🕑 Added 2024-08-11 13:33:24 +0000 UTCChapter 129 Yahiko: Huh? Should I fight the boss?
In the classroom, everyone, including Kumokawa, changed into kendo uniforms and hakama, and each was assigned a bamboo sword.
Although this is not the first time they have taken a kendo class, this is the first time Kumokawa teaches them in person, and the excitement on the children's faces cannot be concealed.
"The importance of swordsmanship lies in the basics, steps, postures, and moves, which must be practiced diligently."
Kumokawa's tone was still gentle, but the expression on his face was a little more serious than usual: "Achen-sensei has already taught you the starting hand movements before, right?"
"Holding the sword in the middle is the starting position."
"The next change of moves, whether it is to raise the sword straight down, or to slash diagonally, or to reverse the cassock, you have to adapt accordingly."
As he spoke, he lowered his eyebrows, slowly raised the bamboo sword in his hand, made an upright hand movement, and said word by word along with the movement: "Feet, legs, waist, spine, arms, hands …”
The children's eyes shone slightly. Even those who have never learned kendo can see the charm and feeling from this simple starting point.
For these kids, there's only one description.
--cool.
At least the Achen-sensei who taught them before taught them the correct starting movements, but his performance was only quite satisfactory, without such a smooth and harmonious charm.
However, after the hand gesture was completed, Kumokawa raised his eyes and glanced over with a keen gaze.
At that moment, the children who were looking at each other were suddenly in a trance. They saw the figure taking a step and brandishing the bamboo sword in his hand.
Among them, including Yahiko, who had been staring at Kumokawa, the moment Kumokawa glanced over, his body suddenly took a step back for no reason.
"ah!"
"Ouch! What are you doing?"
The movements of several people were completed almost instantly, and they were so large that they even bumped into the people behind them and were staggered by their movements.
"Yahiko!"
Konan's little face wrinkled in pain, and she looked at Yahiko who stepped on her foot and said, "You stepped on my foot!"
"Ah!" The stunned Yahiko came to his senses, jumped a little exaggeratedly, took back the foot that stepped on Konan, and quickly explained, "I'm sorry, I didn't mean it."
"Yahiko, what's wrong with you?" Yakushi Nonō asked curiously.
Why take a sudden step back?
Even Yahiko himself didn't know the reason.
There was no consciousness in my mind just now, as if it was an action completed by the body on its own.
It felt like when bugs flew towards your eyes, your body subconsciously closed your eyes before you could react.
But when the few people who retreated just looked up in a daze, they saw that Kumokawa had only taken one step forward compared to before.
"The response has been good."
Looking at Yahiko and the retreating people, Kumokawa remembered them in his mind. He stood the bamboo sword in front of him and pointed forward. The faint sense of sharpness also dissipated. He smiled and said: "Come on, let's get this up first."
"Let me see what you have learnt from Achen-sensei."
After hearing this, the students separated their positions skillfully and orderly, and performed sword-holding movements two meters apart from each other.
Kumokawa started from the first row and walked over, correcting their movements one by one.
In the back row, Yahiko's movements are very standard. He holds a sword in the middle, which is like a replica of Kumokawa.
Before his boss came over, Yahiko glanced at the movements of Konan and Nonō beside him, moved two steps and lowered his voice to remind: "Konan, don't hold the sword with the palm upward."
"Sister Nonō, move your right foot forward two centimeters."
Konan and Nonō immediately adjusted their postures upon hearing the sound, and Kumokawa just happened to walk in front of them at this time.
Seeing the two girls who were still a little nervous while holding the sword in the middle, Kumokawa just smiled inwardly and walked past the two of them and walked in front of Yahiko.
In comparison, Yahiko's expression was very relaxed.
He had already practiced in private, and practiced the mid-range sword-holding hand movement thousands of times every day, so Kumokawa would definitely not be able to find any faults.
"It's very standard."
Kumokawa did indeed say what Yahiko expected, but before he could get happy, he saw his boss passing by him and said: "Next, it's swings, let me correct you."
Yahiko was stunned for a moment, thinking of those faint blue pupils with no visible fluctuations, and for a moment he changed from confident and casual to a little guilty and nervous.
Hiss, I shouldn’t have done anything wrong, right?
After calming down, Yahiko held the bamboo sword tightly with both hands, stepped back half a step and raised it above his head.
Immediately, he waved from top to bottom and stopped in front of him to complete.
At the same time, after completing standard swings, everyone including Yahiko looked up and all looked at Kumokawa-sensei.
"Continue." Kumokawa just smiled and said, "Let me see who has done it the most times."
As soon as these words came out, Yahiko calmed down and started to do swings again.
whosh!
For a moment, there was no sound in the entire classroom, only the sound of waving bamboo swords.
At the very beginning, every one of the dozens of consecutive swings were very standard, the sound was uniform, and everyone was doing it very easily.
What Yahiko did was extremely standard. From the angle, strength to amplitude, every vibration was exactly the same, like a ruthless vibration machine.
But they were a group of children after all. When they reached more than 20 people, the sound of sword swings became chaotic, and it was obvious that some people couldn't keep up.
Although the movements are still standard, the slow speed of this fast down and up movement means greater physical exertion.
The principle is the same as doing push-ups and pull-ups slowly. Completing one push-up or pull-up slowly in one minute is more difficult than completing three push-ups or pull-ups in one minute.
After doing more than forty times in a row, many people's movements begin to go out of shape.
The height of the bamboo sword when it was raised to the eye level was not high enough, and the angle when it was raised above the head gradually began to deviate, and even the standing legs began to tremble slightly.
Obviously, the arms, thighs and other stressed parts will reach their current limits.
It's just that Kumokawa never shouted to stop, and the other companions didn't stop either, so they gritted their teeth and persisted.
"..."
Looking at the weaker girls, Yoshitaka behind Kumokawa hesitated for a moment, but still stepped forward and lowered his voice: "Lord Kumokawa, would it be better to stop here and continue... "
If you continue to do it, it will be useless, and even the muscles and bones of your arms may be damaged.
Especially the weaker girls, and the chubby little guy in the front row.
"It's okay." Kumokawa shook his head and smiled, "I know what's going on."
After saying that, he looked at the people in the front row and walked over.
"Hoo! Hoo!"
As the heaviest person in the entire class, sweat had already soaked the clothes of the fat boy Asuto, and the thick indigo kendo clothes clung to his belly.
Seeing Kumokawa coming this way, the flesh on Asuto's face suddenly tensed up. He wanted to lift the bamboo sword tremblingly, but he only felt numbness and weakness in his arms.
The muscles seemed to be groaning, making his face pale slightly.
But just when the bamboo sword dropped weakly, Kumokawa reached out to hold his arm.
"Swinging the sword with all your strength is the wrong approach."
Kumokawa put his other hand on Asuto's stiff shoulder and said, "The power of the swing must be provided by the entire body. If the arm muscles are fully exerted, the power of the entire body will not be transmitted to the sword. "
"The result is that although you feel that you are exerting more force, the actual energy you exert is not full enough."
"Furthermore, simply using your arm to provide power for accelerated movements will cause you to lose control of the blade."
As he spoke, Kumokawa pinched his elbow gently and continued: "Do the muscles around your elbow joint hurt?"
Asuto's pale face returned to rosy, and he felt much better after being pinched. After hearing this, he only hesitated for a moment and nodded.
"Because when you raise the sword to a higher point, your right shoulder is one centimeter shorter, and the path of the sword naturally shifts."
Kumokawa lowered his eyes, looked at Asuto's body, and explained: "So in order to stop the sword at the correct position, you need to resist more acceleration when the arm falls."
"This kind of confrontation not only consumes more of yourself, but also stiffens your body and movements, thereby slowing down the transformation of your next movement."
As he said that, he let go of his hand and took a step back, smiling: "Just do as I said and try again."
Kendo is not essentially training to build physical strength. The key is to master the correct sword-swinging rhythm that suits your body, and use your entire body's strength to swing the sword in conjunction with the movement of your feet.
If you pursue speed and power too much, you will unknowingly exert too much force, resulting in movement deformation or muscle strain.
"Understood." Hearing Kumokawa's correction, Asuto responsed in a muffled voice. He didn't have the extra energy to respond. He took a breath and raised the sword again.
There seemed to be a warm current in the place where Kumokawa had pinched him. His slightly tilted body regained its balance, guiding him to adjust his movements according to Kumokawa's wishes.
whosh!
As the bamboo sword was swung down again, his body became extremely relaxed, making Asuto look surprised.
"Remember this feeling." A smile appeared on Kumokawa's face, "Go on and see if you can do a few more swings than before this time."
This little fat man was also the one who subconsciously took a step back just now.
It shows that his perception of danger is naturally very keen.
This kind of person is most suitable for learning swordsmanship, and learning breathing techniques can also get twice the result with half the effort.
"Okay! Thank you, Kumokawa-sensei!"
Not knowing Kumokawa's little plan, the little fat man nodded excitedly, then put on a serious expression, and started to do swings again.
This feeling of self-breakthrough made him feel both enjoyable and exhilarated.
"Aren't the muscles between the thumb and index finger of your left hand sore? You used too much force with your left hand, and you can't hold the sword anymore. Please stop it."
"And you, the range of movement is too small, draw your elbow inward a little, and stretch your right hand forward as much as possible."
Kumokawa walked through the crowd and corrected each one, helping them change their movements to suit them.
Those blue eyes glanced over their bodies, making them feel like their whole bodies were being seen through.
"Isn't your eyesight too strong?"
Seeing the rapid progress of everyone under Kumokawa's guidance, Yoshitaka, who was recruited as an assistant coach, was stunned.
Could it be that he is from the Hyuga clan and can he still use "Byakugan"?
Oh no, even the Byakugan of the Hyuga clan can only see through the meridians through which chakra flows in the human body and the chakra points that release chakra, and can see the target's meridians, acupuncture points, bones and the flow of chakra.
But without Kumokawa's perverted eyesight, he could see the mistake of making efforts at a glance.
In contrast, Yahiko, who had been treated privately by Kumokawa, had a look on his face that was not surprised.
He now only has one comment on his boss's eyesight.
Precise!
When he first begged his boss to help him, but was tortured by him in every possible way, Yahiko thought he was deliberately trying to mess with him.
It's the height of the shoulders, the angle of the wrists, and the distance of the steps.
Whenever Yahiko felt that he was up to standard, Kumokawa would repeatedly make things difficult for him on these details.
But later results proved that a small change in details and the huge change in the end were enough to make Yahiko suspicious.
Obviously, just a slight adjustment to the height of his shoulders allowed him to break through the upper limit of three hundred swings per day, which greatly reduced the wear and tear on the body's muscles and joints.
Obviously, just by slightly buckling his wrist and elbow, and moving the sword holding position downwards by a few centimeters, the power of his sword swing increased by one-third.
Yahiko, who had always used swords in a wild way, had his understanding of swords completely overturned by Kumokawa.
For Kumokawa, the sword is no longer a simple weapon, but can be as accurate as an arm or even a finger, and is a real extension of the body!
This terrifying observation and calculation ability made Yahiko amazed and convinced, and also allowed him to make rapid progress during this period.
But little did Yahiko know that in Kumokawa's vision, he was no longer a "person", but a human tissue model composed entirely of bones, blood vessels, muscles, fat, fascia, and skin.
Under the "Transparent World" vision, Kumokawa could clearly see even the direction of blood flow and every contraction and stretch of muscles. (Demon slayer)
Moreover, when the transparent world is turned on, all movements captured by the eyes will be slowed down by about half, which is enough for Kumokawa to accurately capture every movement in body.
The loss and repair of muscles, bones, lactic acid and even cells cannot be hidden from Kumokawa's eyes.
It can accurately calculate his physical limit, allowing him to train while stepping on this red line, without overtraining him and causing hidden injuries, thus maximizing the benefits of training.
Yahiko's thoughts were racing when he suddenly felt that the light was blocked.
When he came back to his senses, he saw Kumokawa standing in front of him at some point, looking at him quietly with those deep eyes, like a doctor looking at a patient who didn't respect the doctor's orders.
"Boss?"
Yahiko was startled and asked cautiously: "What happened to me?"
"It's nothing." Kumokawa shook his head, pointed at his lungs, and said, "Adjust your breathing and don't breathe randomly."
As he spoke, his fingers were placed on Yahiko's lungs, trachea and heart with great precision, and his eyes saw the flow of oxygen in them through the "Transparent World”.
Seeing this, Yahiko's heart tightened, he calmed down and his breathing became steady.
After observing for a moment, Kumokawa retracted his fingers, raised his eyes and looked at Yahiko: "Have you mastered the ‘total concentration breathing' yet?"
Breathing is a combat auxiliary method derived from the [Kokushibo] template. It is a technique created by "Tsugikuni Yoriichi" in order to fight "demons" as a human being. It is collectively called "Total Concentration Breathing".
The main function is to strengthen the heart and lung function, thereby allowing the blood to absorb a large amount of oxygen in a short period of time, which can greatly increase the body's ability in an instant, and give them a temporary physical fitness comparable to a demon.
After Yahiko showed interest in the sword, Kumokawa taught him the breathing technique.
"...Hmm." Yahiko hesitated for a moment, and finally scratched his head, "I think I have mastered it."
Kumokawa glanced at him, regardless of whether he really mastered it or not, and said with a smile: "Then let's demonstrate it to your classmates in practice."
"Actual combat?" Hearing this, Yahiko trembled and grinded his sore teeth, "Shall I fight you, boss?"
He floated once before and was beaten by the boss. His butt still hurts and he really didn't want to be beaten again.
Of course, Yahiko was not afraid of pain, but mainly because of embarrassment.
After all, it was a bit shameful to be spanked with a bamboo sword in front of so many people.
"It's not with me." Kumokawa shook his head, pointed to Yoshitaka in the distance, and smiled with interest, "It's with that guest who came all the way from Amegakure Village. He was the right hand man of Musashi before.”
Someone from Amegakure Village?
Amegakure Leader's right-hand man?
As soon as these words came out, Yahiko was startled and turned his head to look at the scar-faced man.
Very keenly aware of Yahiko's gaze, Yoshitaka, who was lost in thought, also looked over and happened to see those eager eyes.
