Uzushio Village Building, Conference Room.
"The Country of Fire hopes to further sign a free trade agreement with our Country of Whirlpool to eliminate trade barriers and promote the free flow of goods, technology, and personnel."
The thin moonlight shines on the brown-black conference table. A middle-aged man sitting at the head of the conference table carefully glanced at the other people present and said, "Do you have any opinions, clan elders?"
One of the old men glanced at him helplessly and sighed: "Tetsuya, you are the Daimyo of the country of Whirlpool, before you ask us, let us hear your thoughts first."
"Ah?"
Hearing this, Uzumaki Tetsuya also blinked and said, "I am young and inexperienced, I will listen to the clan elders."
He said it very humbly, but he couldn't help but sigh in his heart.
'I would rather not have the daimyo position I bought with my daughter, but it's not something I can decide...'
When he thought of Kushina living in a strange foreign land as the Nine-Tailed Jinchuriki, and when he thought Kushina was crying when she left him, he couldn't help but feel a sense of heartache and helplessness as.
But in front of these clan elders who are all grandfathers, there is really no room for rejection and resistance.
I just hope that Sarutobi Hiruzen can keep his promise and take good care of Kushina so that she will not be bullied by others.
"In that case, just reply."
At the same time, several other people chatted quietly for a while, and finally nodded and said: "The war is so fierce now, although it is unlikely to affect us, but with the Country of Fire Reaching an agreement will be beneficial to both of us."
"After all, our country of Whirlpool and the country of Fire have always prospered and suffered losses. This is an agreement that has been adhered to since the Warring States Period." (Warring States Period= Sengoku Period)
Hearing the elders have also agreed. He nodded in agreement.
In the eyes of these high-level officials, Konoha and the Uzumaki clan can be said to be as close as brothers.
Not only because of the relationship between Mito-sama and Hashirama-sama, even the most outstanding Uzumaki Kushina in recent years was sent to Konoha at the request of Sarutobi Hiruzen.
After all, Mito-sama is considered to have lived a long life even compared to other Uzumaki members.
Konoha hopes that Kushina can succeed Mito-sama as the second Nine-Tails Jinchuriki, and they, the top leaders of the Uzumaki Country, also hope to stabilize the friendly relationship with Konoha.
"Please take a look at this."
At this time, Uzumaki Tetsuya suddenly placed a form on the conference table.
"What is this?" Everyone was stunned for a moment, then picked up the form and frowned.
"The Daimyo of the Country of Fire said that the caravan we sent earlier was affected by the turmoil, and some ordnance and supplies seemed to have been lost. I hope we can make up for that part as soon as possible..."
After hearing the Daimyo's words, the clan elders' expressions were a bit unsightly.
"Any loss of supplies is an excuse. It's obvious that he wants more."
One of the clan elders suppressed his anger and said in a deep voice: "We don't have much supplies now. If we give them some more..."
Seeing that several clan elders were a little dissatisfied, Uzumaki Tetsuya also quickly made peace with the situation, and tried to persuade him with a smile: "You guys don't know, the name of the Fire Country has been succeeded by Enichi Osamu. It's better not to cause trouble at this time."
"Enichi Osamu, the youngest son of Daimyo?"
After hearing his words, several clan elders frowned and said, "That old guy actually abdicated at this time, and gave his position to a little kid. No wonder he is so pushy..."
After a noisy discussion for a long time, Uzumaki Tetsuya kept arguing, and by the end of the conversation there was sweat on his forehead.
"Then let it be like this, Tetsuya, send someone over to negotiate and give them at 10% less than the selling price."
The rich man knocked on his cane and said in a deep voice: "Just think of it as giving the new daimyo some face. You can't be evil. "
The Uzumaki clan does not have very strong combat power. They rely more on physical skills, perception and sealing skills. In fact, there are only a few people who can become ninjas, and there are not that many people who can be used to form an intelligence department.
Before the Second Ninja War completely breaks out, they must manage their relationship with the Fire Nation and use the intelligence systems of the Fire Nation and Konoha. Only in this way can they continue to develop with peace of mind.
With the distance between them and Konoha, if something unexpected happened, the ANBU would be able to arrive in just one day.
At that time, no matter which big country it is, no matter how hard it is to break their defense, they will be exhausted to death.
"Then let's stop it here today."
Uzumaki Tetsuya stood up, bowed slightly to the clan elders present, and said in a low voice: "Thank you clan elders, if there is any new news, I will notify you separately at that time. Please enjoy the Mask Festival."
"We are all old bones. What's there to enjoy? Let the young people enjoy themselves." The elders waved their hands and laughed at themselves, then got up and left.
After all the clan elders left, Uzumaki Tetsuya let out a breath and walked to the window to look at the busy downtown in the distance.
Even though it was late at night, the lights were still on.
The crowds were surging like ants, forming a slowly swirling flow of black people on the street.
But at this time.
boom!!
A loud bang came from far to near instantly, and the whole building was shaken.
The window in front of Uzumaki Tetsuya buzzed and vibrated, cracking like spider webs with a rattling sound, splitting the confused face reflected in the glass into multiple parts.
As an ordinary person who does not know ninjutsu, Uzumaki Tetsuya's first reaction was to squat on the spot with his hands covering his head to avoid pieces of glass fragments.
After confirming that there were no subsequent consequences, he stood up in a cold sweat while holding on to the edge of the window. He looked up and looked into the distance outside the window as if facing a formidable enemy, and said horrifyingly: "What happened?"
He saw that countless birds were frightened. It took off, a large black smoke came from a distance, and the orange-red firelight illuminated half of the sky.
" Did the explosive tags stored in the armory explode?" Uzumaki Tetsuya murmured to himself, but soon shook his head, and the expression on his face became horrified, "No, no, that direction is..."
"The business street where the mask festival is being held!"
Just when he felt chilled, the door of the conference room was pushed open.
The clan elders who had left came in embarrassedly, and beside them were several Uzushio Village ninjas with tense faces. They breathed a sigh of relief after seeing that Uzumaki Tetsuya was okay.
"Lord Daimyo, and all the clan elders."
A ninja walked out, his face a little ugly, but he still comforted: "Some accidents happened, please wait here for the time being, others are going to come to the rescue."
”So, What happened?" Uzumaki Tetsuya's body trembled slightly, his eyes widened and he asked, "Is it an accident, or...an attack?"
If someone attacks Uzushio Village, then they are too confident!
Also, why was no one warning from the beginning to the end? When did the defense force become so weak?
"Please don't worry, all the ninjas are coming. It won't..."
Before Uzumaki Tetsuya could get an accurate answer, the expressions of several clan elders and several ninjas changed, and they suddenly turned their heads to look out the window and said solemnly: "Someone is coming!"
Hearing this, Uzumaki Tetsuya subconsciously turned his head to look, and suddenly felt a chill in his heart.
He saw a white mist suddenly pouring out from outside, and the buildings were gradually submerged, until their building was enveloped, filled with a chilling and cold atmosphere.
Judging from the way the ninjas looked like they were facing a formidable enemy, it was obvious that the mist was not naturally generated.
"Could it be..." Uzumaki Tetsuya's eyes twitched, "Are you coming for us?"
