and you won't feel the weight of life at all.
It was like a candle flame, blowing gently.
Rise with the wind and die with the wind.
“……”
Tori took a deep breath and murmured, "Did we create something terrible?"
At this moment, his original contempt for this ninja tool disappeared completely.
Instead, there was fear, the fear of Kumokawa who handed them the drawings with a smile on his face.
