Snap! Snap!
The corridor was silent, only breathing could be heard.
Jiraiya and Tsunade were in a stairwell surrounded by walls.
The sound of the wind and the sound of burning were left far behind, and the silence separated them from the hustle and bustle outside into two worlds.
Along the way, they could only see the corpses of many Kirigakure ninjas. In addition, they could also vaguely see traces of movement.
"Sure enough, someone really took away the bodies of the Uzumaki clan members."
This discovery made both Tsunade and Jiraiya's expressions become heavy. The higher they went, the more their hearts palpitated, as if something unknown and terrifying was waiting for them above.
"I can hear your heartbeat." Tsunade glanced at Jiraiya behind her.
"Ahem!" Jiraiya suddenly choked, scratched his head and laughed, "The atmosphere here is really gloomy, I always feel like some monster will pop out, why don't we retreat for the time being?”
Tsunade didn't pay attention to his sincere words and took it as a joke.
Because they have arrived at the place where the smell of blood is the strongest.
When Tsunade stepped onto the third floor and looked up, her whole body froze.
On the wall in front of her, there was a dark humanoid creature.
As for why it was said to be a humanoid "creature", it was because Tsunade couldn't recognize whether it was a human or a "plant" for a moment.
“What is that?”
Jiraiya, who followed, also looked at that scene in astonishment, falling into a strange dead silence.
He saw that the three walls were covered with dry thorns that had lost their color, and only a withered face was hidden among the gray thorns.
"This guy is…”
Jiraiya's eyes were full of shock, and he whispered in disbelief: "Suikazan Fuguki? He, he actually died here?!”
No, that's not the point.
What kind of technique are these thorn vines?!
Tsunade's chest began to rise and fall violently, and she walked heavily towards the corpses and the wall covered with thorns and vines.
The corpse was nailed to a high place in the air, its entire body was pulled straight by thorns, and its arms were stretched out to both sides of the body, looking like a "cross".
But those lifeless eyes were filled with despair, and the pale face was as numb as a mummy, without even half of its vitality and brilliance.
"I know him.”
Jiraiya's solemn voice came into Tsunade's ears from behind: "Suikazan Fuguki, Kirigakure's Jonin who hunts down the ninjas, a high-ranking member of the Intelligence Department, and one of the capable men of the Third Mizukage. He is a very cautious character.”
But now he is dead, so strangely.
In terms of the level of brutality, the scene is actually average.
But what made Jiraiya feel chilled in his heart was the strange religious feeling of his death.
The red thorn vines almost filled the tall body, entangled between the hundreds of fine bones, snaking through the flesh and taking root in the internal organs to grow symbiotically.
There are countless traces of thorns rolling around on the body, just like the monster has torn it with its claws countless times, trying to dig out the bones and internal organs in the flesh.
That body has become a breeding ground for parasites, and those thorns and vines are inseparable from it.
Simply taking one look at it will make you think of a purgatory that is bitten by thousands of insects, and you may have nightmares about it.
"This guy Suikazan Fuguki..."
Jiraiya took a few steps forward, looked at the thorn with a gloomy face, and whispered: "He died because after being sucked dry by this damn thing."
"...What ninjutsu can do this kind of thing?" Tsunade's face suddenly turned pale.
"That means it's not an ordinary ninjutsu." Jiraiya stared at the corpse with a twinkling eye and said, "It can only be done with a special secret method or a bloodline limit, right?"
In the entire ninja world, there was only one person who could do this thing.
"Wood Release?"
Tsunade murmured at first, but then she couldn't help but shake her head and said, "No! Impossible, it can't be Wood Release, how could it be Wood Release?!"
"Impossible, this weird thing must be some kind of secret technique!"
She shook her head frantically, her voice getting louder and louder, until it almost became a roar.
That is because only her deceased Grandfather, the First Hokage, Senju Hashirama, possessed the Bloodline Limit, Wood Release!
It was with the help of his extremely powerful Wood Release Ninjutsu that he became the God of the Ninja World, pacified the troubled times, established Konoha and defeated Uchiha Madara.
According to the records left by my grandfather, Wood Release is a bloodline limit created by changing and fusing the properties of earth and water attribute chakras.
But since the death of my grandfather, no one has been able to master Wood Release anymore.
This is the regret of all the Senju members, even Tsunade herself.
But now...
"Could it be that a descendant of the Senju clan who is stranded outside has awakened Wood Release?" Jiraiya asked in a low voice, but received no response. Looking at the thorny vines covering the wall, Tsunade's face was already covered with sweat, and panic and anxiety enveloped her heart.
How could Wood Release appear in a place like this, and in such a strange and sinister form?!
Judging from the way the two ninjas died, the person behind this incident must have deep malice towards Konoha!
In other words, not only was the Wood Release that the entire Senju clan had longed for inherited by a guy who appeared out of nowhere, but that guy actually stood on the opposite side of Konoha.
No, it's more than that.
Swordsmen, Fire Style Ninjas, Wood Style Ninjas, and even the surviving members of the Uzumaki clan.
I'm afraid that's the case.
I'm afraid they have all become Konoha's enemies?
Such a ridiculous, funny and frightening thing.
“…”
Tsunade fell silent, as did Jiraiya.
The two men stood side by side, looking at the corpse. No one spoke first, and their eyes had different expressions.
For a moment, the only sound that could be heard outside the window was the whistling of the cold wind.
The more I think about it, the more scared I become. It’s terrifying when I think about it carefully.
"Haah!"
After a long silence, Tsunade took a deep breath and said in a deep voice without turning her head: "Jiraiya."
"I understand." Before Tsunade could finish her words, Jiraiya sighed and interrupted, "I will keep it a secret."
The reappearance of Wood Release, the Bloodline Limit of the ninja god, will inevitably attract the attention of all countries, not to mention that it did not appear in Konoha.
Once the news gets out, it will certainly cause an uproar, and people will covet the power of Wood Release, and some people in Konoha will do the same.
At that time, those members of the Senju tribe who have changed their identities and abandoned their surnames will probably also be persecuted.
This was definitely not the result Jiraiya wanted to see.
"Thanks."
Tsunade tilted her head slightly, first thanked him, and then said with a serious expression: "Also, the matter of the Uzumaki clan..."
"Sorry." Jiraiya shook his head this time, “This is the only thing I can't agree to."
Unlike those ignorant young jonin, he certainly knew the existence of the "root".
The root ninja appeared here before them, and of course he understood what this meant.
The miserable death of the root ninja shows that Konoha's thoughts have been exposed, and the surviving Uzumaki clan members will most likely regard Konoha as an enemy.
Although Jiraiya was very dissatisfied with the old man's actions, he must put the safety of Konoha first.
Because the current Nine-Tails Jinchuriki is Uzumaki Mito-sama.
Even the future Nine-Tails Jinchuriki is a girl named Uzumaki Kushina.
If the Uzumaki clan chooses to be enemies of Konoha, then Konoha's attitude towards the two jinchūriki will need to change to a certain extent.
Jiraiya understands these things, and so does Tsunade.
But compared to Jiraiya's rationality, Tsunade was more willing to believe in Grandma Mito.
Tsunade turned her head expressionlessly and stared straight at Jiraiya's side face.
But until the end, Jiraiya never looked at her, and Tsunade was as disappointed as ever.
What on earth was she fantasizing about?
Will fantasy Jiraiya change because of her?
Jiraiya is still the same Jiraiya.
He has never changed.
Tsunade turned back and said nothing, but suddenly felt a sense of exhaustion, and something in her heart quietly went out.
This village was built by the eldest grandfather and the second grandfather...
"You will regret it." She lowered her head, her eyes became gloomy, and there was a trace of disappointment on her face, and she said softly, "You will all regret it."
If the old man knew about the Uzumaki Country, he would definitely be wary of Grandma Mito.
What will happen then is difficult to predict.
But, where are the surviving Uzumaki clan members now?
