BANG!!
The moment the tall figure landed, the wind and waves created because of this made the surrounding trees look like they were being brushed by a giant hand.
And in the eyes of the blue-haired Taki-nin who was looking down from a high place, the emerald green water surface formed by the dense trees formed a circle of waves visible to the naked eye, pushing towards him from a distance.
"What is that?" The blue-haired Taki nin clenched the kunai in his hand and frowned.
When the smoke and dust completely dissipated, the tall figure that gradually appeared made the Takigakure ninjas open their eyes wide.
The guy who suddenly appeared was obviously different from normal humans. The main difference was his exaggeratedly strong body.
His height was estimated to be close to two meters and five feet, and his back was slightly hunched as if he had a low hump, but that was actually the muscles on his neck. Standing there, he was able to block their view of Kakuzu.
His muscles were an abnormally iron-gray color, and at first glance, he looked like a black wall.
Those eyes were not of the same color and shape as an ordinary person's, but a strange scarlet color and had vertical pupils like a snake.
The words "Upper Rank" and "Six" were engraved on his left and right pupils respectively, and just looking into his eyes made the Takigakure ninjas feel extremely uneasy.
"Who are you?"
The blue-haired Taki-nin narrowed his eyes slightly, raised the kunai in his hand towards him, and said in a deep voice, "The guy you are protecting behind you now is an S-rank rebel ninja from our Takigakure Village."
"Get out of the way now. I can pretend nothing happened, but if you insist on stopping me..."
From the face that seemed to be covered with a hard substance like scales, he could vaguely recognize the cold features of a middle-aged man.
It was very strange and depressing, it didn't look human at all.
Even though he had already spoken, the burly figure still did not move, but just stood there silently and motionlessly.
He just stood there, staring at them with his scarlet vertical pupils. The aura of cruelty that he exuded was like a monster, like a predator in the jungle staring at its prey, which was enough to make the Takigakure ninjas feel chills in their hearts.
And in the shadow behind the burly figure of "Yoru", Kumokawa, who was squatting, looked at Kakuzu who was sitting on the ground with his back against a big tree, and a look of interest flashed in his eyes.
Although he was dying, he was still alive with such injuries, which showed that he had strong vitality.
If it was an ordinary ninja, he would have died already.
"Should it be these black tentacles?"
After asking Kakuzu whether he wanted to be his minister, Kumokawa did not rush to ask Kakuzu for his answer.
Somewhat impolitely, he reached out and poked Kakuzu's head. Kumokawa smiled politely but curiously and said, "Mr. Kakuzu, do you still have a brain now?"
There was not a single piece of flesh and blood on Kakuzu's body. It seemed that apart from his skin, there were only black tentacles filling his body.
If I remember correctly, it seems that Kakuzu will only truly die when all five hearts are destroyed.
Doesn't that mean that it doesn't matter if the brain is destroyed?
Or, as Kumokawa said, Kakuzu actually has no brain anymore, and those black lines not only serve as the internal organs, but also the human brain?
What a magical creation.
He can no longer be called a human being.
However, the black tentacles that were once lively and energetic have now wilted, spreading out on the cold ground like algae, with only the ends twitching weakly, and it is obvious that they have no ability to move.
“…”
When Kakuzu heard the kid next to him ask if he had no brains, his already dark face turned even darker.
He tilted his head and looked at the seemingly defenseless kid with his green eyes. He said in a hoarse voice, "Kid, are you here... for my bounty?"
He spoke incoherently and was extremely weak.
The fire-attribute masked monster was also destroyed by Takigakure Ninja, and now he only has the wind-attribute and earth-attribute hearts left.
If the two hearts were destroyed again, it would be the end of this immortal being.
The other party took action before he was killed by the Takigakure Village, and deliberately let that monster-like burly guy block him and himself. It was obvious that he could only hide his identity in exchange for a bounty.
However, although he was not afraid of death, he would never allow himself to be killed. Even if he was going to die, he would drag a few valuable guys with him...
"Bounty? Are you worth a lot?"
Kumokawa's voice interrupted Kakuzu's thoughts, and when he came back to his senses and looked back, he was stunned.
At some point, Kumokawa had a booklet in his hand, which he flipped through casually.
After recognizing the booklet, Kakuzu's dark green pupils shrank.
That was clearly the bounty book he held in his arms, with every item recorded.
As a result, before he even noticed, it somehow ended up in the hands of that brat.
"Eighty million ryo, Mr. Kakuzu, your life is indeed very valuable."
Kumokawa was also a little surprised at the price offered by Takigakure Village. Eighty million ryo was roughly equivalent to two and a half Asumas.
However, when I think about the fact that Kakuzu was one of the reasons for the decline of Takigakure Village, I am no longer surprised by this number.
"Although it's a lot, I just made more than a billion ryo not long ago, and I'm not too short of money right now, so this time I'm not looking for a bounty."
Kumokawa smiled and looked up at Kakuzu and said, "As I said, I wish to formally invite you to join us as the head of my finance department."
"Haha."
Kakuzu seemed to have heard a bad joke and couldn't help but sneer. He looked at Kumokawa with an idiotic look and said, "More than a billion ryo? There should be a limit to your bragging, kid. Do you think more than a billion ryo is easy to earn?"
"As expected, you young people don't know the value of money at all. You have no concept of money at all."
Looking at Kakuzu acting like a senior, Kumokawa nodded in agreement, but he felt a little funny in his heart.
This guy didn't listen to the invitation at all.
To Kakuzu, his words probably meant "But I made over a billion ryo, so I'm not short of money."
"Don't even mention billions. Do you know what 100 million ryo is? Even if you use a few money boxes, it won't be enough!"
Kakuzu's eyes were a little dazed, but he was still mumbling to himself, "How dare you say that you made more than a billion ryo? You're just bragging, aren't you afraid of getting your tongue snapped by the wind..."
Bang!
The sudden sound interrupted Kakuzu's next words, and he subconsciously lowered his head, which had been gradually raised.
Kumokawa placed a scroll on the ground, which caused a burst of white smoke. When the smoke gradually dissipated, a tightly sealed box appeared in front of Kakuzu.
"Is this the kind of box you're talking about?"
Facing Kakuzu's dull gaze, Kumokawa smiled and patted the box, making a dull, solid "dong dong" sound, and said, "Guess how much money can be put in here? I have dozens of boxes like this."
And when Kumokawa used the scroll to blast out white smoke behind Yoru, the blue-haired Taki Ninja, who was originally standing on the tree confronting Yoru, raised his hand and threw out the explosive kunai almost without hesitation.
He aimed at Yoru's head, or rather, at Yoru's eyes.
After all, this is the most vulnerable point of this seemingly very strong body.
The back of the eye socket is directly connected to the brain nerves, so as long as the shot is accurate, it is not a fantasy to solve the problem in one go.
Then, the kunai that had been accumulating energy for a long time cut through the air and shot towards Yoru's eyes with a sharp whistle.
The blue-haired Taki-nin's timing of grabbing was perfect, striking without warning or stepping on the sudden noise behind him.
In the eyes of the blue-haired Taki-nin who was unaware of the truth, it was very likely that Kakuzu wanted to escape, and faced with this unexpected situation, the big guy was very likely to lose his mind.
The other Takigakure ninjas thought so too. They had almost all seen the bloody scene of kunai piercing the brain, kunai exploding, and blood splattering everywhere, but the dazzling sparks that burst out next made their surprised faces freeze.
Yoru's eyes did shift backwards, but even without looking, he could smell the explosive tag. He raised two thick fingers and gently pinched the kunai.
Snap! Bang!
The kunai's iron sheet was crushed by the fingers, and the crisp sound echoed in everyone's ears. Then the explosive tag exploded, and the smoke and dust obscured the vision.
When the smoke and dust had completely dissipated, Yoru put down his unharmed arm that was blocking in front of him, revealing his scarlet vertical pupils full of brutality again.
"Be quicker, and..." Kumokawa's slightly gentle voice came from behind, "Don't be too reluctant to fight."
"Yes."
The next moment, under the fierce gazes of the Takigakure ninjas, he suddenly took a step back, and all the muscles in his body flowed and compressed like water.
This was not a sign of escape, but a pounce by a wild beast.
Boom!
The ground beneath his feet was directly cracked into spider webs by the power he burst out, and the reaction force carried several Takigakure ninjas under the tree in the distance into the air.
The Taki ninja who was blown away had a look of confusion and helplessness on his face. Before he could even react, two arms thicker than his thighs grabbed him.
In mid-air, five muscular fingers opened up, and palms covered with blue veins pressed against their faces, pinching the heads of two of them.
Bang!
Blood columns mixed with scarlet and white flew up, gathering into a filthy pool of blood on the gray and black dirty ground.
And as the pupils of the Takigakure ninjas shrank instantly, two twisted heads with a piece of cervical vertebrae still attached flew up, leaving two extremely violent and brutal screams in the air.
"Mr. Kakuzu." Kumokawa stared at Kakuzu without even raising his head and said with a smile, "Let's go to a place where there are no outsiders to continue our conversation."
As he said this, he put the box back into the scroll.
"You……"
Kakuzu shifted his gaze from the empty ground to that gentle yet immature face, and asked in confusion, "How did you get so much money?"
With his keen sense of smell for banknotes, he could naturally smell the familiar "smell of money". With his strong eyesight and experience, he could also tell how much money the box could hold.
One hundred million ryo, in cash.
If it is true as this kid said, he has more than a dozen boxes like this, then he really has more than ten billion.
How did a kid get so much money?
"To get involved you need power and background. This is the benefit of having power and background." Kumokawa put the scroll in his arms, looked at Kakuzu and said with a smile, "Want to learn? Join us and I'll teach you how to make money."
"...Boring, do you think I will believe you?" Kakuzu looked away with difficulty, not knowing whether it was because of his injury or because of reluctance and heartbeat.
But he still held his head high and said firmly: "Don't even bother asking me to join. I have no interest in any organization."
In this hypocritical world, there is only betrayal between people, no one is trustworthy, and only money can warm him.
"Don't worry, Mr. Kakuzu." Kumokawa held Kakuzu in his arms with one hand and said indifferently, "You will change your mind, so now, let's save you first."
"Hmph." Kakuzu snorted weakly, "Don't think I'll join you out of gratitude. It's useless."
"You can only be so stubborn and be laughed off as tsundere and cute until you reach adulthood." Kumokawa's smile remained unchanged, "It's really not cute when a 70- or 80-year-old guy says something like that."
This brat, what a mean mouth! Kakuzu,
who was held by him at the waist, was already very angry, and after hearing these words, he was even more angry that his eyes went dark.
His already drowsy consciousness completely engulfed him, and he closed his eyes unwillingly and powerlessly.
"Don't worry, I will cure you. After all, I am also interested."
Kumokawa gave Kakuzu a meaningful look, raised his head to look at the dust in the distance, and used the power of [Bloodborne] to say, "It's time to go. There's still a long way to go."
BANG!!
In the distance, Yoru raised his hand and blasted a Taki nin into minced meat, and paused when he received Kumokawa's information.
And at this moment, a dazzling light suddenly appeared under his eyes.
Obviously, the guys who died just now joined forces to stick several explosive tags on his abdomen at once. After they were lit before they died, the blazing halo expanded instantly.
Bang! Bang! Bang! !
Several explosions exploded on Yoru's body without reservation at close range.
The two feet that were firmly fixed on the ground were shaken two fingers away from the ground, and a large amount of blue-black blood flowed out from the abdomen that had experienced multiple explosions.
And in the blind spot behind Yoru, several Takigakure ninjas, including the blue-haired Takigakure ninja, appeared at the same time, and water condensed in their hands to form sharp water blades.
Water Style: Water Fang Blade!
However, when several water blades slashed at Yoru's body, sparks of metal collision actually burst out, like cold flame fireworks being ignited.
The force and sharpness of each cut were enough to cut through the hard rock, but it barely left a cut a few centimeters deep on his body. If it went any deeper, it would be stuck in the hard and knotted muscles, and the recoil of the muscles and bones would cause pain in his wrist.
The person who felt the most and also cut the deepest was the blue-haired Taki-nin who was most proficient in changing chakra forms.
Phew!
He chopped all the way from the side of the neck to the deep end, cutting the flesh that was as hard as steel inch by inch, and finally severed the dense nerves in the neck.
But when it was about to reach the throat, a hand pressed on the blade, and the palm and flesh dug deep into the blade, bursting out with absolute power, holding back the forward movement of the water blade.
"Huooo!"
A heavy breath with a fishy smell blew on his face. The blue-haired Taki-nin raised his head and looked straight upwards into the pair of vertical pupils, which were full of suppressed violence and murderous intent.
"You have more people this time, but..." Yoru's transformed throat uttered words one by one, and he said coldly, "We will see each other soon."
Under the horrified gaze of the blue-haired Taki ninja, the flesh that was blown apart and torn apart split into long and squirming tentacles like mycelium and came into contact with each other, and in an instant it had healed as before!
At the same time, Yoru suddenly raised his thigh and hit him with a knee.
Crack!!
Even though he subconsciously stretched out his hand to block it, the sharp sound of the hand bones breaking was heard.
Blood spurted out of the blue-haired Taki ninja's mouth and nose, and his eyes went black and he lost consciousness.
The last scene he saw before he completely lost consciousness was the cracked and collapsed ground, the rising dust, and Kakuzu being led by another person in the distance.
