The Kingdom of Water.
Everything as far as the eye could see was vast and dense white fog, and the meager skylight was completely blocked by the fog.
Kirigakure Village is always so hazy in the fog, and the tall water towers are hidden in the fog.
It looked like they were covered by a white curtain. The villagers put up their collars and covered their mouths and noses while walking in the fog.
Perhaps they have always believed that when the wind comes and the fog dissipates, there will be sunshine.
But the wind never came. If the wind did come, these fogs would have dispersed long ago.
It seems as if the noisy wind from the outside world has traveled a long way here, leaving behind the noise and turmoil along the way, leaving only silence and solitude.
Therefore, no matter what happens in this village, it is difficult for the big country ninja village living on the mainland to hear the wind blowing from Kirigakure, and can only hear "the same as usual".
However, this time, they encountered an exception.
The noisy wind outside blew into Kirigakure, and the wind from Kirigakure also blew elsewhere, as if the entire shinobi world was filled with the sound of wind.
"Third Mizukage-sama, the actions of Suikazan Fuguki and Yuki Tsuki have failed."
The Third Mizukage just stood in front of the only window of the Mizukage Building, looking down at the slightly gloomy Kirigakure in the heavy fog, looking down on people crawling on the ground like ants.
In the village filled with white mist, a bloody color lingered for a long time, gradually invading Mizukage's office and gradually filling the entire space.
"Failed?"
After a long period of dead silence, the Third Mizukage, who had his eyes closed, seemed to retract his gaze and looked behind Yagura, who had a thin layer of cold sweat on his forehead.
"Yes, Third Mizukage-sama."
It was obvious that the other party still had his eyes closed, but when the other party looked over, Yagura felt a coldness, subconsciously lowered his head lower, and whispered: "I received the news that the invasion failed."
"..."
The third Mizukage's face seemed to flash with a trace of pain at this moment, but soon fell into silence again.
It was a very brief and subtle change, but Yagura, who raised his eyes slightly at this moment to look, and his brows frowned subconsciously.
"What amazing news."
The Third Mizukage slowly turned around, looked out the window with his back to Yagura and said, "So, where are Suikazan Fuguki and Yuki Tsuki now? Do they no longer have the courage to face me?"
Hearing this, Yagura put away the messy thoughts in his mind and replaced them with a more profound and complicated sigh.
"I'm sorry, Third Mizukage-sama."
Even though he had been frightened by it once before coming, Yagura's expression was still unavoidable when he talked about it again, and he said solemnly: "They may not be able to come to you in person to report their duties and admit their guilt.”
"Because, the beheading team led by Suikazan Fuguki, including Miyagi, Kurihara Kushimaru, Kurosuki Raiga, and Murashi Jinpachi, as well as the main force led by Yuki Tsuki... have all died in the Kingdom of Whirlpool."
"At the same time, according to the information we know, no survivors have been found!"
After saying that, he slightly raised his eyes again, but this time, he only saw the back of the Third Mizukage-sama Mizukage.
However, Yagura felt that the sense of dissonance was getting stronger and stronger.
"...What's going on?"
The Third Mizukage paused for a moment before continuing to ask in a calm tone: "Even if Konoha intervenes in time and causes the mission to fail, it is impossible for all of them to die in the Country of Whirlpool."
Yagura naturally understood the meaning of his words. With the shrewd character of Suikazan Fuguki, he would immediately run away once he discovered anything unusual.
Even if everyone else was treated as a victim by him, he would not die inexplicably in the Kingdom of Whirlpool. He would not care at all about the success or failure of the mission, let alone the life or death of his so-called companions.
Because he is the right-hand man of the Third Mizukage, he will only be held accountable by the top management after he comes back. The Third Mizukage will only give him a symbolic punishment, and no one dares to oppose the Third Mizukage's current decision.
"Perhaps in the eyes of the teacher, the importance of Suikazan Fuguki has long surpassed mine." Yagura thought to himself.
But now, Suikazan Fuguki is dead...
"According to the traces and intelligence we collected, someone knew our actions in advance and carried out targeted ambushes and attacks."
At this point, Yagura suddenly paused. After a moment, he said in a low voice: "I received news from the underground money exchange. A lot of bounties were collected against our Kirigakure, including Suikazan Fuguki men."
"And, looking at the scene, based on trace speculation, we finally concluded that maybe, it was not Konoha, but an unknown force."
As soon as these words came out, the surrounding air seemed to become quiet.
"..."
The Third Mizukage repeated, "It was not done by Konoha? An unknown force?"
Not to mention the old man hiding in the dark at the moment, Yagura himself had some doubts about his speculation.
As for the details of the old, weak, sick and disabled people in the Kingdom of Whirlpool, with the secret guidance and help of White Zetsu, the intelligence department had already investigated them thoroughly.
Unless Konoha is truly sincere and will assist the Country of Whirlpool even at the risk of receiving information about Kirigakure's changes as soon as possible, then it is possible to block their Kirigakure attack.
Otherwise, the people of the Whirlpool Kingdom, who have long been addicted to false peace, would not be able to deal with Kirigakure's premeditated actions.
However, the reality is so absurd...
"Although we did not find the body of Suikazan Fuguki, the bodies of other people with their heads cut off have been recovered."
Yagura lowered his head, puzzled, but still truthfully said: "Based on our calculation of the traces of the on-site battle in the Kingdom of Whirlpool, no matter how unbelievable it is, it is still the same in the end."
Those traces really do not seem to be the work of Konoha.
Because Konoha can no longer find a second "White Fang".
After telling the story of his and others' speculations, Yagura raised his head slightly as if he felt something.
Seeing the Third Mizukage with a cold breath, Yagura started sweating.
The atmosphere of the entire space gradually became extremely heavy, making Yagura find it difficult to move and breathe.
"I don't want to hear about anyone's death now. Those who didn't complete their mission should die."
The Third Mizukage turned his head slightly and seemed to look at Yagura. There was a bit of coldness in his originally calm tone and said: "I just want to know how many surviving Uzumaki clan members there are, and where have those surviving Uzumaki clan members gone? "
Since Suikazan Fuguki and the others are dead, it doesn't matter that things are irreversible.
What's more, the "Third Mizukage -sama" doesn't care about the "tool"'s life or death.
If a useful "tool" is broken, just replace it with a batch of inferior ones.
Now the most important thing is.
The chess piece that suddenly jumped out of nowhere was playing tricks behind his back, and it actually avoided the eyes of Uchiha Madara, the chess player.
Not only did it completely disrupt his plan to wipe out the Uzumaki clan, it even put the "Third Mizukage" chess piece in his hand into an embarrassing situation where no one could use it for a short time!
