Bang! Bang! Bang!
Sarutobi Hiruzen tightly grasped the Adamantine Staff, staring at the rain of fire falling from the sky at high speed.
"Monkey, it's very lively here."
"How about an old woman like me join in the fun?"
When a woman's gentle voice with a hint of coldness came into his ears, Sarutobi Hiruzen's expression suddenly froze.
The next moment, under the gaze of him and the people of Konoha.
A lone, slender figure appeared in front of them with slow steps, illuminated by the fire.
Her neat and gorgeous red hair fluttered, and the talismans on both sides of her bun swayed gently.
Looking at the kunai and explosive bombs above her head and in front of her, she raised a palm that was naturally placed in front of her abdomen, as if she was gently wiping a meteor in the sky with her hand.
Snap! Snap!!
Six golden chains extended from behind her, blocking her head and weaving around and making a sharp sound.
When the last trace of noise disappeared, a golden shield was formed above her head, facing the overwhelming attack.
Boom!!
The dazzling explosion and light erupted again, dyeing the golden chain with a bright red.
Just like a surging sea wave or flood hitting a reef or dam, the surging fire wave was diverted from the top, bottom, left and right of the golden shield wall.
The scene of the fire wave tsunami hitting the golden barrier shocked the people of Konoha who were protected below.
When the surging fire wave and the impact of the explosion dissipated, the figure just stood there very calmly, and the attack of the sky ninja had no effect on her.
The retracted golden chain surrounded her and behind her, and her gestures were quiet and reserved like the moon surrounded by stars.
"Adamantine Sealing Chains!"
When the golden chain reflecting the fire appeared in front of everyone, everyone present was not unfamiliar with it, and they all realized the identity of the woman who suddenly appeared in an instant.
The wife of the first Hokage, Senju Hashirama, and the first Nine-Tails Jinchuriki of Konoha.
—Uzumaki Mito.
What really surprised everyone was her young face.
This Lady Mito has always been low-key and seldom seen. It is hard to find someone older than her in Konoha. Now she is standing in front of them with an extremely young appearance.
If you don't look at her calm deep green eyes, you can't tell that she is an old woman in her sixties or seventies. Instead, she looks like a reserved and gentle Yamato Nadeshiko. (Yamato Nadeshiko = Ideal Japanese Woman)
"Mito-sama!"
Sarutobi Hiruzen, who was originally full of style, suddenly became evasive the moment he saw Uzumaki Mito, and said hesitantly: "You, why are you here?"
Although he didn't think Uzumaki Mito would listen to the enemy's one-sided words, he still had an inexplicable sense of foreboding in his heart.
"I was originally here to pick up the children from school."
Uzumaki Mito turned around and looked at Sarutobi Hiruzen, who was stiff in place. A hint of deepness flashed in her narrowed eyes, and a gentle smile on her face: "But it seems that I heard some bad news."
At this point, she suddenly paused and asked: "How are the civilians and children?"
The death of ninjas in battle is inevitable, and they should have this awareness from the day they become ninjas.
Therefore, she only asked the civilians and children, not wanting to involve the innocent and weak ones.
They were involved.
"...Huh!"
Sarutobi Hiruzen, whose heart was in his throat, relaxed his tense body after hearing this.
No question.
At least not now.
Not to mention questioning in front of everyone in Konoha.
But the other party not asking does not mean that he can ignore it.
"Civilians and children have been evacuated to the shelter as soon as possible."
Sarutobi Hiruzen answered honestly, lowering his voice and trying to keep his tone steady: "Please rest assured, we will give you an explanation after this matter is resolved."
Yes, that's right, don't be afraid.
When hearing that her hometown might encounter an accident, the first reaction is still to consider his reputation as a Hokage, instead of tying him up in the sky and questioning him in front of everyone.
Obviously, the person in front of him is no longer the Uzumaki Mito of the Uzumaki clan, but the "Mito-sama" who insists on loving Konoha and supporting the one he loves.
Thinking of this, Sarutobi Hiruzen exhaled a breath of depression, and his turbulent mood became calm.
Yes, as long as it is like before, it will be fine.
"…Third Hokage-sama, you'd better really do what you say."
Uzumaki Mito looked deeply at Sarutobi Hiruzen, but the malicious perception ability from the Nine-Tails was not triggered.
She could only suppress the anxiety and uneasiness in her heart and said calmly: "Now, let's concentrate on fighting the enemy."
After the voice fell, without turning her head, without any sign, the golden chain behind her suddenly stabbed out.
The chain with a glow of fire protruded from the smoke and flames, and the wind it raised made the flames in the air dim a little.
Bang! !
The slender and powerful golden chain slammed towards the sky ninja who shouted, but in an instant, there was a deafening crash that swept across the whole place.
"Huh?"
Uzumaki Mito was stunned for a moment, frowned and turned to look at the sky.
Snap! Snap!
But before the golden chain could hit the body of the sky ninja, it was blocked by an invisible barrier covering the outside, and only the teeth-grinding sound of the chain hitting it could be heard.
That is...
"Protective barrier?" Uzumaki Mito's expression became a little ugly. "This level of barrier technique..."
She could actually see some shadows of the Uzumaki clan's barrier technique from it.
In other words, the so-called "ally of the Uzumaki clan" might be true.
Thinking of this, she couldn't help but glance at Sarutobi Hiruzen behind her, and the guess that had been forcibly suppressed in her heart emerged again.
When she thought about the possibility that the Land of Whirlpools might really be destroyed by the Hidden Mist, and that someone from the top of Konoha was involved...
Her body couldn't help but tremble slightly, breaking the calm posture that had been maintained since she appeared.
If possible, she really didn't want to doubt that the Konoha she had been protecting could do such a thing.
But now all the signs are urging her to believe what the other party said.
Even if Sarutobi Hiruzen's performance was flawless and his words seemed to have no loopholes, her sixth sense still told Uzumaki Mito that maybe what the guy in the sky said was the truth.
—The Land of Whirlpools was not only destroyed, but also betrayed by Konoha.
"Mito-sama, you..."
Seeing that she was not in a normal state, Sarutobi Hiruzen hurriedly stepped forward.
But just when he was about to say something, something suddenly interrupted him.
A faint golden halo appeared in everyone's eyes, but it was too fast to see clearly.
But Sarutobi Hiruzen heard the terrifying sharp whistle of the wind, and vaguely saw the true face of the golden halo.
—It was a golden chain, which also meant that Uzumaki Mito had attacked him.
