The conference room fell into silence, and there were no more whispers.
The one who entered the conference room was Hiruzen Sarutobi who was wearing a Hokage robe, and his three assistants who were following behind him.
"Sorry everyone, you have to come out at such a short notice."
Hiruzen Sarutobi walked in front of everyone, and their eyes couldn't help but focus on him. It wasn't until he naturally pulled up his chair and sat in the main seat, and placed the Hokage hat on the table in front of him, that he nodded slightly to everyone present and said in a gentle tone: "Except those who are fighting outside, it seems that everyone is here."
He did not explain why he was late, he started the meeting directly.
"Third Hokage-sama, so what is the topic of this meeting?"
Uchiha Shitai leaned forward slightly, looked at Sarutobi Hiruzen at the end, and asked bluntly.
No one minded him being late for no reason. From the fact that he came with three advisors, they knew they had already had a small meeting of their own.
"Oh, there are two main things to talk about this time."
Sarutobi Hiruzen just held his pipe in his hand, looked at everyone with a smile, and said calmly: "Sakumo and Orochimaru asked for more manpower, what do you think?"
As soon as these words came out, the ninja clan leaders present frowned, understanding that the Third Hokage was asking for someone again.
"Third Hokage -sama, aren't the abilities of senior Sakumo and Orochimaru enough to deal with Sunagakure's enemies?" Hyuga Fumito also asked in a tactful tone.
"The opponents are Chiyo, who inherited the mantle of the 'first puppet master' Monzaemon, and her son and daughter-in-law, two elite jounin with very rich combat experience."
Sarutobi Hiruzen shook the pipe in his hand and said with a smile: "I don't think that the ambitious Sanshouo no Hanzo of Amegakure Village will not make any move at this time, so it's better to make plans in advance."
Hearing this, the expressions of the Uchiha clan leader were a little impatient, and He said bluntly: "The Uchiha clan is willing to use all the strength of the clan to assist the front line..."
But before he could finish his words, Danzo, who had been standing silent behind Sarutobi Hiruzen, spoke.
"The Guards(police force) and the Third Hokage need to guard the village to prevent other forces from getting involved at this time."
He emphasized the word "Guards" to remind the Uchiha Shitai what their responsibilities were.
"You!"
Uchiha Shitai's expression changed, and he glared at Shimura Danzo.
"Why are you staring at me?" Danzo sneered, "I'm doing this for your own good."
Handing over the management of the security force to the Uchiha clan was an arrangement made by his teacher, the Second Hokage Senju Tobirama.
In Danzo's opinion, his teacher's skills were absolutely amazing!
On the one hand, it binds the Uchiha clan to the police force, and on the other hand, it also makes the Uchiha clan unpopular.
Most Uchiha really want to maintain the internal security of Konoha, but some Uchiha with abnormal brains can't help but cause trouble. A piece of mouse droppings is enough to ruin the porridge that others have finally made.
Moreover, the Uchiha clan has nothing to say. The security of the entire Konoha has been given to you. If your own people can't do their job well, you can't blame us outsiders.
"That's enough, Danzo!"
Sarutobi Hiruzen glanced at Danzo with a cold look, and said solemnly: "The leaders of the four clans have good intentions, and they are all thinking for the sake of Konoha."
Danzo shut his mouth obediently, but he couldn't help but sneer in his heart.
To put it bluntly, you don’t want the Uchiha clan to leave the village and criticize them in a roundabout way.
"Hmph! It's up to you!"
Uchiha and the other parties clearly heard the meaning of Sarutobi Hiruzen's words. They sat in their seats with an ugly expression and snorted coldly and stopped talking.
"Third Hokage-sama."
Seeing that his sworn enemy was being scolded, the Hyuga Fumito's eyes flashed with schadenfreude, and he immediately spoke seriously to Sarutobi Hiruzen: "We, Hyuga clan, are willing to send fifty ninjas and supplies to support the front lines.”
"Very good!" After hearing this, Sarutobi Hiruzen nodded with satisfaction and said in a pleased tone, "The Hyuga clan is indeed a wealthy family in Konoha, and they really care about the safety of Konoha! "
Uchiha Shitai couldn't help but curse in his heart: "Main Family don't feel sorry for branch family members no matter how many of them die. The Hyuga clan can have as many Byakugan as they want. The Uchiha clan doesn't have that many Sharingan eyes!"
After the Hyuga clan expressed its stance, Ino-shika-cho also expressed its stance one after another. The other ninja clans could only sigh and accept the loss of being dumb.
"It's my luck, it's all Konoha's luck that you guys are here!"
Hiruzen Sarutobi sighed and stood up, bowed deeply to everyone with a serious face, and said in a grateful and sincere tone: "Thank you everyone for your support!"
Seeing this, the atmosphere in the conference room suddenly froze, and for a while, some people actually felt a little touched.
"Third Hokage-sama, why are you doing this!"
"Even if you don't say it, we will take the initiative to bring it up!"
"We are all part of Konoha, so naturally we have to contribute to Konoha!"
Everyone spoke up one after another. Consolation, the atmosphere in the entire conference room was extremely enthusiastic for a while, and some newly promoted young jounin were even more enthusiastic.
I wish I could go to the battlefield right now and shed my blood for Konoha.
"Yes, Lord Third, you don't have to be like this."
The expression on Hyuga Fumito's face was very "touched". He asked subconsciously: "Didn't you say that there is one more thing? What's the matter?"
Under everyone's gaze, Sarutobi Hiruzen straightened his back and wiped the tears from his eyes.
Immediately afterwards, everyone in the conference room heard his calm tone, but the content was deafening:"The last thing, there is intelligence that there are strange movements in Kirigakure."
At this point, Sarutobi Hiruzen's voice paused, he looked at everyone with a serious expression and said in a deep voice: "They are gathering troops on a large scale and preparing to invade the Kingdom of Whirlpool."
"What do you think about this?"
In an instant, as soon as these words came out, the conference room fell into a state of confusion. There was an eerie silence, the chandelier reflected warm white light, and the marble floor was illuminated.
Jiraiya sat in an inconspicuous corner of the conference room, looking stunned after hearing what the old man said.
Immediately, as if he thought of something, he turned his head and looked to his side.
He saw that Tsunade, who had lowered her head, raised her head and looked at her respected teacher with cold eyes.
"..."
The sound of comfort just now was as if it had never existed. The jounin who were originally shouting and noisy were stunned. They were so quiet that they could only hear the rapid breathing and heartbeat.
This old guy was waiting for this!
What can we say? What do we dare to say?
Danzo, who was behind Sarutobi Hiruzen, couldn't help but smile.
Hiruzen, Hiruzen, you are still soft-hearted after all.
