The Kingdom of Fire, Daimyo Mansion.
In the main hall of the Japanese-style room, two figures sat opposite each other at a low table, with golden and luxurious tatami beneath them.
There was a brand new shogi board between the two of them, and the situation on it could be seen at a glance as it became increasingly clear.
The party holding the "Jewel General" has been forced into a desperate situation, and the isolated "Jewel General" has been suppressed by the army.
Obviously, this is a game of unequal shogi skills, and the age and appearance of the two sides are also very different.
According to the unwritten "rules", if there is a match between an elder and a younger generation, the younger generation will go first with the "Jewel General" and the elder will go with the "King General".
(Jewel General is chosen by challenger)
Now in this game, it's completely the opposite.
The person holding the "Jewel General" is a man with a very gloomy temperament, while the person holding the "King General" is a young and graceful boy.
The boy naturally and relaxedly lay on his side on the tatami with his legs folded, with the back of his head resting on the lap of the kneeling maid behind him. He put one hand on his knee and looked down at the shogiboard with a smile. There were several beautiful maids holding cattail leaf fans in their hands and fanning beside him.
The man in front of him, as straight as a pine tree, looked at the shogiboard expressionlessly, so focused that he couldn't even breathe.
But the same thing is that they didn't stop at all, they kept moving the shogi pieces, and they knew the positions of all the shogi pieces clearly.
The only sound in the whole room was the rustling of shogi pieces being picked up and put down.
Defense, abandonment, blitz, introduction....
knock!
"Will you continue to make room for the general? Or risk him to delay time?"
After the last move was made, the young man with his face half-hidden behind a folding fan, narrowed his eyes slightly, and said with a chuckle: "Elder Danzo, you have already lost."
Hearing this, Danzo didn't react at all, only looking down at the shogiboard.
After a long time, he looked up at the young man and asked, "The shogi game is not over yet, why does Your Highness say I have lost?"
Seeing this, a trace of dissatisfaction flashed in the young man's eyes, but he quickly calmed down, and his eyes were slightly bent as if he were smiling.
"When the shogi game reaches the middle and bottom of the game, you have two infantrymen left on the field, which is a great advantage for offensive control, so you only focus on playing with the two pawns.”
"But if I were you, I would use them as bait, or abandon one of them, leaving only one to attack the hinterland, and cooperate with other shogi pieces to force it to surrender."
The young man put away the folding fan and said with deep meaning: "The inability to let go and the reluctance to let go are the reasons why you lost. Only by opening your mind and horizons can you see further, Elder Danzo."
Danzo narrowed his eyes and was about to say something, but was interrupted again.
"You want to demolish the east wall to make up for the west wall, and use delaying tactics, hoping to delay me until I make a mistake?" The young man shook his folding fan and said, "Sometimes, just admit defeat when it's time to admit defeat. Don't care too much about winning or losing."
As if he heard the hint of reminder and knock in his words, Danzo finally swallowed the words on his lips bit by bit.
"yes."
After lowering his head and memorizing the shogi game for a while, Danzo slowly reset the shogi pieces, sighed and said, "Your Highness's shogi skills are becoming more and more sophisticated. Every move I make is under your control."
"Oh, after all, I fell in love with shogi when I was 3 years old. At that time, my brothers were still playing small games such as afternoon tea parties and house drinks, so I could only play with my father, and now… I became good in shogi.
The young man covered his face with a folding fan, and all danzo could see was his proudly raised brows, and he smiled without humility: "Shogi is one of the few abilities I can be proud of."
After saying that, he suddenly changed the topic and sighed: "However, a shogi game is just a shogi game. As long as you are good at calculations and know about openent nature, you can win."
"It's a pity that the ninja world is not a shogi game after all. If I arrange my troops in a war, I will lose completely."
He didn't hide his shortcomings, and he didn't need to hide them in front of Danzo.
He is stronger in politics than fighting, more like a shogi player than a pawn.
Although Danzo is very naive in his political methods, he is more suitable as a blade inserted into the heart of the enemy.
For Konoha, everything can be given up. Even if his family betrays him, he will show no mercy. Not only does he treat others as tools, but he can also be used as a tool, and he doesn't care about his reputation at all.
As the daimyo of the Land of Fire, the boy could roughly tell what Danzo was thinking.
Perhaps Danzo has been regretting it, regretting the moment of hesitation he had when faced with the choice given by his teacher Tobirama.
Just a moment's hesitation, and he missed the position of Hokage.
Danzo's current decisiveness and ruthlessness are all showing his determination with actions. Perhaps he wants to tell Mr. Tobirama that he made a mistake by choosing Sarutobi.
Because what he values most is always Konoha as a whole, not Tobirama-sensei or anyone else in Konoha.
Although he will hesitate when it comes to defending his companions, he can shoulder everything for Konoha, even if it means sacrificing himself.
"So, His Highness came to me this time to ask me to do something?" Danzo asked bluntly.
"Yes, and no, because this is what you want to do." The young man nodded, then shook his head, then covered his face and said with a smile, "The war is coming, and I hope you can control the battlefield outside the country."
"What do you mean, Your Highness?"
"The Land of Rain."
There was a cold and stern look on the young man's face that did not match his age, and he whispered: "Since they want to resist without knowing their own strength, then let's bring the war to the Kingdom of Rain and beat them to death and maiming.!" ( maiming - to hurt somebody so badly that part of his/her body can no longer be used)
Hanzo's appearance and Rain Country's rebellion also aroused his vigilance.
Especially when he saw that the daimyo of the Rain Country began to lean towards Hanzo, this made him even more afraid as the daimyo of the Fire Country.
The nobles in the ninja world have always been in harmony with each other, and there is a tacit understanding between them that goes without saying.
For example, when the number of ninjas reaches a certain level, they will even deliberately cause wars to maintain their dominance.
Therefore, if it were not for the purpose of leaving a buffer between the big countries, how could the Kingdom of Rain survive until now?
How can you allow others to sleep soundly on the side of the couch?
The Kingdom of Rain danced so fiercely that he couldn't even sleep peacefully.
The Kingdom of Rain must be attacked to weaken its arrogance.
It's like the country of grass, where everyone just acts as a facilitator and becomes the "Leading party".
"I understand." Danzo narrowed his eyes and said in a low tone, "I will find a way to make the Country of Rain the target of public criticism from other big countries!"
"Also, over at Kumogakure Village, please don't worry, Your Highness, Orochimaru has already passed, and they will soon be overwhelmed."
Orochimaru?
Can he hold back Kumogakure Village?
Hearing this, the young man raised his eyebrows, recalling the man with a feminine temperament in his mind, and nodded casually.
As for how many people will die in the end, he didn't care about this kind of thing.
In the ninja world, the most valuable thing is human life, even ninjas are just as poor.
"Right." As if he had thought of something, the young man raised his eyebrows and said casually, "Recently, an organization appeared in the Kingdom of Rain. It seems to be formed by group of untouchables. Although it is not worth paying attention to, I have sent my people In the past, you could..."
Creak.
"Your Majesty, Your Majesty!"
Just when he was about to explain something, a waiter suddenly pushed open the door and walked in with a panicked expression, holding a box tremblingly in his hands.
Wrapped in colorful ribbons, it looks very bright.
The young man who was interrupted was slightly unhappy. He frowned and glanced at the box, then glanced at the waiter's face and said coldly: "You'd better give me a reasonable explanation."
"You, the people you sent..." The waiter trembled, his face was full of fear, and his hands could not help but tremble.
In an instant, the "gift box" he was holding fell from his hand, making a frightening creaking sound on the ground, and a strange sound similar to a rubber ball deflating.
In the eerie silence, gurgling black blood gradually flowed out of the gift box, winding along the gaps in the expensive carpet towards Danzo's feet.
The room that was originally filled with elegant fragrance was gradually filled with the pungent and foul smell of blood.
The dead human head rolled to the ground, and the young man's frightened face was reflected in his eyes.
