After a misty day, late night comes in Akatsuki City.
After the busy work, there is wanton catharsis, and there are swaying figures on the road.
The hazy light in the drizzle seemed to be drunk, and the oval white light was dim and blurry from far to near, and a few people tangled in a ball in the distance could be vaguely seen.
"You...Hiccup! Can you walk on your own?"
"You bastard! Don't look down on me! I won't get drunk again! Hiccup!"
Under the street lights, several workers supported each other, but none of them could stand firmly. They were swinging along the street with wine bottles, and from a distance, they looked like they were doing some strange dance.
Finally, the person who shook the most even hugged the street lamp with his hands and feet, rubbing his face while muttering drunkenly.
"Give me wine! I... Hiccup! I'm happy today! I'll have a wife soon... Hiccup!"
"Hahaha! This guy was so proud after winning the drinking contest just now, and now he has revealed his true colors after stepping down, hahaha!" The other people also leaned against the streetlamp, pointing at his embarrassment and laughing.
The light dimly reflected on their drunken and rosy cheeks, and their hot breaths melted into a heat wave visible to the naked eye and rose to the sky. Even the cold wave of the rainy night was washed away by the waves of indulgent desire.
But just as they were laughing and joking.
"Hmm!" The man hugged the street lamp, muttered in confusion, and instantly vomited.
One of them couldn't dodge and was splashed with vomit. He couldn't help but lowered his head and cursed: "This old bastard..."
"Shh!" The other person quickly covered his mouth, pointed to the black building in the distance, and whispered in a low voice, "Unknowingly, We have reached the front of the administrative department. Mr. Kumokawa may still be working."
Here!
The few people who were laughing and cursing suddenly fell silent. They were frightened to wake up even if they were drunk, and they invariably raised their heads and looked into the distance.
However, when he saw the lights on the top floor of the building, his face suddenly darkened, and he turned to look at the laughing man angrily.
"How dare you make fun of Mr. Kumokawa! Beat him up!"
"Wait! Wait, what about this old drunkard?"
Hearing this, several people turned their heads, only to see that he was already snoring and mumbling incomprehensible words.
"Wife...kiss…”
Upon seeing this, several black lines suddenly appeared on their faces. One of them signed and took the initiative: "You guys go first. I drank the least today. I will take him back."
"Okay, okay, I should have told him to drink less."
"Can you blame us? I don't know what disease he had that he drank to death."
After a while, two figures staggered into a small wooden house.
"Phew! You old bastard weighs as much as a pig!"
The man put him on the bed, wiped the sweat from his forehead, and couldn't help but murmured something.
Standing by the bed, silent for a long time, he asked in a low tone: "Is it worth it?"
But the man looked as drunk as death, as if he didn't hear his words at all. Instead, he was muttering someone's name, and his slightly trembling eyelids were filled with tears.
Crunch...
As the door of the house was gradually closed, the light coming from outside was blocked, and the house gradually fell into darkness.
Only gentle snoring could be heard in the small room, but after a while, even the snoring disappeared, until finally it fell into complete darkness and silence.
Only the noisy wind was left, gently beating the windows, covering up everything. In that dark room, looming shadows climbed up and passed silently through the shadow.
"Gugu... Gugu..."
The highest point of the entire Akatsuki City, on the top of the administrative building, is the bronze bell.
Several white pigeons pecked at the raindrops on their feathers with their beaks, their dark red pupils reflecting the uninvited guests below.
In the administrative building, the two people on duty were chatting somewhat boringly, but gradually, the tone of their conversation began to soften, and the frequency of communication began to decrease.
Soon, there were only vague responses to each other, as if they were extremely sleepy and perfunctory.
Colorless and odorless mist evaporates from the internal air inlet of the ventilation system, and the sleepiness that cannot respond erodes their weak consciousness.
Creak.
The administrative building was very quiet late at night, and the door opened silently.
The dust on the ground was raised by the breeze brought by the door, and then a thick black shadow entered like a ghost, standing upside down on the ceiling of the duty room like an owl, its figure looming without making any sound.
The man wears a half-face mask that covers his mouth and ears, making people subconsciously think of a red-faced and fanged bat.
He raised his head and glanced at the two people below to make sure that they were completely asleep. He formed a seal with his hands and opened and closed his mouth silently, as if talking to himself:
"I've sneaked in. How are you doing there? Are you ready to respond?"
After a moment, he heard a vague response.
"Tsukimi Sato… Kumokawa isn't here. He should be training in the evening at this time..."
At this point, the voice on the other side suddenly stopped, making the expression on the man's face tighten. He thought something unexpected had happened and asked quickly: "Saburo! What's wrong?"
"...It's okay. Also, don't call my name, Bat."
The weak connection established by the secret technique between the two was not broken, and the man soon heard the voice of his companion: "The idiot brat who came today has gone to find Tsukimi Sato Kumokawa. You haven't been discovered yet, so hurry up and Take action."
Hearing this, the man breathed a sigh of relief, his heartbeat and breathing gradually weakened.
He has absolute confidence in his acting and infiltration abilities, because he has infiltrated countless dangerous and secret places in this way, and he has even successfully infiltrated the Daimyo Mansion where the Daimyo of the Land of Fire lives.
That time he stole Konoha's military strategic deployment and sold it to the black market for a large sum of money for gambling.
Unfortunately, he soon lost all his money in gambling, and the daimyo's people also found him.
However, the daimyo also took a fancy to him and wanted him to sneak into various countries to obtain some information.
And his first test is this new regime - the City of Akatsuki.
Normally, the difficulty of this mission should be the same as before, and even safer than the places he has infiltrated before.
But he felt vaguely uneasy.
Tsukimi Sato Kumokawa gave him the impression that he was very kind but also very capable. He was almost impeccable in his conduct and work. He was definitely not a simple person.
And his infiltration this time was really smooth.
Even if this is how it should be...
"Owl."
Thinking of this, the man subconsciously called out, just like before, when he lost his sense of security, he hoped to hear "I am here".
However, no one responded to him, only dead silence.
Tick…
In the deathly quiet duty room, the subtle sounds seemed particularly heavy, even if they were as light as the sound of raindrops.
Without any hesitation, the man put his hand on the handle of the blade on the side of his leg, turned around suddenly in surprise, and looked for possible enemies.
The next moment, a ray of cold light suddenly appeared, making his body tremble.
Almost driven by instinct, he turned his head sideways with a horrified expression.
He only heard the screaming wind passing by his ears, and immediately, warm and moist blood gathered from his cheeks to his chin.
"Cough!" The man's face become asymmetrical. He covered his mouth to suppress his scream, but the severe pain also made his face distorted.
He stared at the past with a ferocious expression, but all he saw was a thin and short figure, as if coming out of the shadows.
"Are you looking for him?"
A childish but cold voice reached the man's ears. Under his terrifying gaze, a round object was thrown over by the man.
It was clearly a man's head, with a black kunai piercing his temple.
Because it was a penetrating brain injury, the wound was tightly blocked, and the blood did not flow freely, but slowly fell drop by drop, forming a pool of blood on the ground.
The sound of raindrops he heard before was the sound of falling blood..
And the owner of that head...
"Saburo..."
The man suddenly felt dazed for a moment, and a chill crawled from his spine to his neck.
Immediately, he saw the kid raising his hand and pointing it at him, holding a short sword with a sharp blade.
"Bat......"
He said the man's code name, but then shook his head and said coldly: "No, I should call you Fogdu."
"Now, you will be executed for espionage."
Nagato's blade reflected the dusty face of Fogdu.
But that familiar face was now filled with fear and horror.
