"You..."
"Shitai-sama."
Uchiha Shinji was about to say something, but he saw Yakushi looking behind him and called him with a gentle smile.
Shinji immediately closed his mouth, and the four tomoe in his eyes dissipated, turning into deep black pupils again.
"Doctor, thank you for taking care of this child."
Uchiha Shitai patted Shinji's shoulder, then showed a stiff smile and looked at the Yakushi Nonō and said, "Excuse me, how is the child injured?"
Yakushi Nonō looked at Shinji with a half-smile. She shook her head and said with a smile, "Fortunately, apart from some excessive blood loss, there is nothing serious."
"But I'm not sure if the blood type is compatible, so I don't dare to give him a blood transfusion."
"Oh, you are a civilian doctor, right?" Uchiha Shitai seemed to find Yakushi Nonō's fuss a little funny, and said calmly, "The Uchiha bloodline is stronger than you think, and there won't be any serious rejection phenomenon."
After that, he looked down at Uchiha Shinji who had remained silent from beginning to end, and said in a gentle tone: "How do you feel? Are you feeling unwell?"
"For example, the eyes..."
Looking at the expectant eyes of Uchiha Shitai, Shinji lowered his head and shook his head without saying a word.
"Don't worry." Yakushi Nonō beside him also squinted her eyes and assisted, "I checked very carefully, there is nothing wrong with his eyes."
“…Is that so?”
Hearing this, Uchiha Shitai's face suddenly showed a trace of disappointment. He sighed inwardly and raised his hand, and thought in his mind: "That's right, Shinji's personality is too indifferent, and his talent is not that good. Until he was eleven, there was no sign of his eyes opening. Even the poison gas failed to open his eyes. It seems that there will be little hope of opening his eyes in the future."
As the patriarch of the Uchiha clan, he knew something about this child named Uchiha Shinji.
His mother died of complications during childbirth, and his father died in the First Ninja World War before he could even remember.
In other words, Shinji has not seen his parents since he could remember. He is aloof and indifferent by nature, has few friends and he is usually alone.
Such a lonely and indifferent young child is an extremely rare case in the Uchiha clan, so he left a deep impression on the Uchiha clan.
After all, without bonds and emotions, it is difficult to have emotional fluctuations, and it is also difficult to awaken sharingan successfully.
"That's good. Take good care of your injuries."
Some thoughts flashed through his mind, and he looked down at Shinji who remained silent. Uchiha Shitai comforted him kindly, "Don't worry about the money. The clan will give some money and food to the injured clan members."
"..." Shinji nodded slightly and said in a calm tone, "Thank you, clan leader."
After Uchiha Shitai walked away, Shinji raised his head slightly, and a hint of indifference flashed in his black pupils.
It seemed that the other party's means of winning people's hearts were of no use to him.
"You owe me another favor." Yakushi Nonō reminded him with a smile.
Shinji frowned and asked noncommittally:"When can I go home?"
"Go home?" Yakushi Nonō narrowed her eyes and smiled, "Sure, we can do it now, but I suddenly realized that there seems to be something wrong with your eyes. How about I go find a doctor now..."
As soon as these words came out, Uchiha Shinji's expressionless face twitched and he looked up at the woman in front of him. The smile on the other's face seemed to turn into malice in his eyes.
After a long silence, he said expressionlessly, "What do you want?"
——
"Oh?"
Looking at the house with peeling walls, Yakushi Nonō looked at Shinji who was opening the door with a key and asked in surprise, "You are a member of the Uchiha clan, and you live in a place like this?"
"The pension given by the village and the Uchiha is quite a lot, right? Why don't you rent a better place to live?"
Snap!
"It's enough." Shinji pushed open the door and said calmly without looking back, "If you dislike it, even if you take the initiative to cancel the deal, I won't agree to anything else from you."
After saying that, he clicked the switch, and the lights in the room were instantly turned on.
"I'm a homeless person, I'm lucky to have a place to live, what right do I have to look down on you..."
Yakushi Nonō was talking with a smile on her face, but when she stepped into the room, the smile froze on her face.
All she heard was a crackling sound under her feet, and the bottles and jars piled on the ground were kicked away by her.
The house in front of her did not look like a sanitary one. The door was littered with cans of empty food, and the simple furniture inside the house was filled with sundries and clothes.
"...Ha, haha." Yakushi Nonō laughed dryly and said tactfully, "The place where you live is full of a strong atmosphere of life."
"The second bedroom over there will be yours from now on."
Shinji pointed to the room next to him and said calmly, "I only promise you accommodation, but I won't be responsible for your food and clothing."
After saying that, he walked towards the sofa in the living room where clothes were piled, and sat on the few remaining spaces on the sofa.
"...Then I also want to thank you."
Looking down at the fast food boxes scattered all over the floor, Yakushi Nonō felt that the number of times she had been speechless today was already as many as she had been in a year.
The way you eat, I wouldn't dare to eat it even if you dare to take responsibility.
"Very nice!" Yakushi Nonō suddenly clapped her hands and said to herself with a smile on her face, "Then let's clean up the room first. After all, this is where we'll live in the future!"
Hearing this, Shinji, who was sitting on the sofa, was stunned for a moment, then turned to look at the woman with an expressionless face.
Yakushi Nonō did what she said, and her movements were very efficient.
"Lift your feet."
She picked up a mop and came in front of Shinji, speaking in a matter-of-fact tone, as if she was the owner.
Shinji also subconsciously raised his foot and watched Yakushi Nonō sweeping around the room.
Less than two hours later, the clean floor was already reflecting the sunlight coming in from the window, and the pinkish glow also reflected a much tidier room.
Yakushi Nonō reached out and opened the window, then turned to look at Shinji in the living room, raised an eyebrow and asked, "How do you feel?"
Fresher air rushed into the room and a little dust rose from the ground.
"...What?" Shinji was stunned for a moment, "How do I feel?"
Yakushi Nonō narrowed her eyes and said in a gentle tone: "Do you have the feeling of 'Ah, the room can be so tidy, and it turns out that having one more person is also good!'"
Shinji stared at the woman blankly, a faint red light shining on her face.
For a moment, Shinji felt like she was glowing.
It is a very wonderful feeling, an inexplicable sense of satisfaction and security, like a beam of light shining in the heart, and the darkness in the heart inexplicably dissipates.
But he quickly came to his senses, avoided the other person's teasing gaze, and turned to look out the other window.
But he was surprised to see a snow-white pigeon landing on the window sill at some point.
"Goo-goo?"
As if seeing that Shinji had noticed it, the pigeon tilted its head and looked at him, then spread its wings and flew into the room, fluttering over Shinji's head.
Shinji subconsciously followed the white shadow and saw the white pigeon landing on Yakushi Nonō's shoulder. He asked, "Is this the pigeon you raised?"
Yakushi Nonō was not surprised by the arrival of the white pigeon. She reached out her hand and gently stroked the white pigeon's head with ease.
“Cuckoo~”
The white pigeon also rubbed her palm, with a hint of human enjoyment on its face.
"Yes." Yakushi Nonō took out some feed from her pocket and smiled with narrowed eyes, "This is the pigeon I raised."
As she spoke, she glanced out the window and saw a white head flash by and disappear into the tree in an instant.
