🕑 Added 2024-05-27 12:07:00 +0000 UTCChapter 53: The anger and regret of the Uzumaki clan elders
While the explosion resounded on the first floor of the building.
Uzumaki Tetsuya and the clan elders in the conference room also felt the extremely strong shock.
"Are you planning to break through directly from the front?"
After taking a look at the mess on the ground outside, Uzumaki Tetsuya was still confused.
A second ago, they were singing and dancing, and the mask festival was in full swing. Why were they suddenly attacked?
"It seems that this attack was premeditated, but I don't know who is behind it."
The Uzumaki ninja said solemnly, "The signal for help has been sent out, and all ninjas will come to reinforce us soon. Until then we have to protect everyone h..."
Just when he started to console Uzumaki Tetsuya, a clan elder suddenly made a quiet gesture and said softly: "Shh, someone is coming outside."
Hearing this, everyone subconsciously put on guard.
Sure enough, even Uzumaki Tetsuya, who had no sensory ability, heard the increasingly clear footsteps outside the door.
And the footsteps stopped after arriving outside the door of the conference room where they were, and footsteps stopped outside the door.
Seeing this, Uzumaki ninja took out a kunai, silently gestured to his companions, and then they stood on both sides of the conference room door, protecting Uzumaki Tetsuya and others behind him.
If there is an enemy with malicious intentions outside, they will blow that person into pieces and then try to get a chance to break out.
The rest of the people understood the meaning and held their breath subconsciously.
For a moment, the air in the entire conference room was as quiet as death.
But at this time, the imagined break-in did not happen.
knock! Knock knock!
Accompanied by a very "polite" knock on the door, a familiar voice came into his ears: "It's me, Haruka."
In an instant, the tense atmosphere suddenly relaxed, as if a breath of fresh air was flowing in.
Creak.
The door to the conference room was opened, and everyone couldn't help but breathe a sigh of relief when they saw Uzumaki Haruka.
However, they saw two young faces behind him, as well as several figures wearing black robes.
The clan elder with the strongest perception felt his whole heart tighten subconsciously.
If they weren't standing in front of him now, his perception would not respond at all.
"Lord Clan Leader."
The Uzumaki ninja was also surprised and couldn't help asking: "Who are these people..."
"They..."
"A sympathetic person who feels injustice for you."
Without waiting for Uzumaki Haruka to introduce them, how many people are there? Kumokawa stood up with a gentle smile and said in a gentle tone:"My name is Tsukimi Sato Kumokawa, I am from the country of rain."
The country of rain?
Hearing this, everyone present could not help but be stunned and a little confused for a moment.
"Let's make a long story short."
Looking at the clansmen who were still in the dark, Uzumaki Haruka's expression was a little complicated, and he gritted his teeth and said, "Konoha, betrayed us!"
————————
"What?"
"Obviously Knowing Kirigakure's actions, they still turned a blind eye to us?!"
"They actually want to embezzle our clan's property after we were invaded?"
"Damn Konoha, that bastard Sarutobi Hiruzen, how dare he treat us like this?!”
Bang!!
"How much have we paid for Konoha since the Warring States Period until now!"
A grumpy clan elder slapped the table and roared: "What about Senju Hashirama's promise of ever-lasting friendship to us back then? It won't count after his death, Right? Are their consciences eaten by dogs?"
"Is it because Konoha itself is too busy?" A clan elder with a gentler personality said in a low voice.
"Fart!" Another clan elder yelled and cursed, "We didn't expect Konoha to send troops to support us in the first place. They just need to send someone to remind us, but they are not even willing to do such a simple thing!"
"No! They sent people to embezzle our family's property!"
"Damn it, these ungrateful bastards, Mito-sama is still alive now, Kushina was sent there not long ago, they broke the agreement between us so quickly!"
The whole conference hall was filled with excitement, and the old people were waving their arms and crutches, and everyone was shouting.
Kumokawa on the side just watched with a smile on his face, sipping warm tea as if enjoying the performance.
It wasn't until the atmosphere reached its climax that he gently put down the teacup.
Click.
The teacup was placed on the conference table in front of him, making a crisp but unignorable sound.
Just as the last high note of the performance fell, the noise fell silent in an instant, and everyone couldn't help but turn their heads to look at the figure.
"I understand your anger."
Kumokawa nodded slightly and said in a gentle tone: "However, the most important thing now is how to deal with the advance troops sent by Kirigakure, but there is still Kirigakure's main force behind them. "
Hearing this, everyone's expressions became complicated, and for a moment they felt helpless and desperate.
"We..." A clan elder lowered his head, his tone full of regret, "We have not experienced war for too long, hiding under the protection of Konoha's wings, indulging in a false and fragile peace."
"The current strength of the country of Whirlpool cannot stop Kirigakure alone. "
After a long period of peace and commercial development, they have almost become a commercial country like the Country of Tea, and the younger generation has long lost the experience of fighting.
Even these old guys have only a brain of knowledge and creaking bones left.
"I'm sorry." The elder of the Uzumaki clan raised his old face, looked at the young clansmen around him and choked out, "It's all because of us old immortals who relied too much on and trust Konoha, which led to the current situation."
As soon as these words came out. Other clan elders also lowered their heads in guilt, and said sadly: "We, we are sorry for the Uzumaki clan!"
No matter how regretful they are, they now understand a fact.
——The Kingdom of Whirlpool is coming to an end!
"..."
Seeing the guilty and crying looks of the elders, Kumokawa's eyes flickered slightly, and he made a judgment on the character of these guys.
The emotional idiots, even at their age, can still cry whenever they want.
The Uzumaki clan without edge and scheming are not suitable for establishing an independent country at all. They are only suitable for being attached to a big tree and serving as a solid city wall to protect the big tree.
Both in terms of ability and personality, they are natural helpers.
"You don't need to be so pessimistic."
After gathering his thoughts, Kumokawa folded his hands to cover his chin, looked at the people immersed in sadness, and said with a smile: "Perhaps, I can provide some help within my ability."
Hearing this, there was some excitement on the side. The desperate Uzumaki Tetsuya came back to his senses, and his eyes suddenly lit up.
"This, Lord Tsukimi..." Uzumaki Tetsuya also changed his title very naturally and asked quickly, "Excuse me, how many people did you bring?"
One thousand? Or, a few hundred?
With hundreds of ninjas who are good at offensive ninjutsu, and the Uzumaki clan cooperating and assisting, there may be hope to defend Uzushio Village!
