Thick black clouds are like snakes, coiling over the lake in the Kingdom of Rain.
The falling rainwater splashed on the river, making it look like it was raining all over the world.
Strong winds brought heavy rain, the black flags at the port stood straight, and the moored ships creaked.
boom!
In the rusty port watch room.
The skinny old man locked the windows, put on a pair of velvet earmuffs, huddled in a chair with a cup of soju, and ended his insignificant "work" early.
"Anyway, no fool will come in this damn weather."
The old man looked tiredly at the capital of the Kingdom of Rain in the distance, where tall steel buildings were looming in the heavy rain.
What's more, with the current situation of the Country of Rain, no one dares to come here to do business, even from countries that have established trade relations.
He is the person responsible for managing ship berthing, which is just "formed" now, so naturally he doesn't need to stay awake all night.
Coincidentally, someone thought of going together.
Woo!!
A faint flute sound like a blue whale's singing voice gradually cut through the black rainy night.
"Okay, it's so big!"
Yahiko's voice came from the rain curtain.
The huge black shadow was clearly reflected in the raised orange pupils.
Accompanied by the sound of water waves breaking, black shadows rolled over from the river.
It was a huge ship painted in the same color as this rainy night!
Soon, it cut through the oncoming huge waves and stopped steadily in front of the port, not far from the shore.
Woo!!
Kumokawa put his fingers to his mouth and blew a loud whistle, as if responding to the giant ship.
"Let's get on the boat."
When he saw the ladder was lowered on the boat, he glanced at the little ones beside him and said, "The people who came to pick us up have arrived."
Without saying any nonsense, Kumokawa led Yahiko and others and walked up the boat ladder.
Five figures in black raincoats stood side by side on the boat, looking at the many ships moored in the port.
"Wow!"
Yahiko put his palm on his forehead, jumped like a monkey, looked around and looked down at the port, and sighed, "There are actually so many ships here..."
He has never seen nearly a thousand ships. A spectacular sight of ships docked in the port at the same time.
"If you rely on the mountains, you will eat the mountains, if you rely on the sea, you will eat the sea. You should adapt to local conditions."
Kumokawa slowly stretched out his hand, and the rainwater splashed on his hand, causing him to squint and smile: "The environment of the Country of Rain is harsh, but There are also merits."
The Rain Country is located in the center of the continent with the largest area in the entire Shinobi World, adjacent to the three major kingdoms of Fire, Wind, and Earth, and the three smaller kingdoms of Grass, Bird, and River.
The border between the two countries of Earth and Wind and the Kingdom of Rain is the towering mountains, which means that there are high mountain barriers in the southwest, northwest, and due west of the Kingdom of Rain.
The two just formed a valley-shaped mountainous area, and the only opening was on the east of the Land of Fire.
Compared with the cold ocean in the north of the Land of Frost, the ocean in the southeast of the Land of Fire is very mild. It is one of the areas in the Shinobi World with many ocean currents and humid air.
Judging from the rich granary zone of the Fire Country, we can see the influence of that ocean on the climate.
Therefore, when the northwest monsoon above the ocean blows toward the inland areas, it always brings a large amount of hot and humid air.
However, the mountains of Earth and Wind are too high, blocking the hot and humid airflow from the ocean, forcing the airflow full of water vapor to rise, and then condense into a large amount of terrain rain, which falls to the Kingdom of Rain, causing concentrated precipitation.
Therefore, most of the land of the Kingdom of Earth and the Kingdom of Wind is covered by desolate rocky lands and deserts, and the annual rainfall is less than one-tenth of that of the Kingdom of Rain.
It is this extremely extreme landform that created this "crying country".
Abundant rainfall gathers into several surging rivers, flowing like aorta to several surrounding countries.
"So, the Kingdom of Rain is uniquely endowed with the development of river transportation."
After a brief explanation, Kumokawa seemed a little helpless and couldn't help but sighed: "However, after all, it is still not as good as the Kingdom of Fire..."
It seems that even Senju Hashirama, who was naive enough to give the tailed beast to other great powers, was not a completely brainless fool.
Of course, it may also be Senju Tobirama's idea. Kumokawa really doesn't have high expectations for Hashirama's IQ.
"..."
"..."
"...Ah." Yahiko nodded thoughtfully, "Is that so?"
Konan turned to look at him and said in a surprised tone: "Yahiko, do you understand?"
"Of course I understand." Yahiko raised his head and said matter-of-factly, "If we flatten the mountains between us and the Land of Wind and the Land of Earth, it won't rain anymore!"
You just don't understand!
Whose graveyard do you think you are robbing?
"Ah ha ha ha ha!"
At this moment, a burst of hearty laughter suddenly came from the cabin.
Before the startled Yahiko could turn his head, he felt someone tap his shoulder.
"Don't worry, kid."
The man behind him smiled like an old fox, and said with gloating in his tone: "You will all learn these basic geographical knowledge in the future, hahaha."
"Ah? I, I It's still too late to get off the boat now... Ugh!"
Yahiko couldn't hold back anymore, and was about to let out a childish howl, but his mouth was covered by the expressionless Ayumi from beside him.
Konan turned around, bowed slightly to the person behind Yahiko, and said awkwardly and apologetically: "I'm sorry, Yahiko has caused you trouble."
It was an old man with white hair and a not stooped figure with a hearty smile on his face.
"Hahaha, don't be so polite. You are all the children brought back by Lord Kumokawa. We will be a family from now on."
The old man waved his hand casually and looked at Kumokawa, who was smiling and silent. His attitude became extremely respectful: "I'm sorry, Lord Kumokawa, I'm late today."
He didn't make excuses for his lateness, he just truly apologized for it.
Even if he was just a few minutes behind schedule.
"Uncle Tsuyu." Kumokawa smiled helplessly, "Aren't you going to the Kingdom of Water to transport goods today? You don't need to come to pick me up."
"How can it be considered trouble? I am able to be where I am today thanks to You."
The old man named Tsuyu shook his head and said with an ugly expression, "What's more, the Kingdom of Water has also encountered some trouble..."
Ayumi on the side suddenly asked:"Can you make a lot of money like this??"
Uncle Tsuyu came back to his senses, looked at Ayumi's little face, and seemed to have remembered something. A kind smile appeared on his face, and he said modestly: "The bounty should be more than that of ordinary ninjas."
Immediately, He shook his head again and said in a bitter tone: "However, old guys like us are like duckweeds. As soon as the wind blows, they will disappear in the water. If it weren't for Lord Kumokawa..."
There are water thieves on rivers who make a living by robbing merchant ships.
Da da da!
"Brother Kumokawa!"
A girl who had just learned to walk, wearing a loose cloth, stumbled over, held a bowl and handed it to Kumokawa, saying in a milky voice: "Drink water."
"Thank you, Shaoyu."
Kumokawa smiled and touched the girl's head, then took the water and drank it in one gulp.
However, after putting down the bowl, his eyes slowly moved into the distance.
"Really, I can't hold back the smell of blood."
In the dark blue pupils, a ship of similar size was moored on the river. There seemed to be a light red mist lingering around the ship's hull, making it look like a ghost ship.
