The air has always been a field that ninjas rarely touch.
It's not that Konoha doesn't have air defense ninjas, but the other side didn't give them any chances.
They have always been very cautious in fighting and retreating, and they directly rise out of the attack range after the fight, which is disgusting to the point of being outrageous.
However, these guys' flying ninja tools need to continuously consume chakra for energy. The energy bombing just now is probably their last resort.
However, Sarutobi Hiruzen still doesn't understand the other party's purpose. Does the other party want to defeat Konoha with those things?
But the other party's actions have a clear plan, and it seems that they are not the kind of fools who overestimate their own abilities.
Or, the person behind them is not a fool.
And why, there was no warning from the perception barrier?
Buzz! !
Just as Sarutobi Hiruzen's eyes gradually deepened, a buzzing sound suddenly came from a high place from far to near.
Hearing the sound, some Konoha ninjas subconsciously took a step back and looked up at the sky with a look of doubt.
The dazzling light that suddenly burst out in the air just now still remained in their retinas and had not completely dissipated, leaving them with a very deep impression.
But when they looked up, they saw only a sky ninja slowly falling from the sky, and the tail of the aircraft behind him rolled up the dust on the ground.
"Everything that happened just now was just a warning."
He looked directly at the Konoha ninjas who were facing a great enemy, and shouted in a cold tone: "Our Sky Fortress is above Konoha, and the muzzle of the energy heavy artillery has been locked on you."
"Now, we, the Sky Legion, as allies of the Uzumaki clan, issue a solemn statement to you to immediately hand over the murderer who betrayed the friendly alliance between the two sides and colluded with the Mist Village to destroy the Whirlpool Country."
"Otherwise, we will next launch a devastating attack on Konoha for harboring the murderer!"
After that, the fully armed sky ninjas who were occupying the sky were in unison, and once again raised their kunai guns and pointed the muzzles at them.
But at this time, the people of Konoha didn't care at all.
Because what the sky ninja said had already made their heads confused.
What does it mean?
The Whirlpool Country was destroyed?
And it has something to do with their Konoha?
Everyone looked ahead in astonishment, looking at the back of the Third Hokage.
"How is it possible?" A commoner-born Chunin blurted out, "The Whirlpool Country is right under our noses. If it was really invaded, how could we not receive any news?"
Only some of the jonin who knew the inside story had their eyes flickering after hearing these words.
The Whirlpool Country was actually destroyed?
The guys from Kirigakure were actually playing for real?
If this was true, then wouldn't they be the murderers who betrayed the covenant, colluded with Kirigakure, and destroyed the Whirlpool Country...
Thinking of this, some people's hearts tightened, and some people's eyes flashed with regret.
They never thought that Kirigakure would do such a ruthless thing and destroy the Whirlpool Country.
Because doing so would simply be more harm than good!
As a buffer zone between the Land of Fire and the Land of Water, the Land of Whirlpools and the Land of Rain are essentially the same, in order to leave a way out for both sides.
Now that Kirigakure Village has inexplicably destroyed the Country of Whirlpool, the two countries will really be separated by the sea from each other in the future. If they really fight, it will be within the borders of each country. Therefore, it is impossible to understand the behavior of Kirigakure.
However, when have they ever done such a thing as colluding with Kirigakure?
At most, when the Kingdom of Whirlpool was suspected of being attacked, they rationally chose to sit back and do nothing and protect themselves.
"You..."
When Sarutobi Hiruzen heard the Sky Ninja say such words in public, his face turned pale with fright.
He didn't expect that these guys could be related to the Kingdom of Whirlpool, and the reason for invading Konoha was to avenge their allies.
Even he only received the news last night, and Jiraiya and Tsunade didn't come back. How could these guys know all this?
And when did the "Uzumaki Clan" have this so-called "Sky Legion" ally?
Before this, he had never even heard of it. It was as if it suddenly appeared!
"Ahem!"
Hearing the uneasy discussions of the people behind him, Sarutobi Hiruzen quickly gathered his chaotic thoughts, coughed lightly, frowned and looked at the sky ninja, and said in a deep voice: "I don't understand what you are talking about at all, and what is the intention of saying these words."
"We did receive intelligence that there was an unusual movement in Kirigakure, and it was suspected that troops were being gathered to prepare for an attack, but we are not sure whether the information is true or not, and we are not sure whether the target is Konoha or the Land of Whirlpools."
As he spoke, Sarutobi Hiruzen's chaotic thoughts became clearer, and his eyes and tone when he looked at the sky ninja gradually became firm: "So as soon as we received the information, we sent a team to explore the border."
That's right, except for him, Danzo, Utatane Koharu, and Mitokado Homura, no one would know that the Root had secretly withheld the information for a day.
As long as this was not exposed, there would be no problem.
"In order to avoid any unexpected situations, the team is led by Jiraiya, Tsunade, the newly promoted elite jonin Kato Dan, and a dozen young Konoha jonin."
While thinking, Sarutobi Hiruzen continued: "As soon as they confirm the authenticity of the information, we will immediately send troops to assist them."
"So, your so-called betrayal of the alliance is completely false, and the accusation of colluding with Kirigakure is a complete frame-up!"
Having said that, Sarutobi Hiruzen paused, looked at the sky ninja and said sternly: "We Konoha and the Country of Whirlpools have been friends for generations, and it is impossible for us to do something treacherous!"
"On the contrary, you people are of unknown origin. You clearly call yourselves allies of the Uzumaki clan, but you come to invade and attack my Konoha's territory."
"What exactly are your intentions?!"
Sarutobi Hiruzen's righteous words can be said to have completely shirked all responsibility.
"It's fake!"
"Don't believe his lies!"
"That guy is trying to sow discord!"
The originally uneasy people reacted, feeling guilty for their lack of firmness, and looked at the sky ninja with angry eyes.
Even the jonin who participated in the meeting felt that the Third Hokage's words were correct.
They didn't know that Danzo had received the information as early as the day before the meeting.
Therefore, without being sure whether the information was true or not, it was a cautious decision to send a team to investigate. It was an impeccable decision.
Rational and correct.
Yes, very rational and correct.
But this decision was not emotional, and did not consider what would happen to the Whirlpool Country if the information was true.
Thinking of this, some people looked at Sarutobi Hiruzen, and their eyes were a little complicated for a while.
They were all members of the Senju clan who had hidden their identities, and they were also the ones who had the best relationship with the Uzumaki clan.
"What a bunch of hopeless idiots."
The sky ninja swept across everyone's faces, and after a cold sneer, the smile gradually faded and said in a cold tone: "It seems that you are going to refuse to admit it and cover it up to the end."
"In this case, you can't blame us..."
The moment the voice fell, the sky ninjas pulled the trigger at the same time without any warning, breaking the calm of both sides and firing a round of volleys.
Bang! Bang bang! !
Kunai and explosive bombs fell from the sky like meteors, like a rain of fire from the sky covering everyone in Konoha.
Sarutobi Hiruzen clenched the Adamantine Staff in his hand and looked directly at the dazzling meteor group that was dragging its tail at high speed.
But just when he was about to make a move.
"Monkey, it's very lively here."
A gentle woman's voice suddenly came, but there seemed to be a hint of coldness in her tone: "How about letting an old woman like me join in the fun?”
