"...Symbiote?"
Kumokawa frowned, and thought to himself: "I really don't like that kind of sticky stuff."
He really didn't know much about the character "Carnage".
The most impressive thing is its appearance.
A ball of sticky stuff came out and enveloped the host, leaving only the big white eyes and the long fangs and tongue.
But judging from those capabilities, it is a very practical template...
Bang! Bang! Bang!!
Just as Kumokawa was thinking about the newly obtained template, he suddenly heard a knock on the door behind him.
"Boss!”
Yahiko's expression changed and he was about to say something.
But when Kumokawa smiled and shook his head, he swallowed the words on his lips.
“I am coming, please wait a moment." Kumokawa said while giving a wink, indicating to Nagato to restore the things in the house.
Creak.
Kumokawa opened the door slightly, and a few wisps of weak sunset light penetrated into the dark room.
"Excuse me, are you the noble nobleman that my husband talks about?" A kind voice came from outside the door.
Kumokawa saw a kind-faced, silver-haired old woman standing outside the door, and behind her was an expressionless young man.
He was also holding a bamboo basket in his hand, which contained three dinners. The steaming heat seemed to dissipate the deserted feeling as the evening approached.
"I cooked a lot of food today, but there are only two of us at home, so if we don't finish it, it will be wasted."
As she said that, she looked at Yahiko behind Kumokawa and said in a gentle tone: "If you don't mind, can you help me solve this problem?"
Yahiko felt that the other person was looking at him like she was looking at her child, and every word she said was as warm as the morning sun.
It sounded like a lame excuse deliberately told to keep them from being embarrassed.
"Is that so?" Kumokawa took the bamboo basket and said politely, "Then Thank you very much.”
"I should be the one to say thank you."
With a gentle smile on her face, the old woman pointed to the young man behind her and said, "This is my nephew. He will stay outside. If you need anything, you can leave it to him. Then I won't disturb your meal."
Just when she was about to turn around and leave, she suddenly stopped.
"By the way." She turned to look at Kumokawa and said with a smile, "We will have group activities at night, so please don't go out and walk around at will."
After that, she turned around and left slowly, leaving only the young man behind.
Ignoring the man's behavior that looked like he was serving but actually monitoring, the door was slammed shut by Kumokawa.
"Boss." Yahiko looked at the food in his hand and swallowed, "This shouldn't be eaten, right?"
Nagato gave him a look that looked retarded and poured the food directly into the empty space under the wooden bed.
If they eat this tonight, it will be their turn to be eaten by someone else tomorrow.
"Give it a try.”
Looking at his fresh meal, Kumokawa narrowed his eyes and spread his right hand.
The next moment, a "liquid" similar to flesh and blood poured out from the palm of his hand.
"It does not have an autonomous independent consciousness, let alone conflict or resistance, it should be similar to an extension of my consciousness. Otherwise, will it only act according to instructions and instincts?"
Kumokawa raised his eyebrows and showed a hint of interest.
And when he tried to control it with his consciousness, the "liquid" gradually rose up and turned into an erratic blood-red "mist".
"Sure enough, with the ability of [Stand: Stray Cat], it can indeed be transformed into a form similar to mist."
Kumokawa found that he could control this state, so he began to control and dispatch it and spread it out with all his strength.
The "blood mist" no longer gathered together, but spread out in all directions like mist, covering the entire room with a thin blood mist.
When he tried to put part of his consciousness into it, he found that the world in front of him had changed. The blood mist seemed to have become his "eyes", and he could clearly perceive the things shrouded in the mist.
Not what is seen, but what is perceived.
It's like observing things in the fog from God's perspective.
"In that case." Kumokawa "looked" at the dagger at his waist, "The next step is..."
"Eh?" Yahiko shook his head from side to side and looked at this scene in surprise, "What is this?"
Just when he tentatively stretched out his hand to touch the blood mist, Kumokawa's palm slightly clenched.
There was a scene in front of him that was like going back in time. The blood-red mist no longer spread around, but was gathered inward again by some kind of force.
In Kumokawa's empty palm, the first thing to condense was the red gauntlet, which was made up of blood mist and tightly compacted, and then came the blood-red blade on it.
A scarlet dagger was condensed in Kumokawa's hand, and the blade with a slightly cold light looked extremely sharp.
"Are hardness and sharpness positively related to control?"
He casually made a dagger with Symbiote and tried it briefly. Kumokawa roughly confirmed his ability.
The current level is no less than his mass-produced dagger.
Just as Kumokawa was thinking, a buzzing sound woke him up.
Ding! Ding! Ding!
Kumokawa raised his head and looked out the window, a strange color flashing in his eyes.
At this moment, the sun has completely set, and the last light has been swallowed up.
The pure blackness swallowed up almost everything, and all the buildings were shrouded in shadow.
And those three consecutive bells sounded from the stone tower in the distance.
The sound waves were as pervasive as the darkness at this moment. Even in the darkest room, Kumokawa could feel the trembling and buzzing.
“..." Kumokawa lowered his head to look at the scarlet dagger in his hand, which was unruffled, and whispered thoughtfully, "It seems that it will not be affected by the sound waves when I will use it."
While thinking about it, the bell rang again, the same three times.
Ding! Ding! Ding!
"Then, what is that?!"
There was an uncontrollable sense of fear in Yahiko's deliberately lowered voice.
After the second bell rang, the closed doors opened silently, and countless figures walked out.
His downcast face was shrouded in the shadow of his hood, and he clasped his hands together as if praying devoutly, walking toward the place where the bell rang like a pilgrim.
Beside the window, a figure could be vaguely seen, standing there like a corpse.
"Is this a so-called group activity?"
The corners of Kumokawa's mouth curved a little more, and he whispered: "Just give me a suitable whetstone."
As he finished speaking, the diffuse scarlet blood mist reflected in his blue eyes.
Hazy, mysterious, vague, boundless...
