It was also evening in Konoha at this time.
The cold street lights on the road, one after another, are like the moon floating in the sky round after round, squeezing out a road leading to the boundless darkness.
Under the busy streets with people coming and going, there are dense and thick shadows hidden.
"The thirty-first experiment begins."
In a huge and empty underground space, the lighting effect is as bright as day.
There is also a laboratory with double-sided glass here, where several figures in white coats and masks are busy, playing with the distilling bottles, test tubes, and utensils in front of them.
Rows of glass refrigerators display various materials, many unnamed reagents, and culture dishes containing cell tissues.
There are some glass containers on the side, containing transparent green solution, soaked in some weird plant specimens, as well as some animal torso specimens, eyeballs, kidneys and other bloody organs.
On the other side of the double-sided glass, a man wearing a black and gray kimono, his head and right eye wrapped in bandages, and with a gloomy breath stood there.
The narrow left eye was filled with deep darkness, staring at the busy guys in front of him.
No, it should be said that he was staring at something on the test bench.
It was a piece of white flesh about the size of a thumb, coming from the cell tissue of the "First Hokage".
But soon, the experimenters turned around and shook their heads slightly at the man.
"Danzo-sama, the thirty-first experiment failed."
Hearing this, Shimura Danzo's expression became even gloomier.
Although he didn't expect that this group of waste could really be cultivated, the slow progress still made him very irritated.
If Orochimaru and Tsunade had helped, the experiment would have gone much smoother than it did now.
Tsunade was out of the question.
If you want to recreate the Wood Release of the First Hokage, you must use the remains of the First Hokage to extract cell tissue for experiments.
Tsunade's character would never agree to this kind of desecration of the remains of the dead, not to mention that it was her grandfather's body. If she knew about it, it would become very troublesome.
Then, only Orochimaru is left.
Danzo could smell the same kind of scent from Orochimaru, and could feel that he was getting closer and closer to the "darkness".
However, it will take some time and an opportunity.
"..."
After a moment of silence, Danzo whispered in a hoarse and deep voice: "Continue."
Just as the words fell.
"Lord Danzo."
A masked figure suddenly appeared, holding a piece of paper in his hand. He half-knelt behind Danzo and said calmly: "The information coming from Kirigakure Village is the highest level of information."
The highest level?
Danzo's expression condensed, he turned around to receive the deciphered information, lowered his head and scanned it with squinted eyes.
As he watched, his brows gradually wrinkled.
Is there something unusual going on in Kirigakure, and is he plotting something against the Kingdom of Whirlpool?
Why the Kingdom of Whirlpool?
What is the purpose of Kirigakure?
In a way, the Kingdom of Whirlpool is the buffer zone between the Kingdom of Fire and the Kingdom of Water, and is also the barrier of the Kingdom of Fire.
However, because the two countries of Water and Fire face each other across the sea, they are not connected by continents like other big countries, so the buffering effect of the Whirlpool Country is unnecessary.
Therefore, Kirigakure's attack on the Country of Whirlpool does not pose a great threat to Konoha.
"Is it for the bloodline limit of the Uzumaki clan, or for the sealing techniques?"
As soon as this idea came up, Danzo shook his head to deny it.
Kirigakure Village is not short on bloodline limit ninjas. The Uzumaki clan's bloodline limit ability is also difficult to awaken, and their abilities are difficult to deal with. If they want to deal with them, even Kirigakure Village will have to pay a huge price.
The three-tails and six-tails are not as strong as the nine-tails. Ordinary sealing techniques are enough. There is no need to get the sealing techniques of the Uzumaki clan.
Moreover, as far as Danzo knew, Kirigakure's Three-Tails and Six-Tails Jinchūriki were still alive, and there was no need to replace the Jinchūriki.
This means that effort and gain are not proportional at all.
"So, are they really trying to contain us? In fact, they have already set a trap?"
Danzo fell into deep thought and doubt, and his face became increasingly gloomy.
Even though he and Sarutobi have arranged for Orochimaru to solve Kumogakure's trouble, Konoha is still facing the common threats of the Kingdom of Wind and the Kingdom of Earth, and Sanshouo no Hanzo from the Kingdom of Rain is not an easy-to-get-together kind guy.
Not to mention, Tsunade is still disabled.
Konoha is now facing greater pressure from the puppet army led by that woman Chiyo.
Also, the so-called Lord of Akatsuki City seems to be a kid named Tsukimi Sato Kumokawa?
Some of that brat's subordinates were actually able to discover a spy who possessed the "transparent release" bloodline limit. They even had the guts to package the spy's head as a gift and send it to Daimyo Mansion.
Thinking of the expressions of fear and regret written on that head, as well as the expression on Daimyo's face that was full of shock and anger, swearing, and losing all grace...
"No matter how precocious they are, they are just two brats."
Danzo's narrowed pupils flashed. With a cold look, he ordered in a calm tone: "This information will be handed over to the Third Hokage tomorrow. I will write a proposal and state the interests to him."
He knew his old friend so well, just like Sarutobi knew him too.
With Sarutobi's increasingly indecisive and fearful character, he would definitely be in a dilemma whenever he saw the interests he stated, and then he would convene a high-level meeting and argue with them.
But Danzo no longer wants to focus on these things, he must seize the time to make himself stronger.
Otherwise, anyone can ride on his head.
"This..."
Hearing this, the root ninja couldn't help but be startled, and said hesitantly: "Danzo-sama..."
"At this time, forcefully drawing out troops to support the Kingdom of Whirlpool will disperse and consume the limited power, and it will also start a war with the Kingdom of Water. It's not a wise move."
Before the root ninja could finish what he said, Danzo interrupted coldly: "Let's just be on the safe side. You can take some root ninjas and head to the border of Whirlpool Country to find out whether Kirigakure and Kirigakure are the same. The traps of other ninja villages."
"I will ask the third generation to arrange some people to guard the border between the Country of Whirlpool and the Country of Fire, so that no matter what happens, they can rush over in time to provide support."
"If they still can't reach there to help them in time. Let's collect the corpses of our allies. After all, we have been friends with the Uzumaki clan for generations..."
At this point, he paused and shouted in a low voice: "Remember! It's all for Konoha!"
"Yes!" The ninja did not hesitate at all, lowered his head and said solemnly, "Everything is for Konoha!"
The root ninja retreated into the darkness and left quietly.
Danzo looked down at the piece of information with the light flashing in his eyes.
Although he still didn't believe the authenticity of this information, he now had some hope that Kirigakure was serious.
If Kirigakure really fights with the Country of Whirlpool, no matter whether Kirigakure wins or loses, Kirigakure, who has suffered heavy losses, will not be able to intervene in the next war.
In this way, Konoha only needs to face Sunagakure and Iwagakure...
Moreover, his wood release experiment also needs the assistance of sealing techniques.
"I'm sorry, Mito-sama." Danzo whispered, "Everything is for Konoha!"
As he said that, he thought of the head with a look of regret in his mind.
What kind of person, or what happened, could make a veteran spy with a family and children regret his actions?
——————
In the Mizukage office in Kirigakure Village.
"Hahaha, it's so funny."
White Zetsu laughed very happily and sarcastically said: "Those spies are all from the bottom. All the information was sent to Danzo, but he didn't do anything at all."
" Madara-sama, your former companion doesn't seem to be very..."
"Shut up."
Madara glanced at White Zetsu coldly, and the proud White Zetsu suddenly trembled, covered its mouth and nodded obediently.
Ignoring this brainless idiot, Madara looked up at the dim moon shrouded in fog outside the window, and then looked down at his chest, with a complex look flashing in his eyes.
He thought of his last battle with Hashirama, which was also his last meeting with Hashirama.
——————
'I want to protect us... no, protect my village. No matter what happens, I firmly believe that protecting the village is the first priority. Protecting it is equivalent to protecting people, protecting ninjas and children. '
'Whether it's my friends, brothers, or even my children, as long as they are enemies of the village, I will never let them go! '
——————
"Tsk! In order to protect the village, no one will be spared as long as he is an enemy of the village? Okay, that's great!"
Thinking of this, Madara felt a dull pain in his chest, and the corners of his mouth twitched. With a sarcastic smile, he whispered: "You are amazing, you are noble, you have great love, but do you think everyone is like you?"
"As I said, you are putting the cart before the horse, and sooner or later you will become the leader of the village. Darkness, do you see it now? That is the Konoha you want to protect, the disciple taught by that bastard Senju Tobirama."
"For the benefit of Konoha, he can sacrifice everything, sacrifice the Shimura clan, and sacrifice the Senju clan. Now he is going to sacrifice the Uzumaki clan. "
”From the beginning to the end, he has been implementing your twisted ideas, isn't he?"
"But is this really what you want?"
White Zetsu listened to Madara murmuring, scratching its head in embarrassment.
Madara-sama is quite domineering when normal, but when he mentions the man named Hashirama, he feels like an ordinary old man.
Always like to miss the people and things in the past, which seems to be a common problem among elderly people.
"Um, Madara-sama, excuse me..." Seeing that he was talking without any sign of stopping, White Zetsu could only raise its hand tentatively and said cautiously, "Actually, I have one more thing to report. "
"It's about the Land of the Sky."
