Kumokawa gently raised his right hand and chants came out of his mouth.
Then, flames rose in front of him, a perfect circle without any flaws, hovering in Kumokawa's raised and open palm, like a small sun.
Rain and light have never had such a vivid touch.
The next moment, there seemed to be a sound like glass breaking in the air, but what was breaking was not the glass, but the flame that was compressed to the extreme in front of Kumokawa.
"Hadō No.31: Shakkahō."
As the indifferent decree was issued, the sun shattered and a tide of fire surged out.
Boom!!
The deafening explosion swept across the rain curtain around Kumokawa. The horrific impact caused the ground beneath Kumokawa's feet to crack, lifting his hair to reveal his deep blue pupils.
Behind him, the strong wind and heat wave almost blew the skinny Yahiko away. Fortunately, Yoru behind him stretched out his hands and hugged him tightly, but his face was distorted by the close distance!
“What is this?!”
As soon as Kumokawa started chanting, Tsuyu hid behind the wall without looking back, thus avoiding being blown away by the aftermath.
However, like Yahiko and the others, the overwhelming heat wave distorted the air and rushed towards them like an invisible hand of fire strangling their throats, causing them to subconsciously hold their breath.
His pupils trembled as he stared at the scene, imprinting it in his mind.
He saw that the red waves of fire were like a mighty torrent, and the light emitted by the wave-like flames divided the two sides into different spaces.
The huge tongues of fire spewed out in front of Kumokawa, venting raging flames to the Sand Ninjas in the distance. The rain curtain evaporated in an instant, as if the burning river water was dyed with the red of burning the world.
"Ah!!"
In the face of the surging flames, faces full of fear were illuminated, with mouths wide open letting out wails and screams.
Then, a wave of fire carrying high temperature and impact engulfed all the Sand Ninjas, including Hiruko.
The looming black shadow struggled desperately in the flames, looking like it was hugging itself and dancing madly.
The heavy rain evaporated into a large amount of gas in an instant, and thick white fog covered the entire area in an instant.
But soon, the thick fog was blown away by the flame pressure, and the fog was filled with rain and strong wind again.
The area behind Kumokawa where he was standing was intact, but the area in front of him that was covered by the flames was "empty", with only the pitch-black scorched earth left.
The clustered shock waves and high-temperature fire waves that erupted directly plowed a one-meter-deep gap in the ground. On the scorched earth appeared several skeleton remains that had turned into charcoal but still retained an astonishing residual temperature.
The largest figure among them, which was nearly three meters tall, had its black robe turned to ashes, and only a puppet full of mechanical gears was left standing there.
Sizzle! Sizzle!
The rain poured down on the charred puppet, making constant sounds and turning into white mist.
"Hiss! Cough cough!"
Yahiko subconsciously took a breath of hot air, but inhaled a strange and tempting meaty aroma, which immediately made his pale face turn blue.
But soon, he forced down the heat that was rushing to his throat.
But at this moment, the faint voice of "Yoru" came from behind him: "This smell... reminds me of the newly opened shop funded by Lord Kumokawa in the city, the beggar's chicken is so expensive."
"Take off the iron shell, the meat is firm and chewy, sprinkle some cumin and chili on it, and it's ready to serve."
“…I can’t stand it anymore, ugh!”
Yahiko's face turned from pale to blue and then turned pale again. It was not known whether it was intentional, but he opened his mouth, turned around and spit on "Yoru" behind him.
“…” Looking down at the things on his body, “Yoru” couldn’t help but have a few black lines on his blood-stained face.
"Ahem, stop teasing that brat."
At this time, Tsuyu came over from behind, looked up at the corpses and the cash boxes that had been perfectly avoided, and said, "Hurry up and move the things onto the boat, we have another trip to go."
Hearing this, Yahiko, who was leaning forward and vomiting, seemed to remember something. He suddenly raised his head and sighed, "Yes, we have to hurry over before Takigakure Village destroys Kagero Village, otherwise the gift that the boss prepared for Konan will be gone."
——————
At the same time, at this moment in the Land of Grass.
It was a shabby toilet overgrown with weeds that no one would visit unless they were extremely desperate. However, it was the base of an underground money exchange.
BANG!!
A man wearing a mask and a Takigakure forehead protector threw the corpse he was dragging in front of the person in charge.
The dull sound made a hint of joy flash in his green pupils, as if he was carrying not a corpse but a heavy box full of money.
"A-ranked traitor ninja wanted by Iwagakure Village, bounty: 10 million ryo."
The person in charge was obviously used to this situation. He skillfully took out a booklet from his pocket and compared it with the intact face of the corpse. He looked up at the silent man in front of him and smiled,"As expected of Mr. Kakuzu, the corpses are always so intact, which saves us a lot of trouble."
After that, he took out a black leather suitcase from the counter and pushed it respectfully in front of Kakuzu.
As one of the best bounty ninjas, Kakuzu has unparalleled prestige in the black market circle. Every time he completes a bounty mission, the black market will advance the bounty, saving him time in redeeming the bounty.
But Kakuzu still opened the box on the spot very honestly. His dark green pupils were made even darker by the green banknotes. He stretched out his hand and began to count the bills one by one.
Looking at the bounty ninjas lined up behind him, the person in charge sighed helplessly: "Mr. Kakuzu, you are already regular customers, so you don't have to count them one by one in front of me every time, right?"
"No." Kakuzu counted the money without even looking up, and said in a muffled voice, "In this world, only money can be trusted."
Money will not betray him, and he will not betray money.
Money is his real friend, the rest is shit.
This is the truth he understood after wandering the ninja world alone for decades after being ruthlessly abandoned by the top leaders of Takigakure Village. It is also the life creed he adheres to as a bounty ninja.
Just like that, with the rustling sound of the bills rubbing against each other, Kakuzu finished counting all the money in the cash box.
However, after the first count, Kakuzu frowned slightly.
Then, under the helpless gaze of the person in charge, he actually started counting for the second time.
He counted the money three times, then sighed, took one out, slapped it on the counter in front of the person in charge and said, "There is an extra one hundred ryo. Remember to count it out next time and give it to me."
After saying this, he closed the box again with satisfaction and was about to turn around and leave, but he heard the person in charge behind him speak.
"Mr. Kakuzu, I have a big order. Would you like to consider it?"
Hearing this, Kakuzu paused halfway through his step, then slowly retracted his foot, turned around and stared at the person in charge with his calm dark green pupils.
"...Big order?"
Only after he had stared at the person in charge until he broke into a cold sweat did he speak in a dull and cold voice, "You'd better pray that it's really 'big' enough."
