"What exactly is the Will of Fire, and why do you want to be Hokage?"
Sarutobi Hiruzen smiled like a kind old man, and asked, "If one of you can answer correctly, I will let you sit back in your seats and listen to the class."
Wait, aren't these two questions?
Hearing the inexplicable additional questions at the end, Kushina couldn't help but complain in her heart.
Such a theoretical question must be answered with a standard answer. As an outside transfer student, it is really a bit difficult for her.
Kushina, who has now earned the nickname of "The Red-Hot Habanero" with her fists, is a little embarrassed under the kind and gentle gaze of the Third Hokage.
She had to cast a little look for help to Minato beside her, and didn't care about the unpleasantness that happened between the two before.
"Ahem!"
Minato's face inexplicably blushed when he noticed Kushina's eyes, and he subconsciously straightened his back.
He cleared his throat and pondered for a moment, then organized his words before answering, "The will of fire, just as you and Teacher Fujiki said, is actually a selfless spirit."
"The will of fire, where the leaves dance, the fire will also continue to illuminate the village and allow new leaves to sprout."
"And what this sentence wants to express is that the fallen leaves are praised as the older generation, the burning fallen leaves are a metaphor for the heroic sacrifice of the older generation, and the new leaves are a metaphor for the younger generation."
"The younger generation is the hope of the future, and the older generation must trust and protect them. The sacrifice of the older generation is not meaningless, but will inspire young people to become the pillars of Konoha's future and hope..."
Having said this, Minato suddenly paused, hesitated, and looked up at the podium.
"Hmm, why don't you say anything?" Sarutobi Hiruzen smiled even more warmly, encouraging, "Well said, it seems that Minato has been preparing for his lessons after school, but it seems that there are only contents in the books."
"You are a very smart child, I guess you should have your own ideas, right?"
After he finished speaking, the whole classroom fell into silence, countless eyes looking at Minato, as if they wanted to see what insights he could say, and as if they wanted to see the jokes he made.
Of course, more people still want to see Kushina's jokes, especially those little kids who were beaten by her.
Seeing the scene where the Third Hokage seemed to be deliberately making things difficult, they all felt like someone was backing them up and couldn't help laughing. They had long forgotten that they were the ones who bullied Kushina first, but they were beaten by her in return because they were not strong enough.
In fact, the evil of children is the purest evil, without any interests mixed in.
"Yes, I read this book "History of Konoha and the Will of Fire" after I got home from school yesterday."
Minato took a deep breath, looked at everyone with a sharp gaze, and said in a tone full of admiration: "I originally just regarded it as a collection of stories, but I was touched after reading it."
"The first Hokage was an important promoter of the formation of the Will of Fire. His two younger brothers died in the cruel war, and his purpose in establishing Konoha was also to prevent the tragedy from happening again."
"The older generation must protect children and let them grow up in peace. They will no longer be involved in cruel wars, and will not die because of war. This is the original will of fire."
As he spoke, Minato suddenly paused, glanced at the classmates who were looking in front of him, and changed the subject: "I do have great admiration for the first Hokage, but what I want to talk about is actually the second Hokage."
"The second Hokage disbanded the Senju clan, and the Senju people voluntarily gave up their surnames and integrated into Konoha to become the nourishment of this big tree."
"Perhaps you don't know that although the surname of Senju has disappeared, there are actually many former Senju people around us. I even guess that some of the students here may have parents who are from the Senju clan."
After saying that, looking at the students who were surprised and whispering, Minato smiled brightly and said in a gentle tone: "Why did the Second Hokage do this?"
"Why?" Someone asked.
The students in the classroom subconsciously looked in the direction of the voice, wanting to see who had spoken their thoughts.
But they were surprised to find that it was Teacher Fujiki who was sitting in the corner of the last row against the wall. After reacting at this moment, he looked embarrassed.
"Puff!" Kushina, who had been pretending to be dead, couldn't help laughing, but shrank her head when everyone looked over.
There was really nothing she could do, it was really too funny.
Teacher Fujiki, who had always been strict, suddenly became a good student and actually had questions that he didn't understand.
"Ahem."
Sarutobi Hiruzen on the podium coughed a few times, and seeing that everyone's attention was attracted to him, he looked at the interrupted Minato again and asked with a smile: "So, why is it? I'm also curious."
He silently resolved the embarrassment of Mr. Fujiki at the moment and interrupted the laughter that the children were about to burst into.
"I think the Second Hokage's goal is to innovate on the basis of inheriting the will of fire."
Minato also secretly breathed a sigh of relief in his heart, met those eyes that had become curious again, and continued: "He hopes that there will be no barriers between the clans in Konoha, and work together for the future and hope of the village."
"Everyone in every clan should not only sacrifice for the interests of the clan members, but also put the overall interests of the village first. Everyone in the village is a family and protect all compatriots in the village."
Having said this, he looked at the children with bruises on their faces and evasive eyes, and said in a gentle and sincere tone: "There should be no discrimination and oppression between people because of the difference between powerful clans and ordinary civilians."
"Sincerely accept every companion living together, instead of bullying companions with prejudiced eyes, no matter the surname, identity, gender, background, or..."
"A person's unique hair color and the dream that person is willing to work hard for."
Hearing this, Kushina raised her head suddenly, stared at the figure in front of her blankly, and felt her heart was suddenly touched.
Sarutobi Hiruzen narrowed his eyes, looking at the glowing child, with a hint of appreciation and deep meaning in his eyes.
What an excellent successor to the Will of Fire!
Originally, he just wanted to find a random child who could form a bond with Kushina, but he didn't expect Minato to perform so well.
Born a commoner, stable and mature, with a sunny and infectious personality...
Although a little naive and immature, isn't this an advantage?
As for talent...
Sorry, Konoha is not short of secret techniques and forbidden techniques. As long as you are not a pure waste, you will definitely find a path that suits you.
"Minato said it very well!"
Sarutobi Hiruzen thought in his heart, and first praised Minato: "The First and Second Hokage-sama are important promoters of the formation of the Will of Fire."
"But the Will of Fire has been watered and cultivated for decades. It is created by each of us in a long struggle. Each of us should become the successor of the Will of Fire."
After that, he looked at the almost dejected child, smiled in a very gentle and kind tone: "Only those who know their mistakes and can correct them are good children with the Will of Fire. It's not too late now. Does any classmate want to say anything?"
As soon as these words came out, the children with bruises on their faces raised their heads, looked at each other, and finally stood up one after another, looking at Kushina behind Minato with shame on their faces.
"Kushina-san, I'm sorry!" They all bowed and cried with tears in their eyes, "I shouldn't have bullied you before, please forgive our mistakes!"
Looking at those people bowing to apologize to her, Kushina's body shrank subconsciously, quietly moved her feet and hid behind Minato, whispering, "I, I also hit you, I also want to apologize to you."
"Hahaha."
The children stood up straight and scratched their heads embarrassedly. Seeing this, the others couldn't help but smile, and a good-natured laugh rang out.
At this moment, everyone in the classroom, including Sarutobi Hiruzen, thought that Minato's explanation of the will of fire was correct.
The older generation should protect children, let them grow up in peace, no longer be involved in cruel wars, and not die because of war.
However, no one would have thought that it would not be long before the Third Hokage-sama they admired would personally send a child under the age of ten to the battlefield. Even Sarutobi Hiruzen himself would not have thought that there would be such a day.
If Kumokawa was here, he would definitely laugh out loud.
No, maybe someone really laughed.
"Kushina, you..." Minato turned his head to look at Kushina behind him, his eyes full of tenderness and warmth.
The bright sunshine outside the window shone in, and the atmosphere in the classroom was peaceful and tranquil.
But at this moment, a bird seemed to fly outside the window, casting a shadow on everyone's face.
Standing on the podium, with a kind smile, Sarutobi Hiruzen suddenly had a jump in his heart, and the hairs all over his body stood up at this moment, and he turned his head abruptly.
His pupils gradually shrank as he looked out the window, reflecting the glass-like light and flame.
Boom!!!
