🕑 Added 2024-09-20 13:37:33 +0000 UTCChapter 169: Gift of the Hermit Group, a Group of Bald Donkeys
In the City of Dawn, in a hotel room.
Although the doors and windows were locked and the curtains were drawn, the gathering of several shiny heads still reflected the dim light outside.
"Master Kaku, Senior Brothers, there really is something wrong with this place."
A white-faced, beardless monk slightly opened the curtains, leaned sideways and looked out the window through the gap, frowned and said, "There are obviously many bounty ninjas and bounty teams that sneaked into the city at the same time as us, but there is no movement at all."
"Not only that, there are a lot of strange guys outside. They seem to be the so-called 'Security Department' in the intelligence we interrogated?"
After saying that, he lowered the slightly raised curtain and turned to look at the people behind him.
In the dim and gloomy space, only a few flickering candles were lit, casting shadows on the monks who were praying with their heads bowed and their hands clasped together.
"People and gods look up to you, transcend the five turbidities, go to the Pure Land, transcend the Pure Land, and travel to the Pure Land..."
In the semicircle formed by the monks, an old monk was kneeling there, with his left hand raised in front of his chest, slowly fiddling with a string of crystal beads, and muttering devoutly with his eyes closed.
"The earth returns to the silent light, the world of Saha is gone, the soul returns to bliss, the soul returns to the rest, the soul returns to the pure land..."
The monotonous chanting echoed in the room, and the entire room fell into silence, as if even breathing had become a blasphemy.
Dull, solemn and dignified.
But if someone looks at the old monk's right hand, they will feel an extremely incongruous sense of horror and weirdness.
Because right in front of him, in the middle of the room, a dead body was lying there.
The corpse's face was covered by his left hand. Large streams of blood flowed out of the body like a spring, gathering on the ground to form a pool of blood, filling the entire room with a disgusting smell of blood.
"Namu-Amidabutsu."
After chanting and chanting the Buddha's name, the old monk called "Master Kaku" opened his eyes and looked at the young monk with a turbid and gentle look, as if he did not blame him for destroying the solemn atmosphere just now.
"Haiboku, even though you have only been ordained for a short time, you still have to respect the deceased."
He just put his hands together and said with a regretful tone, "Also, it's not an interrogation, but an inquiry. It's a pity that this donor's six senses are not pure. We treated him with sincerity, but he actually had angry thoughts. We can only help him let go of his delusions and purify his six senses."
"Namu-Amidabutsu." Several monks bowed their heads and chanted the Buddha's name.
“…Yes, Master.” Haiboku bowed his head respectfully.
"As for the abnormality here, it is also expected."
Kaku closed his eyes and said calmly, "The young daimyo had a conflict with the owner of this place a long time ago. The owner of the 'Bloodline Limit: Transparent Release' under his command died here."
"After lurking for half a year, not only did he not bring back any useful information, but when he finally met the daimyo, all that was left was a head wrapped in a gift box, and there was even a trace of regret on that face."
“What I have seen and heard along the way has answered the doubts in my heart.”
At this point, he slowly exhaled, and said in a gentle and gratified tone: "Such a place full of falsehood and lies is nothing short of bliss for those numb and lowly people."
"The ability to bewitch people is truly terrifying. If I had the chance, I would really like to meet the owner of this place. Unfortunately, I'm afraid I don't have this opportunity anymore."
At this point, Kaku chanted a Buddhist name and said compassionately: "After all, even the sinner from the Chinoike Clan has come. It is only a matter of time before everyone here is slaughtered."
"The Chinoike Clan?"
Haiboku, who had been bowing his head, raised his head with a somewhat confused expression.
What kind of clan is this?
"It's not surprising that you don't know. The Chinoike Clan has become history. Even though they had a very glorious history in the past, they will eventually fall."
Kaku's cloudy eyes flashed with memories, and he said: "The history of the Chinoike Clan can be traced back to the same era as the Uchiha and Hyuga, but they are not as lucky as the Uchiha and Hyuga of the Land of Fire."
"They have a deep connection with the Land of Lightning. Before the establishment of the Ninja Village, the daughter of the head of the Chinoike Clan married the then Daimyo of the Land of Lightning as a concubine, and her status in the Land of Lightning also rose accordingly."
At this point, Kaku sighed and said, "It's a pity that because the daughter of the Chinoike Clan leader was gentle and beautiful, she was envied by the wife of the Daimyo of the Land of Lightning."
"Not long after marrying her, the Daimyo of the Land of Lightning passed away. The wife then convicted the daughter of the chief of the Chinoike Clan in the name of the star of misfortune. At the same time, the Chinoike Clan was also exiled from the Land of Lightning."
"The exiled Chinoike Clan still harbored delusional dreams and were unwilling to accept defeat. They wanted to resist, but they didn't expect that the wife of the Daimyo of the Land of Lightning would hire the Uchiha Clan, who hadn't founded Konoha at the time."
"Although the Chinoike Clan also possesses the very outstanding Eye Technique Ketsuryūgan Eye, they are still no match for the Uchiha Clan, and their resistance was quickly suppressed."
"After that, the daimyo's wife gave a generous commission and asked the Uchiha clan to send people to monitor the Chinoike clan all year round."
Kaku slowly told the story of the past, and Haiboku and several other monks all showed a look of astonishment in their eyes.
They didn't expect that the Chinoike Clan of the Land of Lightning had such a complicated relationship with the Uchiha Clan of the Land of Fire decades ago.
Even in the Land of Lightning and Konoha, few people knew about this matter. After all, it was already a scandal.
However, Kaku is a monk who has lived from the Warring States Period to the present. Even though he was forced to leave because of disagreements with the young daimyo, he still knows the history and secrets of the ninja world like the back of his hand.
"Master, what's going on with that sinner from the Chinoike Clan?" Haiboku asked respectfully.
"I don't know much either." Kaku shook his head and said frankly, "The exiled Chinoike Clan lives in the barren land of the Land of Lightning, isolated from the outside world. I have hardly heard any news about them."
"After that, there was news that the Chinoike Clan was annihilated, and only the criminal who exterminated the clan escaped. I also learned from the intelligence network not long ago that the president of the Waki Real Estate Company was suspected of possessing the Ketsuryūgan Eye."
“Ketsuryūgan Eye…” Haiboku lowered his head and asked subconsciously, “Master, from what you said, Ketsuryūgan Eye is very powerful?”
"Hehe." Kaku tapped his smooth head gently, smiled and said gently, "If the 'Ketsuryūgan Eye' was not strong, why would the daimyo's wife spend a lot of money to hire the 'Sharingan' to suppress it?"
"The Ketsuryūgan Eyes of the Chinoike Clan are very special and strange."
Haiboku touched his head that was hit, looked at the body lying on the ground with its eyes open, and asked, "What should we do next? We have collected almost all the information. It seems that there is no force in this place that can threaten us."
So, should we wait until night falls before taking action?
"The mantis stalks the cicada, unaware of the oriole behind. Don't be impatient, don't be impatient."
Kaku shook his head, closed his eyes and clasped his hands together, saying: "As far as I know, in addition to us, the 'Monks' and the guy from the Chinoike clan, there are also bounty teams such as the Black Warriors and the 'Shadows' who have accepted the mission."
"Even if the 'Shadow' is fighting alone, his strength cannot be underestimated. Once a firefight breaks out, it will not be a simple fight. So we should wait until they are done, and then we can take action and send these poor people here to the Pure Land..."
As he spoke, Kaku suddenly paused, opened his eyes abruptly, and turned to look towards the door.
The next moment, a hand pushed open the door.
"Who?"
Hearing the voice, Haiboku and the other monks' faces changed and they suddenly turned their heads to look towards the door.
But after seeing that familiar face, their tense bodies subconsciously relaxed.
"So it's my junior brother." Haiboku frowned and said arrogantly, "Why didn't you even knock on the door? Have you forgotten the etiquette that the Master taught you?"
The person who came was a junior fellow student with the least experience among them, who was sent out to collect intelligence.
The moment the other party walked in, Haiboku subconsciously sensed the chakra aura and confirmed the other party's identity.
However, the figure did not give any response to his senior brother's questioning.
Haiboku's face darkened and he subconsciously took a step forward, about to say something.
But then he saw that figure staggering into the room, and the thin red light from outside the window shone in through the curtains, revealing a face with empty eyes and a dull look.
"You..." Haiboku was stunned for a moment, then his heart skipped a beat and he blurted out, "Illusion?"
Is this a hallucination?
The moment the thought came to mind, the swaying figure tensed up and suddenly pounced towards them.
And seeing that he was not holding any weapon and did not pose any threat, several of the monks subconsciously stepped forward and tried to control him, to help him disrupt the chakra in his body and release the control of the illusion.
However, Kaku, who was frowning as he looked at the figure, finally saw the wound faintly exposed under the clothes. He seemed to realize something, and his sagging old face suddenly changed color and his eyes widened.
"No, that's... Ketsuryūgan Eye!?"
He stretched out his left hand and placed the index finger in front of him, and bent the palm of his right hand slightly under his body, while shouting to the monks: "Retreat! Don't get close to him!"
But it's too late.
Gulp! Gulp!
Strange blood bubbles suddenly appeared on the monk's wound.
The surface of the body's skin also began to show irregular distortions, as if there were some creatures constantly moving around in the body.
The monks subconsciously stopped their steps and saw that their "junior brother"'s body suddenly swelled up like a balloon, and his skin and clothes burst because he could not withstand the pressure brought by the expansion.
The next moment, bloody light and flames were reflected in their eyes.
boom!!
Haiboku, who was the farthest from the door, was instantly blown away by the explosion that was only three meters away. The windows and walls behind him were shattered!
Not only the walls, but also the ground floors were blasted open by the explosion, completely destroyed and collapsed, revealing a shocking pit.
“Ahem!!”
Haiboku collapsed to the ground with his blood boiling and eyes blackening. He felt that his ears had been damaged by the explosion. Wet blood flowed down at his cheeks and then to the ground.
"What happened? Ketsuryūgan Eye? What?"
His mind was in a daze, and he looked up, and saw a horrifying scene in front of him.
Thick black smoke billowed into the air, flying flesh and blood dyed the surroundings red, and the cracked walls dropped white flakes like snow.
A large amount of blood seeped out from the ground, turning the earth red.
The heat and stench that hit him in the face, even with a hint of meaty aroma, felt extremely pungent and nauseating.
And in front of him was a golden thousand-armed Buddha statue.
That is the secret technique of the Fire Temple of the Fire Kingdom, and Gift of the Hermit Group, Welcoming Approach: Thousand-Armed Murder.
"Oh, it's really easy for me to find you, old bald donkey."
Following a very incongruous voice, the figure of Oyashiro En walked out from the blood mist.
Although he was walking on the bloody ground, his flashy leather shoes were not stained with a single stain of blood.
Behind him, a white dove landed on the roof, stretched out its pointed beak to peck at its feathers, then looked up, the two figures reflected in its dark red pupils.
"Namu-Amidabutsu."
Kaku just bowed his head slightly and chanted a Buddhist name, then looked at the young man in front of him with a kind look, and said in a gentle tone: "Mr. Oyashiro, you and I have no hatred. I am just visiting as a guest this time. Why do you want to attack us?"
"Guest?"
Oyashiro En reached out and pushed down the slightly funny sunglasses on his face, and looked up and down at Kaku in the distance carefully.
He immediately raised his eyebrows and sneered, then took out the invitation letter to show off, and snorted, "Guests with invitation letters are guests. Those who come without invitation letters are called 'uninvited guests'."
"I'm sorry, but from what I know, the owner here doesn't like 'uninvited guests', and he doesn't like you bald asses who pretend to be mysterious and merciful even more."
"And I, the 'guest', am happy to do the job and get rid of you annoying bald asses."
His voice was not loud, but it was enough to cause an echo in the dilapidated hotel, causing Kaku's lowered eyes to surge with vigilance and anger.
The expression on the face of the kind and gentle Thousand-Armed Murder behind him also gradually became solemn and angry.
The current development has completely exceeded the old monk's expectations.
He never thought that the madman who slaughtered the entire Chinoike Clan would be so polite to the host here. Not only was he invited through formal channels, but now he even planned to stand on the side that is opposite to him.
Is there anything in this shabby place that this crazy lunatic should be afraid of or covet?
"Okay."
Oyashiro En stopped moving forward, stood on the pile of blood and body parts, looked at the old bald donkey, and raised the corner of his mouth slightly, revealing a very cold smile: "Buddha is merciful, so, can you please die and fulfill my wish?"
As he finished speaking, the blood mist that filled his body gradually began to gather, and the pool of blood under his feet churned violently like boiling water.
The next moment, a huge Ketsuryūgan condensed from under his feet, which was as tall as the Thousand-Armed Murder.
